Apstar Financial, they happen to call my number and when the peson answered said I wasn't there, they hung up on them.  nice, huh?

When I called teh number back, it was a recording saying, it's a business-to-business call and they get 100% of their numbers from Dunn and Bradstreet.  They realize not everyone wants to be contacted or the info may be incorrect, please enter your 10-digit number to be removed.

You do not have an option to talk to anyone live.

1) Report them to do not call website....

2) Don't call the 877/800 toll free numbers back when they don't leave a message, if you call these toll free numbers back they can see the number you are calling from and the name it is registered (great way to comfirm
it is good number to 'sell.' Even if you have a private number...does not
block your I.D. being seen.  If you are really curious, use a calling card...

calls every morning just after 8 PM, and once after 9 PM.  I don't know who they are, but they need to stop.

This number, 877-672-1050 keeps calling my house asking for someone named Sandy Jones who I have no idea of. I want them to stop harrassing my family. No Sandy Jones resides at my house!!!!!

Just got a call from this number at our business office.  After I announced the company, the caller just hung up.

That is the number caller ID gives me time and again.  The message explains that by taking some steps I am able to block future calls, however, it seems I get even more calls and I repeat the 'block number' procedure.  And, the calls continue only now they make farting nlises into the phone and hang up.  Time after time.  I am getting sick and tired of this.  I recommend a complaint to the FCC as I am doing now.  Report 1-877-672-1050

They called my office; lady identified herself as Liz; she was rude and hung up on me. I did a look up & the number belongs to: Appstar Financial.

When you call the toll free number that shows up on your caller ID: 877.672.1050; it's a pre-recorded message and tells you how simple it is to remove your number; enter the number & press #.

I then looked up Appstar Financial online & they are a company in CA...I sent an email (that was listed) to them requesting they not contact our office.

My next step is to file a complaint with the BBB and the FCC!

This number called me and when I answered the guy coughed and said "I tried to blow my stink over there on you"  then when I said hello he hung up.  haha I think he was talking to someone next to him.

Got a call from this number today, on my cell phone (I'm self-employed; my cell is my Business number).  A man said, "This is Chris from Apstar.  You guys take credit cards, right?"  I was taken by surprise and don't take credit cards.  I said, "You must have the wrong number."  He hung up immediately.  I took other posters' advice and added the # to my cellphone address book, hit "edit," scrolled down to "select ring" and selected "none."  At least that way if they keep calling I won't be bothered by it.

Got Call on 11/24/09 on my cell.  I answered, only to hear some creep breathing loudly into the phone.  I said hello twice, and got no response.

called again today, requested to be put on their do not call list again.

Apstar Financial calls to harass us daily, have asked numerous times to be taken off of their call list to no avail.

Same as above, they got my cell number, in spite of it being on the "DO NOT CALL LIST" and they continue to call me.  I have to block them with my carrier.

Rude.  They don't mind taking up your time, but when they realize you are not a "sell" then they just hang up without saying goodbye.  Called the number back.  They have a long, drawn-out recording telling you how to remove your name from call list.  After you put in your number they respond with "your number has been ADDED".  I do hope they call me back so I can show them the same courtesy.

877-672-1050 I got a call from this number on August 13, 2010 asking if I was the business owner. The caller identified herself only as Miss Avery. She asked if we accept credit cards for the business. When I said NO, she thanked me and hung up. I am guessing that she was looking for bank accounts that would be listed in my business name, not in my name.

Quietly get even. Their calling is a violation of the TCPA as well as the Do Not Call Law. TCPA is a fine of $500 if they didn't mean it, $1500 if they did, for each time they call. Since you can sue them in small claims for less than $100 (filing fee plus service, usually by mail) in your own county, do so. For another few dollars, you can file a "discovery" motion and get all the information on how they got your number, which can morph into another small claims suit against the next higher up, and if they don't comply, the courts will sanction them. After you have a judgment, file to have the CEO show for an interrogatory, when he doesn't, $50 gets you a bench warrant for his arrest.
One of two things will happen, they will settle, or you get a money judgment against them, but regardless, it goes against their credit report and becomes public information, This type of service company will be hard pressed to operate after word gets out that they have a ton of judgments against them.
Afterwards you can always sell your judgment to a Judgment Recovery professional and let them hound the company until they pay.

Telemarketers are mental idiots.  Federal Do Not Call Listing is of no use to any of us.  I have worn my fingers to the nub reporting every telemarketer that has violated (repeatedly) the Federal Law.  Federal Government does nothing to go after these scum.  I no longer answer any out of area, unavailabe, 800 series calls or out of state calls.  They get the answering machine and that is it.  Talking to them is a major waste of your time and ultimately could get you into financial trouble.  They abuse the most state of the art technology to succer you in without you knowing about it until it is to late and you find yourself fighting to keep your dollars they have succered you out of.  Be aware, don't answer the calls.  Your life will be so much better.  If you can't stand the ringing of the call pick up the phone and hang it up as quickly as you picked it up.  Find a way to make it easier on yourself.  Don't let them get your goat.  Make their life miserable.  They are paying for the call not you.  Let them keep wasting their time.  Unfortunately they do succeed enough or they would not be continuing this.  Until the Federal Government gets off their over rated, over paid rear ends and put a total end to telemarketing we have to learn to live with it and deal with it on our own.  I am much calmer and happier now that I don't speak to these jerks and just let the phone ring.  The one that clinched it for me was some form of pond scum trying to talk me into letting him "help me improve my business" told me that the one thing wrong with small business owners is that they do not listen to anyone that is trying to help them succeed in business.  Excuse me!  I have been in business for 18 years and can't take on any more work. Never advertised and rely on word of mouth.  If you are honest and maintain business integrity, you don't need help to succeed.  I am living proof.  So go pound sand telemarketers, you have nothing I need or want.  When I need something, I will do the searching, I don't trust door knockers trying to sell me their wares and telemarketers that are rude, pushy, and most likelly are calling us from outside of this country.  They have an angle for everything.  They can't get me anymore.

I answered the phone and the Man on the other end, said "malsdflkdfjsldfj" basicalley mumbled something. I stated to him "I'm Sorry can you repeat yourself" he then YELLED "MAY I SPEAK TO THE OWNER" Almost blew my ear out. I then told him "Sure, Please Hold" and I am sure all he heard on his end was CLICK!!! VERY Rude, These calls get ridiculous.

I just went through the prompt and removed my number

same problem here.  my solution:
entered their number in my cell and selected "no ring" as the "special" ringtone for their calls.  So now they keep calling but I never hear it, and since they don't leave a msg. all I ever have to see is "missed call".  works for me!

Called today - did not leave a message. Will file a complaint to fed do not call.

this number calls my cell phone at least 3 times a day and does not leave a message. i have no idea who they are and they need to quit calling my cell phone.

ANYBODY KNOW WHAT TO DO FOR "UNKNOWN CALL" THAT KEEPS CALLING ME. I'M ASSUMING THEY HAVE THEIR # BLOCKED SO I CAN'T SEE WHO IS CALLING ME ON MY CELL. IT'S EVERYDAY, SEVERAL TIMES A DAY. EXTREMELY IRRITATING! I HIT "IGNORE" USUALLY OR LET IT JUST RING. ANY INFO. APPRECIATED!

I've been receiving calls from this number as well (877-672-1050).  I just filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry.  It is very simple, only takes a couple of minutes.  We'll see what happens.

Always answer these types of calls - they have to pay for completed call.  Keep them talking as long as possible with fake info so they have to pay more.
