Yes I recently had a phone call.  For  quality air service for 49.95 thought it sounded like a good deal.  When I call them back at the number  877 -659-5923 just went into music no one ever answered not for me to even leave a message.  had a bad feeling. if they show up going to tell them to get lost.  Then I went on the computer to check out if anyone else got these calls.  Thanks to some of you that left messages like I'm going to let people know it is a big scam.

Came to my Dad's home in the AM., he is 87, told him they had been there before. Quoted the $49, said it needed more work done, and showed him the air quality in his home was bad, had a color coded chart, charged him over $400.00. Showed him pictures of his insulation and said that rats had caused damage to the insulation ( he has had rat issues), but they said the reason that the air quality in the house was "so bad", was due to the rats, and that they needed to do more testing and repairs at close to $5000.00 more. I  just happened to call him to check in and found out they were coming back early afternoon to do the rest of the work, thankfully, and only through the Phone #s was I able to find out about them. Yelp has some bad reviews as well. It took some convincing on  my part to not go through with the rest of the work. He called them back, and was told that the service vehicle on it's way would be notified. I had hime lock his doors and put a note up on the front door, it was removed when he checked the next morning. This is so sad that people target people like my Dad, this is far from the first time something like this has happened to him, i.e.. being conned, but because of sites like this I was at least able to intervene on $5000.00 being spent for  truly no good reason. As I said to my Dad if we need to call someone about rat problems we should call a reliable pest control. Oh and by the way my mom just passed on from severe dementia, and has cost my Dad more than I can say, the last thing he needs is to throw away money, but these folks really lay it on thick, he was concerned about sleeping in his bedroom because of poor air quality. They scare people into getting the"work" done. So concerning. I hope they are stopped. The other # on the bill 888-499-2907

I got this phone call from "Indoor Air Quality" telling me that it was time to clean my ducts again.  True, the ducts should be cleaned, but who is this company? I told them "maybe some other time, give me your phone number", which they did.  I went to my computer and researched Indoor Air Quality, which apparently a branch of the EPA, not a company who wants to clean your furnace.  I did not call them back, they called me back, told me that they woud charge me only $39.95 with a AAA or AARP card to:
Clean my air ducts, clean my dryer vent and check the furnace's operation!  Sounded too good, but I told them OK.  I had the vent system cleaned before, and also knew what type of vehicle and truck mounted system they they used for that

They showed up in a dinged up white van without any company name, two young middle Eastern guys. One of them was Jonathan, I don't remember the other one's name, supposedly both from Israel. I asked them if they worked for the government for the EPA, and they both gave me the blank "Huh" stare.  They gave me a business card and then proceeded to drag in the large vent cleaning machine, and placed it over one vent in the kitchen, plugged it in and let it run.  "Don't you have to cover all the other vents?" I asked. "Oh no, this machine is very powerful."  John then proceded to the garage to "inspect the furnace".  He just stood there looking around everywhere, especially up toward where the furnace pipe reached the rafters. "What's up?" I asked.  "Do you know what that is?"  "Yes, I do.  It's Asbestos, so?"  "That is really bad for you. We can take care of that for you"  "Yeah, but only if it is broken and disturbed, right?"  "Uh, but look, it's all broken here." John said, pointing toward the bottom of the water heater pedestal, covered in sheet rock where a corner had crumbled.

I had enough.  " Are you going to inspect the furnace?"  "I did, It's fine."  "Here are some filters, put two in the furnace."  I said, went into the house, unplugged the stupid machine, wrote the check for 39.95, and went back to see John who by this time was at his van talking on the phone while the other very nice trainee was standing there looking totally confused.  "Here is the check for you guys, give it to John."  "No, I am not allowed to take it, I am just the helper."  That did it.  I took the check, gave it to John who was still yacking on the phone, and told him, good bye, thanks for your "service!"

I then went back into the house, got online with my bank and put a stop payment on the check.  A couple of weeks later a woman called me for the "company" and told me that my check had bounced.  "No, it did not", I told her, "I put a stop payment on it."  "What?"  I then explained to her what that meant and why I had done it.  I have not heard from them since.

I hope people who read this somewhat entertaining story can pass the message on to other people.  I hope we can put these people out of business and prevent nice kids like the trainee from been suckered into this scam.

DO NOT let these people come to your house. Bait and switch SCAM! No name on van. Upcharges big time. They called us out of the blue. Said they were here before but not true. Spelled our name wrong and got address wrong on the quote that was e-mailed to us. I did not agree to anything.  They did not do anything or charge me but tried to scare me into having major, expensive work done. Just say NO!

This company is a major scam and I wish I would have seen this site to protect me from them!  I was lured in by their $50 special to clean the ducts.  Their telemarketer mentioned that they had come out to clean my ducts previously (which they hadn't), so it's a lie right from the start.  As someone said above, they simply hook up a portable machine to a single duct and let it run for 10 minutes.  I went to another vent in the house and held a piece of paper to other vents in the house and there wasn't enough suction to make the paper stick to the vent.  With that little suction, how can the ducts get clean?  Then they said that I needed insulation on my air intake ducting and needed to replace the existing insulation on the furnace.  He said this was a cheap deal even though it cost $1200.  The technician put insulation around the furnace in visible places, but did not put insulation around the back side where he thought I wouldn't see.  Similarly, for the insulation on the ducting under the house, he thought I wouldn't inspect because the front side (visible from the crawlspace entrance) was mostly covered, but the backside had huge areas not covered.  Upon closer inspection, the insulation wasn't even put on properly and was falling off the ducting!  When I showed it to him, he said that it was done right and that if you cover up all the pipe, it would get too hot and the weld joints would melt and the ducts would fall apart.  And yes, he's talking about the cold air intake ducting that never gets hot!  I've tried to have them send a different technician to come out and make it right, but they either cancel the appointments without telling me or send out technicians that don't speak English other than "It's Ok".  I tried to find them in the BBB, but couldn't.  I'd love to make comments there as well!

This is horrible!  I can't believe how many people have been scammed by this "company".  When my father-in-law refused to pay more than the advertised $49.00 the service man became aggressively angry and stormed out.  My father-in-law heard the furnace door open and slam shut, then went to his office to watch the man go to his car.  He witnessed the man keying the entire side of his car and throwing his body against the car to create a large dent.  Damage to car. $1,500.  A police report was filed but no arrest was made.  And my father-in-law needs to call out a repairman because there is now something wrong with his furnace.  This is a very scary situation and my in-laws are still fearful that this man may return to do further damage.

Scam. Came to my house.  No name on the truck.  Hooked up a hose and scrapped around the dryer vent.  Tried to upsale a filter and duct repair.  They are in the San Jose area.

What they do is to pick a company name similiar to a legit company and then scam a cheap air-duct cleaning.

I am just glad that they probably were not scoping out my house to later rob it. (I hope not.)

No license - no expertize - just crap.  I really hope they get busted.

This company called and came to clean ducts, advised me that the ducts were fine but there was something wrong with the insulation in the attic. Like an idiot I had them replace the insulation in both my houses, the cost was quite high but I paid them. Then they wanted to sell me an A/C for $13.000, I balked at that idea, Then they insisted that there was mold on my roof and charged $4,000 for mold removal. They scammed  me  royally! Tried putting a stop payment on check but was not quick enough!  Those new phones are fast at depositing checks!

Told me they would clean my ducts and furnace for $49.95.  Salesperson appeared to be very personable and knowledgeable.  Gave me an estimate to replace ducts for around $2,000.  Looked on this site to see
if any complaints.  Couldn't find on the BBB website under name used.  Thank you for letting me know not to proceed!

They are setup to come in and do the cleaning in my house in San Jose, CA. I tried calling the number to postpone the appointment but no one answers. They said the company name is California Cooling and Heating Company, but that company has a different toll free number. This number, if googled, shows the website http://www.california-air-duct-cleaning.com/  with no company name. Not planning to let them come into the house.

They said to me that they will take us to collection and small claims court, told them go for it, and stick it.

Oh yeah this Charles Ezerzer is a real con. He scammed me big time and I think someone needs to put him in jail. He has scammed from Chicago, Colorado, California. I wish someone had the power to stop this guy. Not only is all his info false, he scammed me and fooled me into faxing him my copy of my receipt, stating he was my credit card co, and then whited out my writings on it and sent in into his credit card co. He banks with Chase - you would think they would bust him for fraud. Between losing money he did a lot of damage to my home.  Lesson learned -Trust no one.

Well, I did give out personal information, unfortunately.  This so-called company, calling itself obairductcleaning.com, operates under different telephone numbers.  The one we were given was (888)740-0431.  We called it, and no one answers.  The modus operandi was the same; they call on your phone advertising duct cleaning services for a cheap price, then the fast-talking salesman ups the ante very rapidly.  (They call this low-balling.)  This turned out to be a very expensive lesson for us, as we are senior citizens on fixed incomes.

This is an air duct cleaning service. This is a Scam. The web site is obairductcleaning.com , recently created in 2013. No company info.

Unsolicated call to home phone, made a mistake to show interest. $59 special..

Currently advertising a special for Air duct cleaning. When they get to your home all they do is to attach a vaccume machine (portable) to one of your duct for 10 min... that's it. not cleaning of any kind with a brush etc. Everything you think of cleaning is an additional.. ie $20/per duct to clean with a brush and $50 per air intake cleaning.

The invoice provided is a Scam as well.. Tel # listed is 818-300-8735 (no answer and do not accept reverse calls???) . The Web site address on invoice is unreachable... www.indoorair-quality.com.  THe address of the business is listed at 22858 Dolorosa St. Woodlanhills CA 91367 (Googled it and it someones house).
