They are calling from 520-834-8728 in Arizona using the caller id name of Durham Gold Por instead of their real name CAB Asset Management LLC.  They violate the FCPA routinely calling multiple times a day and according to others refuse to give documentation on original debts which is, of course, not legal.  They must give you original documentation of any debt to be collected.  Most of what they go for are debts that are clearly past the statute of limitations to collect.  They are bottomfeeder scumbags.

CAB Asset Managment is a real company, a real bad company.  They called my home, day and night looking for someone who does not live here and a person I do not know.  I got so fed up with the calls and their attitude that I filed a complaint with the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General.  A letter to CAB seemed to stop these unprofessional leaches but in the last two weeks I started receiving calls again, for the same person.  I called the number and found this collection company to be professional.  I also learned that they bought the file, with my number from CAB AFTER the Attorney Generals office demanded they stop.  I called CAB and all I can say is their manager is an a**, loud mouth excuse making jerk.  I have already started the process of filing a complaint for selling my number and am awaiting a call from my attorney, seems it is sue time.

I am not late on any bills, in fact only own for my house so they have no reason to call.  I recomend contacting your state attorney general if this or any company like them is harassing you.  They think they are above the law!!!

This place has called my workplace trying to sound official and menacing. They have been told twice before not to contact my workplace and that we are not allowed to get these types of calls, yet they continue to do it. Unfortunately, I do not speak ebonics, so I have a terrible time understanding what they are saying. I have asked them to explain what they are calling for, but they won't. First they say it is not debt collection, then they say it is for a credit card that was never paid. They do not verify in any way that they are speaking to the correct individual, they just start spouting off threats of wage garnishment. Apparently they are unaware, you must first obtain a judgement against someone in order to obtain a wage garnishment. I asked them to send me what they are claiming, but I was told they arent sending anything to me. FDCPA apparently cannot be understood by these morons.

Jody: There are laws that govern debt collection in this country. If these people are not following those laws - and they aren't, by threatening criminal legal action on any civil issue (which includes the majority of debt collection) and pretending to be attorneys when they are not, as well as ignoring debt validation letters - then they are the ones that need to grow up, and learn the laws.

Maybe you should ask them about the FDCPA during your next training session, since you very likely work for them.

said they were working for HSBC to collect a fraudulent credit card debt that I had made. And that they were going to have me sued in court, and that i would pay all attorney fees ,and to avoid I could make payments on debt.I hung up and Ms.Tiffany Campbell called back to ask for our HR OR PAYROLL.She stated that she need edto send papers of a wage garnishment, and legal actions.I told her that she was speaking to me ,and she said that since I hung up,she was proceeding. Then I played her game and she wants my bank acct number and routing number to set up post dated checks. She is very unrespectful, harassing, and is a collector,a liar to collect a debt at nay cost, these people buy charge off's and try to collect for what ever they can get.

Just got a call today at work someone by the name of Jordan, from CABS Management ... harassing me.  He said that he was a lawyer and that I better make sure I have my lawyer call him to settle this ASAP.  Than one minute later, he called a coworker of mine to harass her and have her call me because it was an urgent matter and there was no time to waste.  Go figure! The extent these bill collectors will go to.  Unbelievable, but living proof that they will go after your own kid if they had the opportunity.  I will of course ignore his stupid and very disrespectful phone calls, but I will not let him harass me at work.

These people are complete frauds! They are calling my cell phone trying to get a hold of my husband about some debt they claim he owes to a hospital he's never been to. I typed into google search the number that actually called me vs. the number they left and found some VERY interesting comments from other people saying similar things. Take a look for yourself, type in 440-394-0042 . There are laws protecting us from their harrassment (IF they are for real) but I don't think they are.

all i can say is that i got a call from CAB and they seemed to be pretty convincing, but i've writen down everything this guy was saying to me. he claimed that my wife owed money on a visa card, and then about 10 min later he said.." wait wait, it was a master card" , and that it was done in 07, well thats impossible, b/c i've been with the same person for almost 10 years now, and i would know if she did or not. and she didnt. i dont know about these people, the last person i read talking about growing up and being responsible, and thats whats wrong with this country, no thats not whats wrong with this country, whats wrong is people like you, who take advantage of people like me and my wife, who work and struggle to make ends meet. and you people come along, and scam us trying to sucker money out of us people who have a real job. you should grow up! your not only helping to make america look bad, your slowing down all progress of mankind.

This is a payday debt scammer that tries to get you to think they are investigating computer fraud usually connected to an online payday loan company. But the debt is never repaid even when it IS repaid and that is the catch.  They keep trying to charge fee along with every payment so it is never paid off even when you pay it off in full.  Sometimes they disappear for a year or two then resurface hard and heavy like they were never gone. Online payday loan company's are illegal in several states and most are from outside of the country or are ran off of Indian reservations here in the States, still not seen as legal in those states that forbid the practice and cannot be collected against.  This company calling, CAB threatens those they call, to return the call or have their attorney return their call or they wish them "luck", it is almost a threatening tone by the second phone call.  I have working with my state attorney general's office on these.  It is the best thing you can do.  Give him or her the phone numbers that have been calling you and any, any voice mails that you recorded that you can play for them.  They will contact them.  The AR State General actually contacted London, France, India, Singapore and the Bahamas and I know I am forgetting some of the places.  Report, Report, Report.  But do not call them back.
