This is Wachovia trying to present a special promotion.  If you answer, there is dead silence.  Hang up and redial the number back and a voice message will allow you to be removed from their calling list.

Same thing--I called back and Wachovia and they gave me an option to opt out of future calls.  This should be the standard of all telemarketing.  I think I will write my Congressman, as if he cares.

Calls from this number 5 or 6 times a day, no message.  Comes up 800 Service on the caller ID

It was indeed Wachovia, but is now Wells Fargo.  I opted out and since I have an account there, I didn't mind giving my phone number.  This is one of the nicest 800 service calls I have received.

This is an automated call from Wachovia about "a special promotion" offer.  If one calls the same number (877-615-0292) an automated voice give instructions, with prompts, to remove your number from this and future marketing efforts.
