I just recievd a call from 877-616-7330.  I perfromed a star -69 twoice to identify the caller's number and a star-57 trace on the number.  I also reproted the number to the FTC at 877-382-4357.  The caller supposedly represented an organization called "Degree Match.  I had recieved a call last week from Education Connection.  Both calls came in respnise to my filling out an on-line questionanrie stating that I wante to continue amy education.  Both solcitors represetned bogus degree programs.  I already posess two M.Ed. degrees from first and thrid teir universities, as well as three undergraduate degreesfrom colleges and unviersities with regional name recogniaition.  The frist organization was a placement service for Argosy Univesity which as far as I am conerned had nothing to offer;  the counselors had not qualifciations; and those with whom I last spoke could not tell me how to obtain a fellowship from a unviersity inw hcih I laready have graduate work past my second M.Ed. degree-- so as far as I am concered the whole educational connection and counseling service is bogus.  The Degree Connection call was not solicited, either.  So both fraudulent degree matching services were reported by me to the FTC.  In addition, I never solicited any of thses services personally.  I only indicated that I wanted to continue my education on an on-line survey.  At any rate, I hope that the FEDS can clamp down on theses bogus companies.  As far as I am concnered they are all run by  on-line GYPSIES!

It has been 10 days for me and no credit has been issued to my bank account. I find it suspicious that the customer service people can't tell me the name of the company who charged my account.  I called the listed number today and was hung up on twice as I was on hold.

I WORK WITH A BANK AND A CUSTOMER FILED A CLAIM WITH US STATING THAT THEY GOT A CHARGE FOR $149.95.  I CALLED THE PHONE #LISTED AND WAS ON HOLD FOR A WHILE BUT I WAS ABLE TO SPEAK WITH A REP AND WITH THE CUSTOMER ON THE PHONE I WAS ABLE TO GET A REFUND FOR THE CUSTOMER.  THE MERCHANT SAID THAT THERE THEY ARE JUST A PROCESSOR AND THERE IS NO INFORMATION ON THE CHARGE WHERE ITS FROM OR WHAT ITS FOR.

I did get my money back in two installments.  Had to file a dispute with my bank to get the second installment.  I was refunded almost immediately.

They should not be able to say you only have to pay $2.95 for some information about the company a thousand times over and then hide elsewhere that they will charge huge fees later. IT IS DISHONEST!!

I went online to the Better Business Bureau website and filed a complaint against DCABIZ.com (Direct Commerce Academy).  The following is the address from the BBB:

DCABIZ.com
510 Timpanogos Pkwy
Orem, UT 84097-6212

I closed my account with a man named Morgan (800-396-4039).  The same man called himself Logan at a previous phone call that I placed 10 minutes earlier when I unsucessfully tried to get a refund.  I also filed a claim with my bank and will now file a complaint with the FTC.

Good luck.

Sean, Have you seen the $75.00 yet or is that just what you have been told you have earned? Yes this, like the other things presented by Dr. Jay Schrader is a scam. And 'only' $2000.00 down payment for one on one coaching. figure out how many hours this will entail and divide that into  $2000 or actually $5000 if you go through with the whole contract. P.T Barnum said it a long time ago..."There is a sucker born every minute." Welcome to the real world when you wake up.

myself applied for the direct commerce academy last week. I was smart enough to read the small print though. I knew what charges were coming but I decided to apply the and put some time into it. Its taking me a little bit of time but im learning and I did make 75$ earlier today. I also got a phone call from their Success and Development division and they offer another program that allows you to work 1 on 1 with a coach that will help you with building an online business, They do ask for about a minimum of a $5000 investment into tools and training. I didnt have that kind of money to spend but then they told me that they offer in house financing. They said I only had to pay $2000 and they would finance the rest. I have and Appointment to talk with them next week. I was curious about these so called "Scams" but it looks to me like you people are honestly getting caught up in your OWN mistakes and blaming this company because YOU did not read the terms and conditions. I mean if you honestly think that you only pay $2.95 and expect to make a 1000 % profit you probably are not smart enough to be succesful anyways. It is working for me and I feel like if I put in a little more time eventually I can make some money. Maybe not in the Thousands of dollars but its still to soon to tell. Yes I paid all those same charges as everyone else $2.95 here, $139 there and then my monthly fee. But like I said I did make $75 in one day so that means its over 50% paidoff already. I could pay off the investment I made later this week and then everything after that is just pure income. Its a process people!! I personally dont feel there is anything wrong with the Direct Commerce Academy, The only issue I see is people wanting to make money without having to actually work or earn it. Glad to to know my tax dollars are still supporting jobless, freeloaders that cant accept responsability for themselves.

Wow! I have never done anything that was so stupid, I signed up with DCA and researched them after the fact.  I know now that they're a big scam!! But listen all, I was lucky enough to call back one day later and have my account closed.  I was told by 'Victoria' that there is a 5 day trial period where I could cancel...yippeeee!! (she tried telling me future charges was disclosed in some fine print right next to the sign up box but I didn't see it)  My account is now closed, she gave me a confirmation number and I should be receiving an email shortly.  Well I'm not holding my breath on that and will also contact my financial institution to be sure no other charges are applied to my account.  Had I not read the many posts online I would have been charged $68.71 monthly!!  I didn't ask for how long, I don't care at this point as I'm safe (I think).  If you need a real number for customer support it's 800-381-1681.  I wish you all the best of luck if you're trying to get this MESS taken care of after the 5 day trial.

you must be a part of their company if you want to talk like that sir.! Because.. when i read the T&C thats when i canceled.. but everyone else who did it too still got charged.. and another thing.. who THE F**K sets it up to where the things your being charged for is in another pop up window.. if that were the case it should?ve popped up over the window that i was on that way i wouldn?t proceed w/ anything.. BUT IT DIDN?T!!! .. And to top it all off, they have BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE... i couldn?t talk to a supervisor.. 3x that i called.. NO SUPERVISOR! I?ve been given false information twice.. one was that my charged wouldn?t got through not even the 0.99 and that the charge of 29.95 came up in a pop window which is has not!!!! So "S" tell your dumb a** company that what they?re doing to others is ALL BULLSH**!!!!

I am going through this right now as well.  I called and tried to get my money back...they said that the most they could give me was $40.00.  I said - if I go to target and buy something, and it turns out that I don't like it, I can return it.  If I go and get my hair done, and I don't like it, they will fix it.  So, I just filed a complaint with the FBI (internet crimes)....and I have the info for the BBB, and will be filing as many formal complaints as possible.  My biggest concern is that the supposed $2.97 initial fee, ended up being $5.00.  It was charged over 6 different transactions within seconds of each other:  1.97, .02 (international), 1.00, 1.00, .01 (international) and 1.00.

Anyone else have this happen?  Also - they gave me a fax number for complaints: 310-861-0206...no answer when I faxed my letter, imagine that.
