As stated on their website, http://www.hspcare.com/, "This plan is NOT insurance. This discount card program contains a 30 day cancellation period". Nope, this is not what I'm looking for.

There's nothing to be canceled. You've been scammed. ID theft is a distinct possibility so google "host:ftc.gov id theft" and read the FTC links that show up. What the scammer can do is open up new credit accounts, spend money until the accounts are flagged and closed, and you'll be left with trying to explain to the creditors you didn't do it and why you shouldn't pay them and which can lead to being harassed by debt collectors or sued in civil court. Even if this particular scammer won't open new accounts, he can still sell your info on the scammer marketplace. The FTC will suggest placing a credit alert with the credit bureaus. Consider filing a police report immediately and keeping this report forever (don't lose it) as proof that you've reported loss of SSN and DOB to the police. Take your time doing a detailed report as this report will follow you forever in case something bad should happen in the future. The report may help you prove you are innocent though scammed creditors may claim you filed a false police report, then went on a spending spree. Anything can happen. There's nothing clean with ID theft.

Just got off the phone with them! Major red flags, he got very upset when I asked for a brochure. Why would that upset him, doesn't sound like a non profit to me. He hung up when I insisted on plan in print!  Any positive posting are probably posted by the very same employees that are doing the hard sell. I'd rather negotiate for a car at least you know your being screwed.

Craig, if your on the up and up you don't have to push a hard sell and you would send out information like every other insurance company. I bet your real name is Louis and I just hung up on you....

Mikki, I have been in contact with someone from Health Benefits ph#877-670-8731 who said they could offer me a Health Care Plan $99 enrollment fee $199.95/mo for me and my wife with no pre-existing condition exclusion, available on a first come first serve basis. They would not provide me with any written information about the plan.  Could you please provide me with the number of the broker who got you Assurant for $123.00 per month.  I am on a limited income without any health insurance.  You can email me the information at rford5@verizon.net or call me at 917-226-2088.

Talk about a scam.  High  pressure and he Keith hung up on us. He had to have my crt card number and birth date, and social security number before he would give info on the company.   Kay  who was very sweet at first told me they use Edna, she passed me to Keith when I said I need more info. No answer on their number either.  He refused to give me his number until I gave him all the info.   I have caller ID.  No thanks.  I need ins. Not a sweet talking scam.

I guess somewhere along the line I filled out a questionaire about medical benefits and I have been receiving a call everyday from 954-376-3127 after ignoring the calls i finally picked up.  I spoke with whom i believe was a woman named Kay. She spoke to me about some of the benefits then transfered me to a man i believe his name was DOX..... who was pushy and argumentative when I told him that I think I should continue with blue cross. He seemed a little angry and over talked me I told him " I am done with this call and please do not call me again because the program sounded like a scam. So this morning rolls around and "Kay" ( I believe her name was calls me and leaves me a voicemail. She stated "you will not find a $40 insurance like you had with your last job please call me so I can get feedback. I will be calling her to ask her not to continue calling me any further. However, I have a feeeling this isn't the end of the calls. It's getting annoying now.  :(

SCAM!  The person gathering info and offering quotes is not a 'broker' meaning they are not licensed!  They do not offer written quotes, they don't have different plans, there is no deductible...  This is a one time offer?  Not with insurance, it does not work like that.  Adding on life insruance, dental, disability, and health insruance...what a joke!

I'm looking for health insurance right now. I am soooo fed up as to how many phone calls I get. This is insane! Today I got a call from Melinda (877-670-8731). She offered health insurance for $ 180.90 a month with all imaginable benefits. She pressed me to sign the plan right there on the phone. Won't happen, lady! She also mentioned this is a health plan with a non-profit company "good health plan" an independent association. I wonder how many people have fallen for this to good to be true scam.

It's a filthy SCAM. No honest company engages in this kind of trashy "marketing", this is a carefully designed SCAM to steal money from the most vulnerable people. And the problem is, the victims won't figure it out until they need to make a "claim".

Get a real job and stop stealing and scamming!

This is a company called Health Benefits.  They are purely a discount plan NOT an insurance company.  They use the networks such as Aetna, Beach street etc to get the reduced prices but you are the one that pays 100% of those prices.  Example if hospital charges 8000 for the surgery and they are in the beach street network and the agreed amount is 5000.  Then you pay the $5000.  There is no max out of pocket or stop loss as again this is just a discount card.

I also got a call from Shelly Beletski and was quoted health insurance for $204.90 for a family of five. It was high pressure fast talking "do it now or the price may change or the open slots filled up". I'm sure the scam works on some people since so many of us need more affordable health insurance.

I WAS SEARCHING FOR A LOW COST MED INS. ONLINE, LAST NIGHT. A GUY NAMED TONY, CALLED ABOUT AN HOUR AGO. HE OFFERED ME VISION, DENTAL AND MED INS FOR $ 180 A MONTH, AFTER ASKING ME A FEW QUESTIONS ABOUT MY HEALTH.

WHEN HE ASKED ME TO PAY THAT AMOUNT, PLUS AN ENROLLMENT WHICH WOULD BE A TOTAL OF $279.97 AS INITIAL PAYMENT, I ASKED HIM TO SEND ME INFO. IN WRITING. HE SAID IT WAS A GUARANTEED OFFER. I TOLD HIM NOT TO TAKE IT PERSONAL, BUT SINCE HE CALLED ME I DIDN'T FEEL LIKE PAYING FOR SOMETHING WITHOUT A WRITTEN NOTE. HE GAVE ME THE 877- 670-8731 AND YOU CALL, THEY ANSWER "HEALTH BENEFIT" AND GIVE U MANY CHOICES. HOWEVER, THE GUY CALLED MY FROM (954) 582-5359 AND WHEN I CALLED, IT SAYS THAT IT IS DISCONNECTED. DO NOT GIVE UR CREDIT CARD TO ANY ONE IF U DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE OR IF THEY ARE THE ONE WHO CALL YOU.

You people are ridiculous.  Not a scam.  Its a healthcare plan with insured components...not major medical health insurance.  The agent will tell you that on the phone.  Notice that not one person here actually bought the plan and tried to use it.
