Hello, Everyone! I know this is a few years TOO LATE...however, I have just checked my credit report and found this company listed as being an account in collection for the amount of 124 dollars! I do not have a bank account, own a vehicle, and I am paid in cash by my employer! If these folks are scammers, how are they able to list themselves as a legitamate company like this? I am really upset because this is affecting my credit that I have worked very hard to rebuild after my divorce! Who do I have to contact to have this BULLCRAP REMOVED FROM MY CREDIT REPORT? I didn't think so...these people keep calling me from an unknown number and threatening me about a case. I guess they will do anything to make you pay them...NOT HERE!!!! I know it's a scare tactic and if I didn't get a notice or phone call from the State Attorney's office, IT'S NOT REAL!!!!

I also have an item on my credit report from these folks stating I owed $100.00 for a parking violation in the City of Dallas. I had to search for them on the Internet and stumbled on this website. I was about to call and solve the problem, but after reading these reviews I changed my mind.

I've been dealing with these people for two years, different situations but same people and when I do report them to my local authorities but they just move on to a new number and a new scam. This time they call claiming to me being served and they came by my home and place of work but funny thing is I work from home and was home all day and only the ups man came to deliver stuff...I changed my number multiple times and my email but they keep harassing me

My xhusband worked at, at least two of several of the companies, owned/managed/consulted by the owner of Xerox Management Group, llc. I was made aware of their illegal activities via my xhusband. I can only imagine that some of your complaints on this timeline, are due to his compliance with his company's directions and training. This particular company only had a handfull of individuals. The two companies he worked for, were not run out of individual's homes, but at legit "offices."

I, in no way, shape, or form am here to defend their or my xhusband's actions. But to confirm from a more inside perspective that these claims of illegally attempting to obtain debt occurred. I can't apologize on behalf of my xhusband. He consciously made the decision to continue working for these companies after I provided him with info on legit debt collection practices, verses the tactics employed by him and his company.

I am, however sorry! Please file complaints with the NYS AG, FTC, BBB, and your local governing agencies, as well as complaints with Amherst Chamber of Commerce, Amherst, NY, Buffalo governing agencies, and the Amherst Police & Buffalo Police.

Received a call from this number.  The folks I talked to are a collection agency.  It was for a payday loan that I had forgotten about.  I made arrangements to pay it off and they emailed me an agreement with payment terms that I had agreed to.  The letter contained a phone number where I could reach them and speak to someone.  I have had no problems with this company since.

You obvious work for these crooks to be claiming they are legit, they can collect debt but as consumers we have rights, we do not need to be harrassed or threatened with a lawsuit. You purchase debt pennies on the dollar and the debt is now yours to collect not the original lender. You can not say you are calling on behalf of the original company saying they are going to sue you and serve you papers. You can not call and tell other people that the debtor is writing hot checks or bad checks, if you spent all this energy in actually learning laws and how to collect a debt truthfully then this post would not even be here. And you might want to tell your owners of the company license and bonds are required to even try to collect a debt in some states. So you are wasting your time. Your a crook and a con artist extorting money not collecting a debt. You are full of yourself when you say you are legit, if you are legit get a real website with actual address and contact phone numbers, get a license, and quit changing your number because you know that what you are doing is wrong and ILLEGAL on your debt collecting practices

Yes, I to receive this same call about summons to court for a bad check with the Cash Store and gave my bank account number for ACH electronic deductions they have taken $150.00, $75 payment plan for 5 installments is this a scam.

My mother received a call about returned checks,  i have not written a check in a few years. They called my parents phone in a different state. If they are legit they should be able to locate me as I am listed in the phone directory.

you guys are off base. daniel chamorro doesnt own xerox and neither does dan olcott.  dan chamorro was only an it guy and dan olcott just set up the entity. the real owner of xerox management group is shris collins under his "consulting firm" cjc consulting. he is a scum bag con artist, he has his collectors trained in how to use the "shake and close" which is when the collectors call up posing as process servers to sscare people into calling, then threaten legal action to get them to pay. its the only thing he knows and he does it at all of his companies. bayside management, titan, international systems development, santa fe management services, orbit international services, and several more. none are listed under chris collins directly, always under a friend or relative. his operating agreements list his scam "consulting company cjc-consulting.  do not pay these dirt bags a dime record all conversations and have an attorney file suit! also report to the NYS AG!

so i was getting calls from 866-344-7763 some guy saying he was retained to serve me with a summons it sounded like ajoke so i ignored it then he called my grandma my ex wifes parents so i called this place up and they were so-so to talk to and soundy ify so i didnt pay, and last week the guy that was calling me showed up to my house and served me, i did some research on these ppl when they 1st started calling and i saw nothing but bad things so i figured it was a scam, but i guess it was just ppl who didnt want to pay there bills and were mad they were calling them to pay there bills, now i went to court and my 500 bill is at like 2300 with court and atty fees!! FML

I have been getting these calls for months and my sister has as well.  They will not leave me alone and they threaten and harrass me daily!  What can I do outside of changing my number?  I have already reported them to the FTC,

Received a call from Kevin Williams about a summons to be served on some jerk who had the number before me a year ago or longer.  I think this was Xerox.  I don't give them any info.  They are not a legitimate debt collector as not licensed in this state.  Report to FTC - they have a file on them.

I am receiving harrassing phone calls from 877-599-8744. The company name is Xerox.They leave messages stating that there has been fradulent charges against my account which is not true.  I asked them to stop calling and threatening stating there has been a summons issued against me.  

I have no reason for a summons to issued against me.  I would appreciate it if you could get this company to stop harrassing me for they sound like predators and are not legal.

They don't state the name of the company when the number is dialed back.

Please be advise people, the companies are NOT SCAM ARTISTS or FRAUD.  They are legitimate companies who PURCHASE DEBT in an attempt to collect.  When lenders, both large and small have charged-off debt, they sell it and companies, know as DEBT BUYERS, purchase it and their collection staff attempt to collect.    You might also want to remember, that they are NOT the bad guys, as if people actually PAID their debts, ON TIME, there would not be a need for COLLECTORS.  

Clearly, yet another group of people who refuse to take responsibility for their actions and pay their owed debts.    Also, if someone truly intended to pay their bill, it would have never gone to the point of being purchased by a debt buyer.  

**Sherri - your claim of inquiry is absurd.  Those companies review an application and REQUIRE authentication  BEFORE funding. And yes, they can touch you.  Its all determine by whether or not they choose to waste their time.  

One last thing - NO, you do NOT have to be served by a police officer or the like. Service can be done by mail or posting.    

Please educate yourselves people, before blogging about something you clearly have NO KNOWLEDGE about.

A man by the name of Mr.Thompson called & stated for  me to call him back, and at the end of his message he stated (Yo call me back)! Con artist for real!!! Shame on these people!

Received automated calls from this number informing me that my checking account was involved in fraudulent activity.  Person contacted at that number wouldn't disclose what the name of the company is.  The number is now on report with the feds and state verified they have no record of this as a debt collection company.  Most likely a scam outfit that is now being investigated.  The information below may be accurate, but needs to be verified.

                         2) Business Address

Then report them to the FTC and your state officials.

Called Enhanced Recovery and they will look into it.

Received automatic call stating that my checking account was involved in fraud and to press 1 for more information.  I called the number 877-599-8744 and "Eric" answered and sounded very evasive when asked what was the name of company.

Report now on file with Federal Trade Commisson.  They think it is a phishing scam.

In past, they represent themselves as process servers.  

Do not give them any information and ask for the company name and address.  If they don't give that, they are not a legitimate company.

Called on my cell; recording said : This is an urgent call regarding the fraudulent use of your checking account".  I know if my checking acct is having a problem my bank would call me and identify themselves, so I hung up.

i had a loan out that i owed money on still, this company is an ADR FIRM WHICH IS ALTERNATIVE DEBT RESOLUTION and they did not contact me a server did.. i too got phone calls about a summons and its possible to be notified prior to being served. its a company that works with process servers all over the country. if you owe the damn debt pay it, it could be ten times worse for you should you decide not to. im not a slouch so i paid it off, completely understood i owed it and forgot about it....people need to own up to there s**t and stop being babies

I got a call too and talke with Gena, gave same company name. so frightening had chest pains.  record the conversations!

This place is a scam. You can't be served over the phone, has to be in person or through certified mail. I have gotten calls for the last two Fridays saying I will be served papers today to appear in court, however most courts have online access to recorsds now days and their is no record of a case being filed against me, so I called and told them you can't be served over the phone and there is no record of any case against me. Then they put me on hold and hung up. They call them selves different names, but this is a scam. A debt collector is lying if his lips are moving, don't give this people any information, just give them a legal summons when you sue their butts for violations of the FDCPA.

I need a fax number. They won't give it to me and then they hang up on me.

i got a call from this number as well and i called i think its a collection agency talking about a summons and that i have to got o courtthey had called my aunt out of town to get ahold of me this is some crazy stuff!!!!!
