It's BMO/Mastercard trying to sell you stuff to add onto your credit card.

I worked from home often, and this number keeps calling our home asking for my wife.
'She's at work, May I know whom I talking to?'
operator said 'BOM related company' not quite BOM Master Card itself, trying to sell insurance....
So I put this number to the block list.

This is a LEGIT call from BMO. I got this call earlier today and they had all my information. Got suspicious so I hung up and called BMO Credit Card Fraud myself and they said it was actually a proactive sales call from their sales department. So it is legit, but still annoying as hell.

This number calls my cell every single day and it's really annoying. I never answer, but I looked the number up on Google and it's the Days Inn. I've never stayed there, so I don't know how they got my number!

Easiest thing to do is add the number as a contact with the name "telemarketer do not answer". Set the ring tone to no tone, no vibrate and it solve most of your promblems. Add all other telemarketer and cruise line numbers to it. An your mother in law's :)

Leona 2014-05-06 20:38:23 Unknown
This number calls me every few days! Always shows up as a missed call - no voicemail left on my phone so I don't know who this caller is or what they want.
dom 2014-04-24 21:25:30 Unknown
So do I but I. Never answered and didn't get a voice message
YYC 2014-03-31 18:01:25 Unknown
Didn't answer, but they've been calling about every 2nd or 3rd day and not leaving a message.

Got a call from them last night, and the guy was rude when i asked about the number showing up as a U.S. number on my phone, and then when i said i was not interested, he just abruptly hung up. I made a complaint to BMO. Any self-respecting company would not harass their clients like this. Depending on their answer, i will decide if i take my business elsewhere.

I am a BMO customer. It's really annoying, I work Monday-Fridays and asked them to stop calling me during work hours (more than once I've asked) and they still persistently call!
Delina 2014-01-28 16:41:03 Unknown
They call me pretty much every day and every day I don't answer. THey never leave a message... i think i answered twice and nothing.
A 2013-12-03 23:02:17 Unknown
While I agree that it sounds 100% like a scam, apparently it's not. I called up BMO right afterwards and was told it's legit.
VanRogers 2013-11-28 21:56:04 Unknown
I did not answer, I live in Vancouver on Rogers.
Patrick O'Shaughnessy 2013-11-27 20:03:40 Unknown

If you own an Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S4 here), you may have a Reject List on your phone which will automatically reject calls from phone numbers that you have in the list. I have this number among many others and I never hear my phone ring or get any notifications of missed calls etc. from these numbers. LOVE IT. Technology working in our favour ;)
For the S4 on Android version 4.2.2 the Auto Reject list is accessed via the Phone app, then click on Menu button to get Call Settings, then it's under Call Rejection. *thumbs up*

They said it was Protocol (a call centre outfit) calling on behalf of BMO. Sounded legit but I told them I was not interested after their spiel, and asked they remove me from their calling list, so I don't know if they ask for personal information or not. (And they were selling BMO balance insurance.)
Dan 2013-11-06 19:13:12 Unknown
They hung up as soon as I answered. I highly suspect it is not a legit caller.
Shayna 2013-11-01 18:21:10 Prank Call
Annoying call, I answered but it was dead silence.
Kai 2013-10-31 16:49:38 Unknown
People should look into getting white hat hackers to assist them if it gets serious, as they are viable in tracking down phone number spoofing and should have a great insight on how their system works.
Kai 2013-10-31 16:38:58 Unknown
There's way more numbers than those btw, these fraudsters are running collection type called and uses various means to get your information, and grill you for more information then payment.
They also could be companies local to this area that are hiding their 'telemarketing' schemes in plain sight!

Do note that thanks to the modern technology and internet, you can spoof phone numbers to hide them.
Hence they can utilize existing owned numbers, or use infection to make calls from said phone systems, to harass people.
In order to really combat these people, we need to reach out to White Hats.

f-off 2013-09-18 19:09:59 Unknown
They are calling the last couple of days asking for my daughter. When i ask to take a message they just hang up. I will not give them any information and never will. They are a scam out fit and if it was bmo they have there nerve phoning. They expect they will get information there screwed. I see capital one on this site advertising they are screwed too all they are is a money making scam bank.
Attawapiskat 2013-09-11 13:27:22 Unknown
If it really was BMO they would not ask for your bank card number. They don't ask that information over the phone. Fortunately you were smart and didn't give them that information. I don't believe this is BMO at all.
EC 2013-09-09 18:34:29 Telemarketer
I just got a call from them. They knew my landline number and my brother's name.
Ann 2013-07-23 14:06:35 Unknown
So you gave a random computer your private info? Do you WANT your identity stolen?
If you didn't call them, don't give anyone your info.
