Just called me, but I didnt answer. I also applied for a loan from Sallie Mae recently, so I'll just assume its them though I dont plan to answer if they call again.

The call claims to be from Sallie Mae; and although I did sign up for a loan, the first question the man asked me was for my COMPLETE ssn.  I do not give out my complete social security number over the phone EVER--especially not for "verification purposes".

Whether it truly was Sallie Mae or not, I don't care.

It is an automated message from Sallie Mae who claims to be named "Amy" but it is obviously just a computer recording (how stupid do they think I am?).  They call every day without fail and even as late as 8:30PM

Message is from Sallie Mae claiming that I contacted them (which I didn't) and they're returning the call.

I just missed a call from them on my cell phone. I did recently apply for a student loan from them. However, they didn't leave a message.

They keep calling me.  I told them I wasn't interested but they keep calling me just the same.  They are calling my house at least 3 times a day. They have called me as much as 11 times a day.  I filed a complaint with the Attorney General.  This borders on harrasment.

It was Sallie Mae-- you may have got the call in regards to someone that put your names as a cosigner on a student loan application.

Its another credit scam. The recorded message tells you to call them about saving tons of cash on your credit cards. If you return the call you get a really bored sounding person who hangs up when you ask any questions about their business.

Sallie Mae is a scam! Obama signed a law against people like them and they continue to go through their process....noticed if they are mailing you with a code to get better interest rates that a red flag, also if their website is a "dot com" it is not valid. Besides I called FAFSA and they have never heard of Sallie Mae...Do Not Use Them!

Same here. I think it has something to do with the "employment" scam NES. They called me a couple times from a different number, but I ignored them and it stopped for a couple of weeks. Then this number started calling me yesterday multiple times. I've ignored all the calls so far, but I think it's either NES with a different number, or they sold it to someone else.
