I got a text message from this number, with the same alert, blocked card info and this phone number to call.  When I called it, they wanted my card number, which I did not give.  I hit 0 to talk to someone, but it looped back into the message.  I called my Visa provider and they confirmed that it was a scam.

I will definitely tell my cell phone company, but if they respond as they do with the rest of our service, nothing efficient will happen.  Guess there's probably no way to block these calls.  Knew it had to be a scam, but how many people will blindly enter their card number!!!

I would be willing to bet that every person that posted this number on this board is a T-Mobile customer from South Carolina.... My wife and I got the same text message. The other boards we checked out to verify this number have posts - every single post is a T-Mobile customer in South Carolina....

t-mobile customer in SC. got call when I was out of town and thought it was strange but called number because sometimes cards can be put on alert when used out of town. it just asked for my credit card #. i wonder what percentage of people actually enter it without thinking.

Sender was 3615.  Bunch of crappy people in this world....I did NOT give them any useful info or numbers, of course.  Called T-mobile (my carrier) but lost them in the middle of the call.  Said that it was sent to me as e-mail, converted to SMS/text.

I did not call the number, I am a T-mobile customer as well. I contacted T-Mobile and they said a phishing scam alert had been raised, they are looking into who that # belongs to and are going to prosecute. Please call T-mobile if you are a customer and this message was sent to you. If you are with any other company please call them and inform them of the scam. This will help prosecute and penalize these scammers to the fullest.

Mine was Sender 3615.  I'd like to know how to contact them.  AND who pays for 1-877-635-3764.  Obviously, I would turn them over to the FBI and/or the police here in Charleston, SC

Check out the other posts. Seems like this scam is local to South Carolina T-Mobile customers. It is very possible for someone to design a small computer program to generate phone numbers based on area code and prefix, but I would think that someone willing to go to such lengths to steal credit card information would generate phone numbers across the national level and to all cell phone providers - not just T-Mobile customers in South Carolina. Seems like customer information was either leaked/stolen by an outside party or abused by an inside party....

I received my message yesterday.  They are using at least 4 return call #'s.  Posts from these #'s have been coming in from Aynor, Myrtle Beach, Conway, Charleston and Hartsville - all are from T-Mobile customers.  I can only hope that they don't have access to other personal information.

My husband and I both got the text. He doesn't even have a texting plan, so now it costs us 20c for him!  We have T-Mobile as well.

And to the poster asking about Charleston. I'm originally from there but live in Myrtle Beach, SC now.  Anyone else from SC getting it? Wonder if it's just a local thing?

My boyfriend and I just got off the phone with T-Mobile customer service (611).  This has apparently been going on for about a week and a half but the phone number to call has been changing.  DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER.  They take your money as a payment, do not give them your information.  Contact customer service and let then know that it has happened to you as well.

Who knows, could be an inside job, I just hope they don't have my social security number and address.
