keep calling from all kind of nur differnt ph every time i block one they call from some where else but they got my address from some where but i think my email been broken into that first they was calling about trying to make me take a loan i told them i didnt need one then thats when i started to get those crazy ph callings

they keep calling me saying they gonna send police to pick me up on criminal charges that i took loan out they closed my account  without them giving me information unt trying to make me pay 300 dollars today that first they waas telling me to meet them at the nearest police station talking about they going to pick me up and for me to have 9000 dollars and my lawyer

i rcvd phones calls from this number as well 716-335-9947 several times a day it is ditto from the one above you need to call us or your lawyer/attorney ---threatening to serve me--no details to creditor owed and have not rvd anything in the mail from them------interesting huh------glad I found this posting as well---good to know----

I just got a voicemail yesterday and today from that same number stating that a civil suit was being taken out on my husband...thanks for your posting

These people have been callingmy work phone for weeks.  Mrs. Brown, from 716-748-8062.  She has my information and says they are going to serve me in the county where I live and serve me at work.  Of course this scared me but I am glad I found this site.  I am contacting my lawyer and starting a harassment suit.  

Has anyone heard of another collection company called Critical Resolution Mediation?  I almost set up a payment arrangement with them because they had my totally thinking I owed a loan company.  Then when I wasn't able to make my first payment and I requested 1 more day they told me never to contact them again and they were serving me court papers.  The next day a different person from there called and started the whole process over.  These people are WORSE than PR&G.  They call my work number several times a day and when I don't answer they call back repeatedly.  ugh

I have gotten several calls from these guys as well.  Research the debt laws for your state and stay calm because you cannot be arrested for bad debt.  They can try to summons you to court but if you file an answer to the summons, chances are they won't show.  It costs thousands of dollars to sue someone so they won't likely do it for a small amount.  Just hand up or don't answer their phone calls.  Eventually, they will go away.  Or, F---K with them and tell them you are filin charges against them for fraud and ask them all the questions about who they are, phone numbers and addresses, etc....They will hang up right away, LOL!

I received a call from PRG and associates this afternoon, I immediately hung up the phone as I was in a meeting at work.  Immediately they called back and left a message stating that they don't know why I hung up and that myself or my attorney needs to call them back immediately at 716-247-5132 and speak with Alison Snyder.  When I got home I called and spoke with her, and she explained that were calling in reference to a complaint of breech of contract I had allegedly committed. I requested more information and she could only tell me my last 4 of my social, and the amount I reportedly owed on an old debt dating back to 2002.  I asked who the original creditor was and she only had the last 4 digits of an acct #, and a balance of $2000 and change.  I asked her to please send me the documentation she had and some reference to her company so I could look it over, and she immediately got irate and put me on hold. 5 min later another woman came on the line and started steamrolling me with a long dialog, and when I tried to break in to get a word in and ask a question she also became irate and shouted at me not to interrupt and not to talk over her.  I again stated I would like speak, she shouted "have a nice day sir, do not contact this firm again" and hung up.

Well, at least she told me to have a nice day! lol

Today we got a call from 716-335-9947  from Mr. Masee from PRG  and associates in the litigation department asking my husband or his attorney to call because a civil complaint was filed against him in this office. I search them in google and find your post the number he was ask to call is the same as the number you were ask to call except ext 309 We are for sure going to be aware Thanks for the post.

My mom recieved a call from PRG lawfirm today stating that I or my lawyer was to contact them before they filed a lawsuit against me. I Called them back and spoke with a "Bobby" hard to tell if it was a male or female. They said that I owed $1200 from an unpaid payday laon. This is possible because I did lose my job and took out a loan that I only paid back part of. Not proud but 2009 was aweful for a lot of us. He said I could make payments to them, which I agreed to do but when I asked for paperwork to crossreference my payday info with he got exremely upset and I said I was in the wrong asking for proof. I was a vcitum of Fraud and I know not  to do anything without written documentation, let alone give out my bank account or cc info. He screamed at me telling me I was at fault and he wasn't "going to halfhazzardley send out documents" then hung up the phone. Im very glad I did the rite thing and didn't give him any info. When I got home I gogled PGR and found this page. The number they called me from is 716-335-9947 his ext. is 310.  What a scam!!! I will be reporting this the the fraud unit listed in my local yellow pages. I feel bad for anyone who falls for this. Especially our elders who may not know better.

I received a call from PRG & Associates told. Stating I had written bad checks through my credit Union. Saying they filed a civil suit against me for bank fraud. All a scam. Couldnt give me any information on this case.  Tried to get me to pay $580 from a payday loan. They called from 716 980 4133

I recurved.a call stating that there was a law suit connected with my name and ss #. They called 17 x in a row. They said i was a real Bi*** and called from multiple #. I knew they we're scanners. But now they're harassers too.

they have a new name and new number.  I have been on here for hours filing complaints with atty generals office.  Their new name is International Arbitrator Services Mark whitfield is the Director of Claims, b***s***. his number is 440-377-4694.  Then there is Legal assistant Abrianna French 866-531-6617, and Investigator Erica Jones @ 704-743-4322 ext 101.  All scammers!!!!!!!! its funny cuz i had my credit pulled to buy a house and nowhere on my report is their a payday loan from 2004

716-312-4001 Person named Andrew called my brother in law and told him many details about the debt and stated it was for bad checks.  I suspect this is due to a pdl not paid to cashnet.  When I tried to call the # is was blocked.  Any information would be appreciated so I can report the harrassment.

I received a call at 11:30pm. Satating they would like to entertain the reason why I have not paid.   The fact the call came in so late and the person sounded like thet were in a bathroom stall.  They said they will take it to the courts but wanted to give me one last chance to come up with an excuse as to why I have not paid my bad debt.  I knew something was off but could not pin point it. I will not be calling back!

I just went through the exact experience. The PRG collectors have lots of good information. In fact, I had moved to a different job, and had closed a couple of bank accounts. One day at work last week I pick up a call and they ask for me. I confirm it's me and they hang up. The next day the PRG collector called and started in on the degrading harassment.
Best I can tell - CashNet does sell their loans to a collection company they do consider to be reputable, DMP - who in turn sells the "old loans" to the parent company of PRG, LLC, otherwise knowns as Portfolio Recovery Group. Like the author below, I called CashNet and talked to someone in their fraud department. They had never heard of DMP - claiming they would never enlist a loan shark collectors to collect for them.
Bottom line is that CashNet has to take some responsibility for the harassment of their customers. PRG collectors are obnoxious and condescending, and will use any means to convince someone to hand over money. They are arrogant and horrible, and try to use scare tactics such as threatening to deliver "sealed documents" to your home or office to get what they want. In addition, I'm pretty sure they found my new company name by looking me up on Facebook. So you can bet my company name is no longer posted.
Honestly, even if I had a legit debt in their office I would find someway to not deal with them. The BBB rates them as an F and there are scores of lawsuits posted on the internet of people suing PRG for Fair Collection Debt issues. Horrible company.

When I called the original creditor they said they were getting a lot of calls about PRG & Associates and not to give them any information. Apparently, they're fake debt collectors.

i have been recieving calls from a company by the name of primestar recovery group. i had no idea what they wanted so i called them back and found out i had a debt with Providian financial it was a visa card that i owed $4,230 dollars on every other company that called me about this debt refused any option to get rid of any of my interest charges. Mr. kirst said he would dissolve over $2,000 worth of interest. these people were so helpful and my credit is now where i want it to be. Thank you primestar recovery group.

GOT A MSG. FROM MR.MARTINELLI SAYING HE WAS ON AN IMPORTANT CASE REGARDING A RELATIVE OF MINE. LEFT CASE#, WHICH HE FLUBBED UP TWICE AND SAID TO CALL IN 24 HRS. OR ELSE. I CALLED AND GOT A RECORDING TWICE. LEFT MSG.ONCE, NO REPLY BACK AS YET.

i got a call from PGR ASSOCIATES they call me and say can they speak to me and told me i was bein sued by a bank and it was form 783 dallar so i call the bank they told me and that bank say they was not sueing me b/c they dont no what iam talkin about so they will ask u or tell you last number to you ssn and were u use to stay!! so what i did was put a fraudulent alert on my number and i call my city 311 and told them and let my job' no whats goin on and they told me no to worry they are not real i got a letter from them and it look like it been typed up off a typewritter

i keep getting calls from PRG and they cannot provide me with documentation of my debt just saying they bought the debt and are going to have me arrested if not paid.  i spoke to my attorney last week who said no payments are due to anyone without proof.  all i got was a demand letter via fax at home.  no documentation.  who are these guys?????  They will not get what I need and continue to call saying they can get a settlement but on what debt owed???????

these calls need to be reported to the Buffalo Attorney General's Consumer Protection Bureau by calling 716-853-8404 .

PRG and Associates called me about a bogus debt. I asked their address, and was told: 3407 Delaware Ave Kenmore NY 14217. Phone number was also 877-622-5906. I called another business in this building - who confirmed this group is not a valid business. I suspect they are only trying to get more information.

I also have received these threats. And now they are calling my father telling him I have commited an illegal act by not paying back my pay day loan to Cashnet. They also said they were faxing the info to my employer, I havent worked in over a year! This is a scam, but something has to be done they are making me look bad to past employers and my family members. I am going to report them to the general attorney in New York.

wow i was really doubtful about wether this scam thing was real or if some people were just mistaken and now i am sure this is a scam! I talked to erica too! she said she would be the one to work with me and I am calling the cops now that i remember what her name is thanks for your post!
