People should be more specific in their posting. I notice that at least one person was. Thank-you. A company by the same name also has a headquarters in Nova Scotia and is on the short list for an award right now as we speak from the Halifax Chamber of Commerce. Please, if you are going to insult a company specify that it is an American company so that it does not hard the reputation of the Canadian company.

I just received a call about an upcoming trade show we attended as well, and googled their number to find out who they were. The Better Business Bureau gives them an "F" rating. I am guessing the positive remarks are all from their "employees".

National Travel Associates is from Henderson, NV and has been a problem for years. They look up information about a previous conference and contact all the exhibitors from the meeting the year before. They are not associated with the societies. They are just a bunch of trolls. I have had calls from them for at least 10 years and have reported them to numerous medical societies who have asked them to cease and desist. I have told them to stop calling me yet they have called 3 times in the past month about 3 different meetings we attended. They will take your credit card info and charge you but you will almost certainly not have any rooms.
I also reported them to the BBB in Las Vegas. National Travel Associates never responded.
Shannon and James (or whatever your real names are), you guys are just shills and probably work for NTA.

---> "APSCU?s website now warns of ?Annual Convention Lodging Scam Alert: BEWARE!? Apparently, ?at least two companies have been calling APSCU 2012 Annual Convention registrants and exhibitors luring them to book hotel rooms through them.? But, ?This effort is in no way sanctioned by APSCU and interferes with APSCU?s existing contracts with hotels to secure adequate room space and favorable group rates for Convention participants?. The two known companies are: National Travel Associates and Convention Expo Travel. The scams may be operating under other names, as well. THESE COMPANIES HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH APSCU. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THESE ATTEMPTS AT ?HOUSING PIRACY,? WHICH IS A SCAM AFFECTING THE LAS VEGAS CONVENTION BUSINESS.? Well, then. We don?t want anyone ripped off."
Yeah, I'm going with 'unhappy' too - unhappy that they were scammed/cold called. Not cool.
So yes, you're a shill, and this company is a fraud. Thanks for playing.
Posters, if these scammers call you, just remember: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! http://www.nbcnews.com/id/6867582/ns/travel-travel/t/top-travel-scams/

Yes I had a missed call from them and I decided to search the number online because I did not recognize it! And I decided to post a comment when I read this B.S. probably from a jealous competitor or maybe and an unhappy customer!

And you just HAD to come here and tell everyone this...why? Reads like shilling to me, which makes this "company" look even worse.

NTA was very friendly, helpful, and thorough. They did an excellent job helping to arrange my flights for my family and me for next year.

What a scam. They called about an upcoming conference, asking if I wanted to reserve a block of rooms. They had none of my info from the prior conference (unlike the agency actually authorized to book on behalf of the conference) and started phishing for how many rooms I'd need at such ridiculous rates.
I contacted the authorized agency who confirmed they were poachers trying to get credit card info, and reserve rooms that aren't even available yet! Unbelievable.

Reads like shill-spam. Could go either way.

NTA is the best travel agency I've ever worked with in the 17 years I've been doing business travel. They are easy to get in touch with, provides a lot of ideas for making my travel arrangements more convenient, and they're able to answer all of my questions even when they are not directly related to travel (e.g. finding out what time zone the city I'm traveling to is in, warning me about potential weather related issues so I can better book my flights).

Noo it's not a scam , i booked through them some rooms in Boston and the hotel they got me was very nice , You just didnt trust them

Legit conference and not legit booking company. Jeff called with only 5 rooms left! I work closely with this organization and know there that the claimed "National Travel Associates" group that he claims to work for doesn't exist. Checked with the organization and they confirmed...most likely a credit card theft scam?
