It is Cox Cable. I answered and said hello 3 times and no one was there. I have been getting these calls for awhile. I decided to call back. Cox answered. They were trying to sell more services.

Keep getting calls from this number 8776615754

In addendum to my previous post; people should know that Cox DOES NOT CALL YOU TO INFORM YOU THEY'RE UPDATING YOUR INFORMATION, as a previous person on here stated. I've been a Cox subscriber for well-over a decade, and Cox has never once called me to inform me they're updating my info. They don't update my info, I do; so that would be misinformation by that person. If your credit card expires, Cox might call you, but the calls don't come from any third party call center trying to sell you more services. Calls from 877-661-5754 are from the promotional department of a call center trying to sell you more Cox services.

I continue to receive calls from this number. It's COX COMMUNICATIONS PROMOTIONAL DEPARTMENT from a call center hired by Cox. They call using an auto-dialer, so this is why nobody hears anything more than static for a while that sounds like breathing or someone there. Then a recording comes on telling you that someone will be with you shortly, making you wait even longer. It's freaking strange how Cox hires a call center and they call you relentlessly after ignoring your plea to stop calling after you reply you don't want their deal and they put you on hold, even when THEY'RE trying to sell YOU something. How 'bout that arrogance, eh?! How rude and irritating they are, they just don't care! I surely hope Cox takes a real kick in the wallet over this one. I hope thousands of customers drop them. They are showing piss-poor communications at just how much they don't care who represents them and how aggressively rude they can be. They totally ignore, NO THANK YOU, NOT INTERESTED, DO NOT CALL BACK. Pretty damned amazing a business can continue to get away with this crap. And anyway, if they truly had such a great deal, they wouldn't need to have some third party call center person trained to strong-arm you and attempt to over-talk and over-sell you. Cox, you really do stink!

I keep getting call from this number. The worst part is no one answer or reply. I don't know the reason for the call. I burning my anytime minutes every time I pick up the call.

877-661-5754 just called me - I answered - nobody there on their call would speak, but I could hear breathing or some type of human sounding background noise. So I called back and heard this recorded greeting: "Thank you for your interest in Cox Communications".
Well, just last week I asked Cox to quit calling me. They hired some call center to phone solicit their customers into buying their all-in-one deals. And I was receiving a call daily, including weekends. Once I'd noticed I'd been missing numerous calls from this number, and when it rang in again another day, I answered, listened, then told them I was not interested and asked them to stop calling.
They did not stop calling so I got online and did an internet chat with Cox from my own Cox account; but Cox still refused to honor that request.
I hate being phone solicited; door-to-door/person-to-person/in front of any stores solicited-- period. It's not going to happen with me. If I am a subscriber to Cox, and I am, they can send an offer in the mail. If I don't respond, I'm not interested. But no, they emailed, snail-mailed AND PHONE SOLICITED, which is just too much and annoying.
I called and spoke to Cimeron, a man who told me he'd take my number and name off their call list. But no, I guess they did not do that. He said it would take 2-3 days, and that's been 7 days ago.
So listen up people, COX COMMUNICATIONS has cheapened themselves by going this route of hiring a call center, when those call centers are ruthless people when it comes to pestering you and being obnoxious, totally ignoring your wishes. And that's what they're trained to do.
Just how many times does a person have to tell the caller, 'No, I'm not interested'? Holy cow, and they just continue to call everyday including weekends and badger you!! What the heck is up with that?

Got a call from this number earlier tonight. They left a voicemail but it was blank (probably unintentional).
| TG 2013-02-05 02:35:46 Unknown |
I didn't answer it. I have been getting some fake best buy 5000 dollar gift card scam texts a few days ago and the same day this number called. Not sure if they're related.

Nobody was there when I answered. Probably another scam and violation of DNC.
