these people called me teling me Im being investigated for a crime? they threatened me and said I nee to find an attorney.
I tried  returning their call 4 times and just kept getting message saying that they don not accept ccalls from people who have their number blocked. I do not have my phone number blocked I used a freinds cell phone same thing happened I also tried a pay phone same thing.

This is causing me a lot of distraction at work

Jullian called today looking for my husband.  Said "as soon as you get this please call me...I need to get the paperwork started.  I can't tell you what this is about on a voicemail I just need to talk to you now".  866-845-7974

"Kayla" has called numerous times and said they needed to talk to a John or Bob (My last name) about their account. I have no know relatives named John or Bob, Robert, etc. Last time they called they asked for me, then John or Bob. I do not answer these calls, and only record the "Messages" Will not respond to them. They give 866-367-0328, caller ID is 336-306-5901

ive been online researching to see that this guy named Chris Adams is calling peoples homes, asking for minors and previous Discover card holders.  My personal experience was having a message left for me at a family members home asking me to return the call.  When I did the gentelman answered hello, I said I was returning a call from someone (who hadnt left a name or extension) and they said hold on. moments later they hung up and that should have been my first clue.  Then i called back, he answered Chris Adams, and I asked who or where he was calling me from and told he hung up on me.  he was very nasty and told me that I hung up on him.lol.  Asked me for a file number and when I said a file number for what he said hold on and hung up again!!...second clue.  Then lastly, still curious I called back this time it was hello again and I said "look you called my family home, who are you and what do you want, he asked for my last name and asked me to verify my ss#, when I asked for what and who he told me very rudily that "listening was a unique skill"! and I told him that I wasnt going to give him that information if he couldnt tell me who he was and what he was calling for.  He then told me that I didnt sound my age and to have an adult call him back with an attorney to discuss this matter.lol.Who is this? I dont have a Discover card, and havent experienced any identify fraud to my knowledge, or have I????

I am looking for Chris Adams myself after he represented himself on the phone as an attorney, law enforcement, and other illegal representation when going for a junk debt from my mentally disabled father who's identity was stolen about 10 years ago.

I am looking for these guys as well.  "Texan" What exactly was the response of the FTC that leads you to believe that these guys are legit?

This number is also a collection agency or law firm, or something.  They knew EVERYTHING about my credit report, and my history. When I intially spoke to them they said they are contacting me about a discover card.

I have been dealing with these people and Mr Adams for several days.  I have determined that the number 336-206-5901 is the landline for the office of the 866-607-0832 phone number.  
When I called the land line number Michelle answered the phone and I asked her what company I was calling, she said DR and Assoc. (After googling them online, no luck in finding any real company in Winston Salem, NC with that business listing).
I am happy though that I have tracked them down to Winston Salem, NC and I am working now to find their address.  I can't wait to face them in court.

I filed a complaint with the FTC and their response led me to believe this is a legitimate debt collection company.

The number he wants you to call back has changed.  866-607-0832 is the new number.  He will answer the phone "hello" and then when you call him back again he will say Chris Adams.  Total scam.  I just want to know how he's linking people?  Is the phone number spoofed?  He called all my relatives at the same time, right down to the minute.

Has anyone found anymore info about this number or this chris adams? I too have started getting calls from them telling me they are on behalf of Discover Card.

Same thing here.  Except they were looking for my grandmother.  Very strange.  I'm not sure if I should pass the info on to her or not.  She has heart problems and this would definitely stress her out.

Added note,...my caller ID showed them calling from 336-306-5901.  Can't find anything on this number, either.

They claim to be the law firm of Christopher Adams.  I called.  A guy answered the phone as "Chris Adams".  My dad's an attorney.  My girlfriend works for an attorney.  Attorneys do not answer their office phone like that.  Secretaries say "Law office of _____".  The lawyers ALWAYS say "law office", like anything else is just understood.

The guy asked me to hold just a moment.  Came back, asked me to again.  Then my call got forwarded to someone else who asked for my case number.  I said I didn't have one, and I was holding for Chris Adams.  I was told he was in a deposition.  Another red flag.  No lawyer that's in the middle of deposing a witness is going to be answering phone calls.  Especially since there's an office with dozens of people...I know this.  After I was forwarded, I could hear a room filled with people on the phone.  Sounds like a telemarketing boiler room operation.  I figured it was a collections attorney, but now I'm not sure.

I can't find anything anywhere that says there's any such attorney, Chris Adams, or the law office of.  Strange...attorneys don't generally hide from the world.  

Whoever it is, they are shady.  Don't give them any personal information.

Yeah. His secretary Lynsey has been calling me everyday and leaving messages about how they need to speak with Jazmyn and if I'm in touch with her she needs to call me. Here is how the conversation went:

Chris: Can I help you?
Me: Hello
Chris: Yes, can I help you.?
Me: Yes, I've been receiving calls from this phone number about my niece.
Chris: What is your case number:
Me: blah! blah!
Chris: We need to speak with Jazmyn or her attorney.
Me: But my niece is 6 years old.
Chris: Oh!!!! Hold on...
Me: Still holding....


Finally I hung up and now I can't in touch with anybody. This is crazy!!!!!!!

CALLED MY IN-LAWS WHOM HAVE AN UNLISTED NUMBER.  LEFT MESSAGE FOR A IMPORTANT LEGAL MATTER. CALL CHRIS ADAMS DOES NOT WANT TO GIVE DETAIL WHOM HE CALLING FOR OR DETAIL ON THE CALL.

claims to call himself Chris Adams, and that he is a lawyer, he has even tracked down my daughter via her inlaws trying to get hold of me and my ex. But when she calls them to find out what it is in regards to ...he hangs up.
