They called me .Its a collections agency .I dont owe any money to anyone and i never answer the phone so why should they waste there time .Its harrasement .

I repeatedly get calls from this number, usually at dinner time.  They never leave messages.  Very annoying.

It is so annoying that this phone number keeps calling and leaving similar messages to what has been stated. How do we make it stop?  I have two kids and they always call during their naps - SO FRUSTRATING!

I received a call 2day at 12:15 noon time asking for Mr. Abdur as a first name & same as our last name but wz a different pronunciation & he gave the spelling to pronounce it for him  . He asked if any grandparent,son , daughter,or son in low  had this name Abdur & I replied negatively. Then He asked about the address that he got from the phone directory & how the guy that he is looking for is not known  for me if the last name is the same?
Haven't u ever meet any wz the same last name as u & never related ?
He said it doesn't make sense to have the same last name at this phone number without knowing
Abdur & disconnect .

Anyone having a panasonic phone can block this number. Under options choose initial setting and then call block. Add numbers just like you can add them to your phonebook.

They keep calling my office number, an automated voice asking for Aziz Hak.  I pressed 1 and waited.  And waited.  Nice music.  Then another automated voice thanked me for having called them (even though they had called me) and asked me to leave them a message. There's a word for nerve like that.  Anyway, I didn't want them to keep bugging me at work, so I left a detailed message explaining that Mr. Hak had not worked for this company for many years, and that we did not have a forwarding address.  We'll see whether they keep calling....

Received two calls, thirty seconds apart, as I do not accept calls from Toll Free numbers, both were answered and disconnected automatically after one ring using PhoneTray Free 1.31 software, caller ID, my computer and modem.

If anyone else would like the "recipe" to do the same, here is what I have mine set to answer and hangup on automatically:

N/A - in this modern age, if they do not have the ability in the telco switch to supply caller ID, I do not want to hear from them, very few places can't provide anything at all for callerid information.

Private Number - if they want to hide their number, I do not wish to hear from them <click!>.

Out of Area - I can call them back if my "research" shows it is worth the call.

Local - We accept them, I can always add individual numbers late to hang up on specific lines.

Long Distance - We accept them too, the first time.  Of course the person they are asking for does not exist at the number and if they call again, they will have been added to the hang up list so they only get through once.

Toll Free - There is no reason to ever receive calls from someone hiding behind Toll Free for a name.  If it is important, we can call them back after checking the number, so we ZAP'EM!

My 9 year old's phone has started receiving calls from 877-706-1898. I have called them 5 times and informed them that the phone they are calling does not belong to a "Matthew Owen". I just now found out the name of the company today. In the past they would not tell me the name of the company.  They assure me they will stop calling and everyday for 2 months now they have called.  What can be done to stop this???

This is a very rude and incompetent company that will repeatably call/pester the wrong person. My daughter was told to tell me to call back for a very urgent personal message. This happened to occur while my wife was recovering in hospital from a near death auto crash. It happens that someone with the same name owes somebody something. These are shameful bottom feeders.

I have the same problem. I am getting a call from this company every day. What do I do?

I fully understand that im behind on payments but since your agency took on the debt, me and you have not signed any contracts to where it says i owe you the money. I WILL gladly pay what i owe when you can show me that i signed a contact with you.

They've tried the same crap with me,BUT.............I can be the biggest prick you would ever want to deal with.lol. I don't think I will hear back forward their number and time of call to your local police department.

And they use illegal tactics to scare and scam people into paying them.Tell them to screw off.

These a***oles are not legit tell them you have forwarded their number to the police and they will stop calling.I called back and they asked what number that she called me from? C'mon if you are trying to scam somebody try to be a little more convincing.Losers!

Well, they just called and asked for my dad; but they got his last name wrong.
I told them he wasn't home and hung up.
Then a minute later, they called back. They told me to take a message; and can i just say how much i hate it when people tell you to take a message and they're telemarketers? Do your own job, man.
I asked them who they were and they wouldn't say.
The woman told me that my dad owed her debt and made me take down her number.
I asked who she was and she said that I had to repeat the number back to her to make sure that I had gotten it down correctly.

I'VE HAD THIS NUMBER CALLING MY PHONE EVER SINCE THE DAY I'VE HAD THIS PHONE, HOWEVER I'VE NOTICED THEY ALSO CALL OUR HOME NUMBER...AND ALWAYS THE SAME TIME EVERY EVERY DAY!

IT'S ANNOYING AND I WOULD LIKE IT TO STOP IMMEDIATELY.

This number keeps calling and leaving messages for me to call back some chick named Jen Fullerton.  Must be a debt collector who will be looking for a new job next week if she thinks I'm paying them anything.  I don't understand why they have to be so stupid, I mean do they actually think they can scare us into doing what they want!?  I ignore them all and eventually they will stop calling. I have nothing to take a****ole, come get it

they keep calling me even i don't pick up their call....  don't know how they got my number and don't know who are they.

some guy named Shawn is constantly calling.  Leaving messages stating that if no one calls back, he will make my decision for me....  he's left at least 3 messages stating this..... make the decision already and stop calling.....  

the way he's stating his remarks his totally against the collection agency act of Ontario... and I've got all the voicemails saved and will be posted to the public to hear as soon as I get a chance.

They call repeatedly and have a detailed recording, but do not state the purpose of the call.

please do some research regarding debtors rights.  not sure if the rules governing debt are vastly different in canada as opposed to the us.  still there is supposedly a statute of limitations on debt:  they can only bother you for so long.  secondly you can send a registered letter stipulating that phone calls must cease.  supposedly their only recourse after that is to initiate a lawsuit...  remember that collection agencies stand to make a tidy sum off whatever they collect from you.  they buy debt for pennies on the dollar.  you can choose to settle (sometimes for 20% of the original debt), you can choose to wait until the statue of limitations runs out, you can choose to file bankruptcy..  but never just give into to the collect agencies without a fight...  the only downside to the lawsuit (if they win) is the inevitable freezing of bank accounts...  something to plan for...  good luck.. i am in the same boat as you..

Call frequently, sometimes up to 8 times a day but no messages left on the machine.

They keep calling my job, leaving messages about an attempt to collect on a debt, but they never say who they're calling on behalf of!
