got a voicemail claiming is that a CIBC credit card service. Called CIBC and got and answer that they did not contacted me.

I got a text message from them... no idea.

So what was the call about? I received the same robomessage and it said that it was "regarding information we have recently mailed you" and "it is important that you call cibc credit card services back within 48 hours". I haven't called as I figured it was some sort of sales thing.

I phoned CIBC visa´s regular number ( the one on the card and on their website) who told me this is indeed a CIBC number.  But I wouldn´t suggest you use it or any other number you receive over the phone!  The CIBC guy that spoke to me sounded like he had received a LOT of calls from people who didn´t trust the 877 number!

I got a similar robocall, asking me to call CIBC Visa at 1-877-678-3287.  I was reluctant to give them my credit card number, so they said no problem, just call the number on the back of your Visa card (which, obviously, is trustworthy).  Pick option "0", it's faster than listening.  So if you're worried, just do the same.

They claim to be from CIBC credit card. They say it is urgent, but it's a machine telling me that.

I can find CIBC's credit card phone if I google the number given on their contact page but I can't find 1-877-678-3287.
