Linvington St if the address for your Metro Card charge, there should have been a number on your account and when you call it you get the MTA... silly that they just don't say MTA on the account report

Hey, it's the MTA. You paid for a metrocard, that's where the merchant address is.

Its for your metro card purchase.  It's an authorized dealer.  Takes couple days for the mta to send the cc company the request.

My wife noticed the $7.50 charge on one of our BoA debit cards today. Card is cancelled and we are filing a fraud complaint. It sounds like the phone number and shop are just a front and the $7.50 charge is just a test to see if the card is valid. Anyone know if the police investigations mentioned in the other posts have gone anywhere?

Hello people I had the same problem.  It showed up on my online bofa statement and it had charged me $7.50 at Photo Depot.  I also order somethin from PayPal in late December.  I just deleted my PayPal account just to be safe and I'll call my bank tomorrow for answers.  Could it be the recent credit card theft that is going on around here?

I got the same charge on my Visa -- $7.50, Photo Depot, 888-216-7758, dated 11 Jan 2009.  I was wondering about where the charge came from, so I googled Photo Depot NY, and found this page.  Thanks for the help.

This is a confirmed scam...They are using the small charge in an effort to avoid suspicion while validating the card number. The real Photo Depot is Photo Depot,Inc.  A call to them indicates they have been deluged with angry calls for 3.5 months or so, including calls from police agencies. Calls to the 888-216-7758 get you an answering machine.  Guy indentifies himself and asks you to leave a message. Canceled my credit card and filed a police report. The credit union identified the number as belonging to an antique restoration comppany

I got the same charge from Photo Depot NY on my Mastercard on 12/8/09.  The phone number listed on the charge was 888-216-7758 and I got an answering machine when I called.  I Googled Photo Depot NY phone 888-216-7758 and got this page with all your complaints about the same outfit.  Since many of you say that the number you called was disconnected I figure the scammers have dropped that one and are now using the one I called.  I told my card company about what I found online and had them issue a new card.  It sounds like the scammers may have used a number generator to find card numbers.

I've got PayPal too and that was the card that was on there at the time.  I think we may have found a link.  If you put your new card on there, you should definitely change your password and let PayPal know what happened.  That's what I'm going to do.

This was not a call, but both my boyfriend's and my account had their debit card numbers compromised. TD Bank made us call the number because she said it was for an antiques dealer in upstate NY. We don't shop for antiques usually. I called it, it rang once and then a machine came up with a man's voice saying, "This is the Photo Depot, please leave a message." Two separate accounts, and both had a charge for $7.50. Our banks reversed the charges, but it's still very scary.

I've never used Redbox and mine is a MasterCard, so the only common thread there is Netflix so far.  Hmm...

I posted earlier today.  I have netflix, visa, and have used a RedBox recently.  I also have gamefly.  Only other uses in the last couple days have been at different gas stations in Kansas.  Used paypal in the middle of December.

I had this happen to me today.  I was charged $7.50 as a pre authorization from Photo Depot.  The number was 888-216-7758.  The number reached a voice mail.  I have to go into the bank to cancel my card.  I have also used a RedBox at a Walmart over the weekend.  My boyfriend had his debit card cloned a month ago and he used the same RedBox.
