I just got the same fax and proceeded to give them my information and credit card number but as I get closer to confirming it, it got really strange. The guy goes by the name of "James" and he said I am going to transfer you the verification center. He said please dont ask them any questions just confirm that all the information is correct and if you have any information please call me back at x308. Then he said GOD BLESS YOU. Never spoke to a corporate company that repeats GOD BLESS YOU 3 times. So I knew something wasnt right. I spoke to the lady at the "verification center" and ask her immediately to cancel it all so I kept saying No Charges because I never agreed to making the payment. Then with out saying anything she transfered me back to "James". He then ask me why do I want to cancel it and I said because I ask you which airline are you working for and you said United Airlines but obviously the fax showed Virgin America. And second you werent even sure what's the price on this deal, you had to ask me. It is obvious that the "verification center" is where they record the agreement and use it against you if you ask for a refund. Do not fall for this guy name James or the verification center. After the call I went to the bank and ask them to cancel my credit card right now and stop all transaction and let them know the situation and how much James were going to charge me. They said they will contact me if a unusual charge comes up. But the spam company still have mu number and address. Hopefully they dont send millions of mails and phone calls. Going to the BBB to report them too. DO NOT LET THEM CONVINCE YOU TO AGREE. Can't believe someone who believes in GOD would work for a spam company and try to spam people

The problen is not that we are getting them since we all know that we are getting them. The problem is, Whom are they (Company, Owners etc...), Where are they and how do we find them to end the problem. The individuals are obviously in the U.S.

The sales format is always the same. Removal request doe's not work and obviously reporting doe's not work.

So.... How doe's an avearage joe find out the big questions: Who & Where are they?

Rosa and Bedbug,

Who did you pay? In other words, what name and address were on your card statement after they took your money.  If you provide the information, we might be able to sue these crooks in a class action. Post it to this forum so everyone can see it and go after these folks.

So you bought  a trip from a fax machine offer you received at the office? saying to H.R. dept and all employes, for 175.00 per person. Good for one year of travel, and  your trip went well? Im so afraid to call and pay for the airline and pay more money. ( I have already paid 400.00 on my credit card)

Called the first time to ask about this $175 pp vacation package...a man answered the phone, told me it was for the first 100 callers and rudely hung up before I had a chance to ask questions. I called back a second time and explained to man #2 that the first person hung up on me. I told him I had questions, he asked how many people I had traveling. When I told him two, he said the reason he was asking was because he had ONE two-person package left at $175 pp (hmmm....convenient?!). He asked if I wanted to book now....I told him to please slow down because I needed more info. I asked about blackout dates (none), airfare included (yes), names of hotels we can use this prepaid package (couldn't give a name, just assured they were all 4-star/5-star hotels). He asked again if I wanted to book now. I proceeded to tell him no because I needed to talk to my husband first...he yelled "well why did you call then, bi***!" Yeah, it's a scam.

Junk fax for a vacation package from the "H.R. Dept" at United.

877-634-9804 was the number to call for "bookings and reservations" while 888-393-1379 was the number to use to remove the fax.

Both are bogus.

I just purchased the Cancun package and returned from my trip at the end of June.  The trip was  incredible, except for the painful sunburn on my shoulders and neck.  Responding to the faxed trip memo made everything easy.  I hope that all of me and my family's life needs can be answered by faxed memos and will definately keep the fax machine stocked with paper to prepare me for my next journey.

A Life Changer.

Wanna get even?  I've been doing this for the past few hours and it's driving them NUTS!

If you have a computer with a phoneline plugged into the fax modem, you can tie up their call center with a few easy clicks.

First.. from your Start menu, open Windows Fax and Scan.
Go to "Tools" > "Fax Settings" and choose the "advanced" tab
Now set your Number of Attempts to the highest... 99
Set your dial again after 1 (min).. hit "apply"  hit "OK"

Open word and type a simple message.  Mine was " A__hole :)"
Now "print" and choose "Fax".  Windows FAX program will open
Add the following to your address book Name: "Spammers"  Fax Number: *67,18776349812 OR *67,18776349804
Note: The *67, will remove your caller ID.
Choose "Spammers" in the TO: address and hit send.

Your computer will now dial them over and over again... it clogs up the call center and makes em crazy.  For fun.. pick up the phone now and then... I hear them huff n puff and even yell.

LOVE IT!

Send as many "faxes" as you like.. the more you send.. the more it tries and dials more often.  It's their 800 number so it costs them too!

Tell your friends to do it too.. the call center has mulitple lines so it hits and hurts more that way.

Paybacks a B_TCH!

I have been receiving vacation offers from this company and have called 1-888-393-1379 at least 5 times to tell them to stop.  This is a fax number that is only for direct deposits Section 8 Seattle Housing Authority.  It is an offer for an airline package.  Today I tried to call the booking and reservation number (877)  634-9804 and let it ring and no one answers.  I know we have other fax lines at Seattle Housing who are also receiving these and now since I know I have reported my number at least 5 times and see these complaints for the same number. They are annoying and wasting our paper.   I would like to report them.  They have logos and reservation codes that looks like it is from United,  (which I assume is their attempt to make this look like it is coming from United Airlines).  It is promoting a package to Cancun, Cabo, Jamaica, Domincan republic Thanks.

Received a fax today and immediately noticed the United Airlines logo, with the recipient To: All Employees, From: H.R. Dept.  I knew this was a scam and hope that others would have the common sense to know that as well.  I will be reporting them to United Airlines for using their logo and fraud.

Felt like messing with them so:
Called the reservation number....first guy: I say "I called to ask about the flyer for $175.00pp"...he asked when I received the flyer because the promotion was ending...i said today (7/10/12) he asked if I would be purchasing...I said I have some questions first, he hung up.

Called back (after numerous rings) 2nd guy answers (sounds like he was asleep) and I say "I have a flyer for $175pp and I have some questions I wanted to ask before another guy hung up on me"...he asks "what's his name", I say I didn't have a chance to get it before he hung up so he says "what are your questions"(like he really wanted to answer - NOT!), I bombard him with..is there a blackout date (ans - no), is there a limit to the number of meals (ans - no), what constitutes a child (under 5), is the reservation open for 1 year (yes - you have a year to use it), as I begin my next question he asks me to hold on.... he returns and I ask how do I know what hotel I will be staying in, (we send that after ou pay), I ask "so you dont have a listing of hotels" (no) and then he asks me  "are you going to purchase because we only have 1 2person and 1 4person voucher left. I say not before I ask some more questions....and I have 9 people traveling....he hangs up....WOW....

Received a fax from (877) 634-9804 with a United Airlines logo advertising vacation deals yesterday.

To anyone who receives this fax, DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE - IT'S A SCAM!! If you did by something, then cancel the transaction on your credit card.

The fax you received is a junk fax which violates the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.  You can sue them in small claims court just for RECEIVING the fax -- it's worth some $$ to you!!

Each violation (i.e., each fax your receive) is worth $500 with treble damages (3 times the $500) = $1,500 PER FAX.  Beat them at their own game - do some research to find out who they are and send them a demand letter for $1,500 and, if they don't pay, take them to small claims.

If you bought something from them, then check your credit card statement or call your credit card company because the information you need to identify the scamsters may be on your credit card statement or in the records your credit card company has on file for the transaction.

It is very simple and people do it all the time.  :)

Normally, the statute of limitations only begins to run at the time you discover who they are, not from the time you receive the fax.

The fax is a scam and the company has used airline logos without authorization to add credibility to their claims.  Currently, the agency associated with this program is being sued by two airlines for trademark infringement as well as AAA (American Automobile Association).  American Airlines just received a $4 million judgment against them in December 2011.  Also, the State of Florida Attorney General's Office is investigating the company.

was verbally abused by this team of uneducated, ignorant young men.  They say no one can stop them, because they are in Mexico.  Verizon says they can do nothing- they say call the police.

I can't believe a carrier as big as Verizon has no control over these scammers.

...but made me feel really good to call them back 100+,
till they actually said, mamm, WOULD U PLEASE STOP CALLING!

I guess my only choice is 2 change my fax  #, or get rid of verizon.
