These guys really need to get their facts straight. Like Frank before me, the name they are looking for at my number is one I never heard of... and I've had the same number for over a decade.

Called me close to 100 times in the last 8 months since I moved to my recent address. The autovoice asks for someone who doesnt even live here, or Ive never heard of it. Over and over and over they call asking for this person who i dont know. i dont exadurate when i say 100 times

Declared bankruptcy six months ago and these bottom feeders bought the old bill that I included with the rest of my bills. The old collections agency sold the bad debit to A1 and have now promptly send me a letter demanding payment, plus $138.88 in interest and fees. These guys don?t even accept a letter from the trustee.

Getting a message twice a week to call for a very important message but do not say who they are so I hang up.

THIS LOSERS HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR WEEKS TO GET MONEY OUT OF ME FROM A DIRECT ENERGY BILL FROM AN ADDRESS THAT I LIVED AT 10 YEARS AGO AND THE BILL WAS NOT EVEN UNDER MY NAME ... THEN I CALL BACK 2 DAYS LATER AND THEY GAVE ME A DIFFERENT ADDRESS I LIVED AT " WTF " TOTAL SCAM A$$ MOFO !! ... THEY HAVE NOT STOPPED CALLING ME AND KNOW WHEN I CALL THEM I GET A WHISTLE READY AND AFTER I GIVE THEM MY INFO AND THEY FIND OUT IT'S ME I BLOW IT IN THE PHONE !!

THESE PEOPLE ARE DISGUSTING AND ALL NEED TO GO F&&K THEMSELFS TRYING TO RIP PEOPLE OFF !!

We recently located to Ottawa and were given a new phone # by Rogers. Unfortunately for us, not only does Rogers recycle phone numbers after 30 days, but the number we got was associated with 4 people (roommates?) who are being hunted by credit agencies. We were getting multiple calls each day for them and it is time-consuming contacting these companies, explaining we aren't them, don't know who they are, and the phone number is no longer associated with them. We also get lovely calls at 6 am from people who can barely speak English and insist on calling back again and again even after we've explained the person they are looking for no longer is at this number. It's so incredibly frustrating, not only having to sort this all out, but that some of the employees I've spoken with (and despite being REALLY annoyed at this, I've been polite - no yelling or swearing) have been so incredibly rude with me. It's too bad we've already given out our number, or I'd just ask Rogers to give us a new one. I understand that with so many cell phones (often multiple per household) phone numbers are becoming scarce, but they have to really give more than 30 days before putting an old number back in service.

Got a call from them which was a recording wanting someone with the same last name but wrong first initial. Never had XM Radio or Universal Energy so just hung up.

I get calls from this number at least once a month asking for different people each time. The only thing in common is the last name of the person they are looking for is the same as my husbands. I've even gone so far as to call them back to let them know they have the wrong number but they still keep calling...*sigh*

Happened to me after 5 years.. receved a fine as a minor from the town i live in, 5 yrs later get a call from a-1 credtors saying i owe them 3 times the original fine.. get real..

Just to carry on this thread, I got the same bullsh!t letter in the mail today.  My annual account expired and they cut off the service and I figured that's the end of that.  Turns out they had re-actived my account and sent the charge to the A-1 collection agency.

I'm going to call both companies tomorrow but I will be letting everyone know load and clear, in person and on the internets, NOT to do business with XM Radio.  They are scamming people and I will not tolerate it!!  In this day and age for a company with that much visibility, it's suicide to blantantly scam people in this way!!

I just got a call on my cellphone from Unknown and a woman told me to call the 619 number.  The caller never identified herself or the company she was calling from.

I've never even had XM radio.  Why would I get a call?  Sounds like they decided to just call random numbers to see who calls back or pulls out a credit card.

Exact same thing happened to us - made the mistake of calling back after hearing the message that we were being turned over to a collection agency.  Also called XM to protest - somehow our XM was reactivated October 2010 - they couldn't tell us how, even though they had record of us canceling in April 2010.  We're fighting it - not because of the $95 - it's the principal - look how many people have been scammed so far, they are making a fortune on this.  We have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, our State Attorney General's Office, the FCC, and have informed GM of the disservice XM is doing to them by offering this "free" trial.  Also, there is an attorney in California that is trying to put together a class action lawsuit - no cost to the participants.  His name is Arasto Farsad - email is arasto99@gmail.com.  Tell him your story - he will respond in a matter of minutes. Worth a try.

Answering machine gets message that this is not a sales call but important information and to call back at given number.  Never have.

You're so right...they are crookerd especially a-1 credit...the best thing about it is none of their collectors have a collectors license to work..they can be sued for alot of money if someone from the ministry found out....I know because my cousin used to work for them..says the owner Anna Day is a real B***h

Thanks for the info, this number is calling me daily on my work cell. Very annoying. I cancelled my XM & even went so far as to cancel the credit card so they would't keep billing me. I have answered the call & it's just a computer. I hate XM at this point. Now a collection agency!!! I wonder if anyone at XM knows what effect this is having on any further business. I get the exact call, a couple times in the last week. I just returned it and it is A-1 Creditors. I didn't properly cancel an XM radio and give into their ridiculous cash grab so they sent it to a creditor. I'm a little angry about the whole situation and don't really want to get into it.

Thanks for the info.  I was going to call back but since it's XM satellite, I am not going to call them back either.  I've had numerous disputes with them about "not cancelling properly" just as Dave mentioned and it just pisses me off.

Christmas 2007 I got xm radio as gift. came with 3 months free service but required credit card to hook up. didn't like it after first month and let it go... then now Oct 22 I get call from collection agency say I owe xm radio 58 bucks for service. some place in ther TOS there is a line that say they auto bill. my credit card was stolen and replaced and so they couldn't bill. They sent me to collections over this just throwing the TOS down my throat. VERY SNEAKY SCAM BUSINESS

Same story here...I cancelled an XM radio account which I had paid in full. 8 months later I get a strange phone call from this number and it turns out that XM sent me to collections for $50.00 that I didn't know I owed.

I was really unimpressed with XM over this. I didn't receive any statements since paying off my account and then I get a call from a collection agency.

XM SUCKS!! We had the same B.S. happen to us as well...they're a bunch of scam artists!  I got this number on my call display today and wanted to find out who it was, and now I am REALLY mad that it has something to do with XM!!

I have been arguing with XM radio for the past couple of months over cancellation process...I am not paying them a cent...I DID NOT renew the darn subscription..then I get this message today. A friend of mine suggested to contact the Better Business Bureau to put in a complaint. After reading the previous messages, that's what I am going to do!!

877 613 3774 comes up as 'unknown', left a message finally.  It is the credit company.  They are also calling on 877 619 3774.  

I remeber trying to cancel XM and the lady giving me nothing but grief as I didn't have the right (expired) credit card number, so seh doubted my identity.  It appears the credit collector doesn't have the same standards.  XM doesnt work in my town.

So I keep getting calls and automated voicemails from this number. Today, a live person left a message saying that I need to contact her immediately before it hurts my credit rating.

How have people gotten rid of this? I'm going to ask that all correspondence be in writing.

I got a call from them today.  Mine is not for xm radio but for Universal Energy.  I never had an account with them and now they want 600 from me.  Needless to say they wont get a dime out of me.
