That's wierd. I do not have (and have not had) any mortgage with this bank, and my house is paid off since the last year. How they can help calling people that do not need any help ?. It seems to me just trying to get personal information for something else...

This number belongs to HSBC, they are calling because you might of started a Deed-in-Leu of Foreclosure, or there is a Foreclosure on your house, you are late on a mortgage payment, etc. Talk to them and give them your account number instead of your SS#. They are very helpful on the phone so just talk to them. I am actually doing a Deed-in-Leu of Foreclosure with them. They are not fishy just a little on the dry side of things (to the point). These guys are actually trying to help you out on the issue with your home or loan that is why they are referening you to the HUD website it helps out in cases where you want to keep your home.

I don't know why they call me.  They sold my loan.  I am not attempting to make any payments to them or arrangements with them.  I am going to wait until my new servicing agent sends my papers and I will forward my payments directly to them.  Good riddance to this horrible, piece of shyt, company.  They are so corrupt that they are trying to pull out of business in the US because of issues in China.  They can go where the sun doesn't shine.

Received a message from Monica Cuz 2 days ago on home phone, and today a message on my cell called # back HSBC Beneficial, she did not know or remember calling me, said she was only calling because I initiated a call to her. She wanted $34,000.00 to stop foreclosure, said Attorney General, Banking Dept and Making Homes cannot negotiate with them, She started to laugh when when I told her we had been on a hardship because I suffer from MS, I told her I was glad our situation gave her something to laugh about. Very Very rude and laughed continually. These bandits need to be stopped. When I told her I was also taping her laughing she said didn't matter we could not use it against them. Let me know if anyone has had any luck dealing with these insensitive morons!

Be careful with this number.  It was left hung in my mailbox in an yellow small envelope,  It was hand written the name of the bank HSBC asking to call today.  No date, no sender's name. When you dialed the operator advised you to call 18005694287 or visit the web page www.hud.gov.  The operator asks for your ssn. Do not give your ssn to any unknown source. BE CAREFUL

The caller asked for my wife's social security number so they could check on her military background (none) so they could proceed with a short sale for a house we previously owned.  The caller couldn't tell me exactly what this was needed for or what they were going to do with it.  Sounded very fishy.  Didn't give them the number.
