This company calls about 5 times a day.   I answered them once...guy : who are you
Me: you tell me you called me.
Guy: thats not how this works.  
Me: yes it does.  You called me you tell me who your looking for ill tell you if its me.
Guy: what is your ss number?
Me: dont have to provide that
Guy: yes you do its that law and how we know its you
Me: no its not a law..in fact it is illegal for a company to ask for your ss number and i dobt have to give it to yoh .
Guy: your address?
Me: you tell me its in your file
Guy: just tell me so you can pay
Me: what am i paying for
Guy: tell me your information and ill tell you
Me:  tell you what you send me a bill in the mail with the name of the company i owe the money to and i will call them and pay them
Guy: we dont need to provide you that information
Me: then i dont need to pay you.

Next day...same voice recording....saying to call then back between 9-7 pm est.  Too bad they can tell time.   They called me at 2am.   All my calls come either before or after their business hours.

I have been harrassed by this Takhar Group for the last year except the number they are calling me from is 800-620-0371. Something about a bookclub I never joined. When I asked if I could speak to a manager, they said there was no one else I could speak to and they were going to go ahead a report this negatively on my credit score and hung up on me. So needless to say, I am not too worried about it.

they said i still owed .99 cents from a cd i bought in 2007 that i know got paid for bc my mom paid for it

And to tell them to stop calling me.

I keep getting calls from this number and I ignore calls I don't recognize. But when i called back  today, twice, it just said bye and hung up like it did with everybody else. However, I did get a very nasty message from the caller, demanding that I call them, which I was, but not to settle anything but to give her a peice of my mind for being rude and unprofessional.

I also recieved a phone call from Nancy saying I old a bill for books from 2005, I 'm not paying this people there are bottom feeder and must not be able to get a real job.  I call the person back and they wouldn't even answer the phone.  I left a message and I will not pay.  I have talk to the police in my town and heard bad news about thise company.  This company is not real TARHUR Group they are not a real company.

I also recieved an phone call from this group today with a gruff voice insisting on me calling them back on the same number they called from and to ask for ext 629,  So thanks to this forum I called the number 1-888-246-3871 and left a message that they are out of their mind and had better find a way to loose my number or their would be attorneys involved.  There needs to be a class action suit against this company.

Got one on 06/14/10. It said to call back for info regarding my file or claim. Said it was the Tarcar Group or something like that. I called back and it said to leave a message.

CA.LLED ON SUNDAY MORNING VERY EARLY. HAVE NO IDEA WHO YOU ARE. TRY GOING TO CHURCH INSTEAD OF LEAVING THREATENING CALLS ON PEOPLES PHONES.

CALLING CONSTANTLY ABOUT DEBT THAT CAN'T BE SUBSTANTIATED DEMANDING PAYMENT.

They are bottom feeders...and have no idea what an answering machine is...they start their message before the beep which means they don't give a name of who they are looking for..they have the name that is on the phone number.  
My son answer the phone one time and they tried to tell him HE owed a bill...he is mentally challenged and does NOT owe anything to anyone. All they got was his name and we taught him never to give out any information.  He hung up on them.
I have found out they are Phish...they are not hired by anyone to collect debts.

Don't call and threaten, me on the phone recording or no recording.I already told them that i don't belong to this book club and never have.They insisted that i did I found the statement that i had paid another so called craft club off last year,and?gave them that information.And that was it or so i thought now i get this threatening call form this idiot....Better find another line of work because you are not suited for this one.

Got a caller from these idiots the other day. But it was a recording saying to call back this number. That was MY big mistake. I willnever call back a message that is recorded again. The guy asked me if I wa Joanne ***** and I said yes. He told me he was calling for a debt I owed to Providian Bank. I don't have a Providian bank and account. I might have at one time many years(over 15) ago, but I dont remember. Anyway I told him I havent had a Providian Bank account he insisted I did and I owed on it.This was a collection agency. I repeated Ive never had a Providian Bank account because I really dont remember. He asked if the last 4 numbers of my social security number were %^&* and I told him Im not giving that information to a stranger over the phone. He got very rude and said then I will assume it is. I told him he could assume any f'ing thing he wanted and I hung up on him. Today I received a call, that was recorded, it an intimdating tone, threatening that I HAD to call Nancy somebody at this number. I did not and will not call back. If I ever had a Providian Bank account it would have been paid because all my bills are. I have excellent credit. But I still don't remember ever even hearing of that bank

Many collection agencies do not have any evidence to validate the debt. They often have only the most basic information about you and the amount of the debt. Thus, they tend to send you false documents for validation. They may send you a simple paper with "validation of debt" written on it or a computer generated form that looks like a billing statement. But this does not qualify as proper validation. The CA should provide you with documentation from the original creditor. A proper validation should include a copy of original agreement signed between you and the creditor, a copy of account statements or payment history from the original creditor, etc.



The CA should also provide you with details of the amount you owe in interest, fees, etc. and let you know how these fees and charges are calculated. You should not acknowledge that you owe the debt until the CA validates it properly. If you start paying them before they validate, it will be considered as an acknowledgement that you owe the debt or it may restart the Statute of Limitations (SOL) on the debt.

Takhur Group, do not pay these people a cent,  they are really bottom-feeders.  They are rude, dishonest and stupid!  Good grief, hire someone who is not out of prison, will ya?

This is a number for the Takhar Group, they are a collection agency with a reputation for calling the wrong people, not providing documentation of debts and harassment even when the debt has been settled. They called me for someone else's credit card debt after I already told the credit card company that he wasn't at my number.

I did a reverse mortgage for a lady and someone from this company is harassing the owner of the home and calling asking about my borrowers daughter. I called the number and got no response.
