Rec'd their fax again this morning for 3rd time in a month. Appears legit, until you look at the logo (looks like a laughing coyote) also .com is wrong. Anyway, when you read the fine print therei s an ioriantate amount of wording given to lawyers, collections etc.Nice way to treat a potenial victim.. er I mean customer. They know what is instore as this is an outright SCAM

Here is what I do. I have been faxing them pages and pages of blank sheets. Whenever I get a free moment I fax their toll free number and give them some really useful info. You should try the same. I am sure they will appreciate the toll free fees!

I came home last night and found the Fax with the upsize down design on my unlisted personal fax line.Which is on the do not call list. I was tic off because that and as they were faxing to a company that went out of business 10 yrs ago. It's a another Nigeraling Scam. They use UK address to rip people off. There nothing to do other than report it to the BBB and the Phone company.

Unfortunately my secretary completed the form that was faxed and signed it believing that it was sent to update our new address for the true Yellow Pages. Although I advised them that she did not intend to sign a "contract" immediately upon receipt of their first $1428 invoice, they wrote back indicating that I was now under contract and obligated to pay for one year. They have since sent another invoice adding late payment fees.
Is there anyone who you would recommend I speak to for advice on how to handle this, or should I simply continue to ignore their bills until they go away?
Thanks, Ron

Yes it is a scam and DO NOT PAY!!!! You are not under contract with them since they falsely represented themselves to you. They will turn up the heat for pmt threatening you with legal action but that is the last thing they want. They are billing you illegally. Just laugh and hey if it makes you feel better send them a bill instead. Thats what I did and eventually they give up and move on!!! I kinda miss them as it was fun to harrass them like they tried to do to me. Good luck.

My company received this scam fax today. Thankfully I always ignore stuff like this but I realized right away that the fingers were upside down. It almost looks like an obscene jester the other way around. So curiousity lead me to the internet where I found info on the scam right away.
Read the fine print on the fax people. The entire scam is all there in black and white.

Do you have a contact at phone busters? How did you get out of paying the invoice?
| Secretary 2010-05-31 21:12:58 Fax Machine |
Sent form to fill out. Obvious scam to collect info and bill us later.
If you do sign it you'll regret it as the fine print says if you want to fight the charges [Which I have heard are in the thousands sometimes] you have to do it in their jurisdiction...which is in the UK. That would be super expensive to fight. It is obvious they are counting on that.

I was taken in by this YellowPage scam reported it to Phone Busters the RCMP branch dedicated to this type of scam and am so glad I called. They took me through the steps to get them off my back and hopefully shut them down

The whole thing is a scam. Notice that the walking fingers are up side down.

I received this fax at a church;do not want anything to do with it.

Shoot. I didn't read it carefully and I tried faxing it back in. Given I don't know if it went through cause it was doing something weird, but now I am concerned.
| Radioman 2010-01-13 17:56:25 Unknown |
Yes, I received it this morning. From what I understand, the walking fingers design is only copyrighted in Canada, and they are able to invert it and take the book away, because their head office is in Manchester UK.

Not a call but a fax. This is the fax number to respond to. The ad says YellowPage-BritishColumbia.com on ours. This is a scam out of the UK. I did a search and found that they are a discounted web domain site. Do not fill out and send in this sheet!
