I had this call today! They called my family and told them that the us federals were going to pick me up on a 250 loan that I paid 1100 on and they continued to withdraw money from my account sometimes three times a month until I was informed to close my account! I'm so glad I found this thread!!!

I have gotten the same call from Landmark Litigation from a Tim stating I owe payday loan. He threatened me with warrant for wire fraud. I got scared because they had sensitive information about  me and a file number. Gave them my bank card number but then later that day I replayed something they said. I called the bank and closed my account.   He called me again this morning that the money I promised today was not posted. I ask him what address they were sending this warrant and he gave me an address I haven't use in 6 years because I'm not at that address. They are scammers but very suave. Posting this new number they are using 855-245-0137.  It comes up as LN of UR

Suspicious debt collection agency indicating they will issue a summons for your arrest if agreement not entered into or payment made via telephone calls to several in Milwaukee, WI.

Debt? This is a scam. Absolute. I actually reported this and the complaints are numerous. Additionally, EVEN if 50% owed the debts, the collection practices are AGAINST THE LAW. That's he bottom line.

No one here is suggesting that anyone fail to pay a legitimate debt.  The company using this phone number is trying to scare people into paying debts they don't owe.  No one should pay a debt if the creditor cannot prove they owe it.

Call from Katie Shaw 877-788-1474. She claims that she works dfor the legal department of Os Angeles count and would like for us to settle out of court.

I was contacted 3 weeks ago. Landmark, phone number 866-203-1454 ext:47. They knew all my info as well saying that they had paperwork ready to do a pick up & process. I was going to be charged with 3 felony charges. I had 2 options. 1 if I didn't pay on a payday loan of 300 which was supposedly a total of 700. 2 set up an payment arrangement. I was scared out of my mind. I set up the payment arrangementand made the 1st payment of 140$. I didn't want to worry my family so I told only my sister. She goes on to tell me that it's a scam they also tried to get money out of her for a payday loan about a year ago. She says that they threaten her. At this point I'm confused. I start to do my own research. I called the number back & asked how do I go about getting a receipt for the payment I made already, get this they tell me we are a paperless environment we don't get receipt. Then I asked well is there a website? No website. I get on to google & I start to see all the bad reviews about landmark. You guys got me. The 140$ you got is thte only thing you will get oit of me. Landmark is a scam. Why has no one stepped in and dis something about them?

Kathy Johnson called with MY name , stating that she was trying to reach my daughter and that they were going to serve her with a summons for "check fraud".  My daughter has never written a bad chack and this woman left a long message with personal information about my daughter when she knew that she was not speaking with my daughter. I will be harassing these people myself.

Did anything every come of this? ie: where you ever served, etc.???

And.....they are using multiple numbers to pull off their scam.

I know they are African American because I'm African American and I can tell AA vocals. This is a scam. They call from a blocked number, leaving a message which includes a bogus Claim Number, state that you are being sued, and request for you to call them back at 855-445-9437. When you call them back, the same people answer for both the advisor extension and the operator extension. They won't give you much info about their bogus company, yet request your social security number.

The facts are the facts. They are scam artists and happen to be of African descent. Suck it up!

Landmark Litigation is a HUGE scam!! My husband and I spent some time on line seeing how we can get some type of loan. I entered my info and 3 days passed and with no notification i had $250 deposited in my account. My husband didn't think anything and had used the money not knowing it was a deposit from one of these loans. anyways long story short, i ended up closing my account due to the fact that there were misc transactions being taken out of my account without any notices or permission from my husband or myself. Then a month and a half later i get a call from so called, LANDMARK LITIGATION, saying that someone from the sheriffs department is going to summons me and that my husband was being sued. It hasn't been the firs time someone had tried to scam me, so it all sounded to familiar. i contacted the people that did the loan for me and they gave me the information to what collection agency they referred me to. Ended up being another company. Nothing at all with this landmark crap. total scam they need to be stopped

Read alfalfas post above. And remember to DEMAND written, verifiable proof to be mailed to you. NOT e-mail or fax. As per federal law. When they refuse, they have confirmed that they are FRAUDS!
