Scamed out of $650.00 dollars for marketing my new website. Called them the following day, to cancel tranaction, they refuse .. CC was charged before I signed any paper work. Please avoid my very costly mistake.

just received a call from vance at 877-643-7737 x1224 and he called me about my website i just set up for my business...i googled the number and found it to be a marketer running a fraudulant business...wisdom and patience does have its purpose!

Ok, so my roommate thought it would be a good idea to try an SMC site to earn some more cash. So she gets everything all set up and the packages come in the mail and then the phone calls start pouring in about how one company is a fraud and the other one is better blah blah blah. So at that point my roommate decides that the site has wasted more money and more time than she had expected and quit.

So, now she is completely done with the whole SMC business and we are STILL getting calls from these people. The other day my roommate got sick of them calling told them that she no longer has the business and to please stop calling. They have called 5 times now today. Not only do they call from their number, they first call from an unknown number which hangs up on you once you answer.

Today the caller didn't identify himself other than he was the one my roommate told to stop calling. I told him that she no longer has the business and that she wasn't home and to please stop calling. His reply was a very childish sing song voice "Well, I am just gonna keep calling back until you talk to me, So when is a good time to get a hold of her?" To which I reminded him that she told him to stop calling and that this behavior IS harassment and she will pursue charges. "Well I am just going to keep calling" is all he had to say. He said it in a manner of I am going to do as I like and you can't stop me! Nanny Nanny Boo Boo! So I told him "Ok, if you want to be a d***, fine be a d***. Not my issue She'll just follow up on charges" and hung up. He IMMEDIATELY called back and I didn't answer. He called back on the Unknown Number 111-111-1111 at 3:59pm, which was 30 minutes after I had received the first 111-111-1111 call of the afternoon at 3:29pm. Their number then called me at 3:30 pm and then again at 3:32pm after I had hung up on him. Tell me that isn't harassment?

They have called several times. But when I call back it says the person at this extension is unavailable. Then again tonight a female leaves me a message stating she is my new account manager.....I just had some dude tell me last week he was my new account manager ?????

Anyways they say they are in charge of your website and tell you they havent seen any activity lately and want to help you market your store.

When I asked them for my code they gave me a BS reply and changed the subject. When I asked them to just use the credit card they have on file for me they said they the computer was down so I would have to give them the number again....BLAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!

They are not affiliated with the company I work with but they tried to convince me they were.

I just started a membership with SMC & they have been very helpful. It is costing more than I thought, but it is still reasonable by comparison.
These people contacted me about an hour ago, so I let them talk to see what they said.
The company is National Marketers. My guy was "Flander". He was very nice & recommended that I check them with the BBB & that they had 11 complaints in 10, or something, years & they are all resolved. He said they have a B+ rating with the BBB. I tried to find them, but there is no mention of them on the BBB website. If anybody has any luck with that, please let all of us know.
I told him I couldn't afford any marketing right now, but he wanted to start me with a program that was $375. My E-commerce site gets you connected to Google, Yahoo & MSN search engines for $299-$499/year. He wasn't pushy at all & told me to call if I need any help. I am very skeptical, at this point, due to being ripped off before I knew how many opportunities there are for it. Sure hope this helps everyone know more so they can decide.
I just had a coaching session & he said that these places tend to come up out of nowhere as soon as your domain name is activated.
Sure glad I saw this. I just Googled the phone number & found this blog. I sure hope they are wrong about SMC. They have had a good reputation for many years, as far as I knew.

I recieved a call from Adriana Ext.1232. She couldn't even get the name of my website correct. Luckily my calls all go to a messaging system. I returned the call after reading all the complaints I could stand. This company has been placed on the fraud list available to members of various wholesale suppliers.

They run an internet SPAM campaign. When a person views a website containing similir items as yours, they open a window on the persons computer displaying your website. If the person is as upset about popups, pop-unders and other internet SPAM methods, they report your website as spam to isp providers and to FTC or other government agencies. How does that help our businesses?

National Marketers don't belive in using search engines. As it was put by one of their own, "It's like buying a bucket of air."

I have received two calls from this company and my website just went up today.  The first call was before I was warned not to listen and the guy was very nice, but VERY persistant.  This time I spoke to Ashley and when I told her that A. I didn't have $1,000 to give them and I was pretty sure I had already told her company that, she started to get persistant, then when I told her that I knew she wasn't affiliated with SMC she started YELLING at me!  I told her to have a good day and hung up on her.  I will only hang up on the people who call from this company in the future.  She definitely used tactics there were not going to get a sale from them, and Pauls behavior on this site only confirms that this is how they treat people when you don't buy anything from them.

This person has been harassing us non-stop. They are trying to get us to pay them for absolute non-sense. They also call on unknown, private and restricted. Please do not fall for it!!

Joshua, you can report her to the BBB and the FTC for harrassment...Which is against the law I should know. I work for the BBB...I also have a legal background...If you do not want to do business with these people they do not have the right to call you...They called me also except they made one fatal error I am on the National Do not Call list. Also I never did business with them so they broke the law....

I have recieved several calls from there people.  I have told them not to call me anymore, and they want to srgue with me.  They tell me others are scams, and i should not do business with them.  I told them if I need help I will contact emerchant-ecommerce myself, and not to call me again, and then I hung up, don't you know they had the nerve to keep calling me back.  Thank god for caller id.  I will be reporting these a***ole, they can't take no and then want to yell at you for refusing to talk to them.

I agree with Kim.   Maybe some people were not prepare to work with SMC or need more time to get it together.  No reason for trashing the company.  Sometimes people want quick results with no work and it does not work that way.  AS for you PAUL AMES, learn to accept negative criticism like everyone else, is good for the soul.  For your actitute in your writting, I will not do business with you if you were the last marketing business in town. Got a call from this IDIOT from 877-643-7737, told him I did not want to spek to him about my website and he told me in no uncertain words that he will continue to call me for the rest of my life. This IDIOT then called me seven times and I did not answer. National Marketers are a bunch of crooks and should be looked away. Get the messages a***s at National Marketers and tell Mr. Vance the con man to go learn some english before he calls anyone.
I was told to log all the calls I get from them, and get my printout from my phone company and then bring it to my lawyer. I have also started to tape all my conversations with National Marketers. I am really serious of getting this info to my lawyer.

This number and person Vance also called me several times today. I did not answer, The message he left only stated his name and his telephone number...not where he was calling from. He did state he was trying to reach my business name. Judging by what yall wrote here, I am glad I did not answer his call. As of this point I have a handle on my marketing and advertising and do not need a fraud man trying to scam me for more money. Thanks for the heads up yall!

And I will not be talking to her. You seem to be saying alot of bad stuff about SMC, but why is it when l am left a phone number to return a call to your company, the machine only says thanks for calling our switchboard. I kindly told her that I was driving down the highway could you call me back in 45 min. I did not answer the phone and decided to do some researsh on this number. Sure glad that I did.
