I suspect it is a bill collector calling my cell phone number several times a day, six days a week.  Who the <bleep> are these guys and why won't they stop when I threaten them with a lawsuit?  They leave no message when I ignore them, either.

There lucky if they can get you to pick it up ,they don't even get that far with me,I hang the phone up on them the second it shows up on my caller ID.I don't answer it,nor does it even make it to my ear,it rings I hit talk and disconnect it all in one second.I don't waste my time with these idiot's even for one minute anymore.The only time they get a message through is when someone is not home to hang up on them.

they call me all the time for bills i can't pay.i just don't have the money,i tell them i'm gonna feed my kids before i pay them.one of them told me that my kids could wait they want there money-i'm very rude to them anymore as they are to me.

I gave my son a new tracfone about 2 or 3 weeks ago.  they kept calling my minor son looking for someone else.  I called and explained.  They were helpful and said they'd remove the number.  We'll see what happens...

To the so-called "professional(s)" who work for the collection agency in question (and I'm talking right at "idiots", "lol" and "shutandpay"):

First of all, you're not.  Professional, that is.  Not when you berate, belittle and insult the intelligence, integrity and competence of those whom you harass.  Yes, harass, you arrogant, sorry excuse for human beings.  Spare me (and ALL of us here) your lame attempt at moral and legal superiority as you have all the ethics and principles of a slug and how DARE you have the unmitigated gall to say "I'm simply doing my job".

Second, I have explained until I'm blue in the face that the hospital bill which you are attempting to collect is being paid for by the State of Illinois' Victim Compensation Fund (NOT ME!) and it was released to the hospital whom you're "representing" as of October, 2007 (Note:  today's date;  2/19/2008!).  You're calling the wrong person, as I have done my part and the state has done its part.  It's not my fault they haven't received it so if you want it so bad, get it yourself and STOP CALLING ME (on my cell phone, no less)!!!

Third, I work nights and sleep days and when you call me several times a day as you have been doing for the last several weeks, it interrupts my sleep schedule and makes it difficult to do my job adequately.  I'm writing when I should be sleeping because I was waked with yet another phone call which has peeved me back into consciousness.

I'd pray for your soul if you had one between you.

I defy any of you to worm your way out of the incredible lawsuit with which I'm going to nail you.  Consider yourself warned and reported to the proper authorities.

The DO NOT CALL LIST only works if they are calling you trying to sell you something, but if you owe them a debt it doesn't matter what list you are on.  Plus because it seems like it has something to do with medical bill do to HIPAA laws they can't leave that info on a voice mail.  Just pick up the phone and you can stop the calls by paying the bill you know you owe.

Then maybe you should have taken it up with the hospital or get lawyer to sue the hospital. The only reason why they are calling you is because the debt went unpaid with the hospital and therefore got turned over to collections.  You can't just go around getting free health care thats why medical bills are so high because there are so many bills that go unpaid.  The hospital give you a service you should pay the bill and if you don't agree with the service or the bill then don't wait sp long to say something about it. ACF Medical doesn't work for the hospital they are a 3rd party. They are doing their job just like the doctor that helped you in your time of need.  Just do your country a favor pay your debts.

Simple Carol. I checked it ACF Medical Services was founded in 2005. It's parent company Atlantic Credit & Finance was founded in 1996. It states that in what you posted. The names are close so I can understand the confusion. Hope that helps.

Since you obviously don't proof read what you write, you should at least use the spell check feature on your computer so we don't have to try and figure out what you're writing. Besides, it's very difficult to read things that are entirely written in capitol letters. Also, I understand that you're doing a job, but it's the way your company talks to people that makes us not want to deal with you. Your company has a bill for us that our insurance rightfully should have paid. We had no idea that the insurance wouldn't cover it. If we did know that beforehand, my wife could have had that same procedure done just before she had life saving surgery instead of the day before.

Yelling at people in a poorly written and misspelled post probably isn't the best way to get people to see your point of view, but the message you are trying to convey is correct, they should have to pay their bills just like everyone else does and it is ridiculous that they are getting upset about this company trying to collect on something they owe. Now, mistakes happen everyday, they could have the wrong number or a different person with the same name and that does happen but there are probably just as many if not more that actually owe these bills and for some reason or another, on purpose or not, don't think or don't realize that they need to be paid. I live in the same city as this company and know many people that work there. It is a legit collection agency that purchases past due bills from hospitals and collects on them. Obviously there seems to be a mistake on the phone companies part because the name of the company is ACF Medical not AFC as some people say their caller ID's show. They have 2 different branches with ACF and a law firm side working together to collect on medical and credit card bills. If your getting calls from these people you either have a past due bill that is now in their hands or someone with the same name, use to have your number or address does and all you need to do is talk to them and get it straightened out. It is a large company with upwards of 500 or more workers so you may have to get it straightened out with a few different people before it all gets in the system but screaming and cussing back and forth on the internet(both sides at fault and it is very unprofessional) doesn't get anything accomplished. Talk to them, if you have a bill pay it, if not get the confusion straightened out and be done with it. That simple.
