If they receive enough complaints, they may do something and s*** this down.
This is harassment. What is the point, if they don't ever speak? How are you suppose to know what these people are after, if not just to harass you?

This number keeps repeatedly calling my phone even though its the wrong # and have been told so its always an automated message when I pick up it says if I'm not that person to just hang up and never says the name of the company calling, even when I don't answer they never leave a message or anything and they call repeatedly every day!

Got a call from this number this morning, no message left.

Continual calls from this number to my business issued cell.  I've had this cell with the number a good 6 years, and the only one's with the number is my employer.  This caller has to be using an auto dialer or something - I've never given the number out to anyone.  I never answer their calls, and they never leave a message.

Just got a call again today - (Sunday) they've been calling our cell phone for a few weeks now, but never when we had it with us.  I called back to tell them they're probably calling for the person who had the cell # before us, but the automated response said their offices were closed.  Then why and who is calling from that number on a Sunday?

take your picture id to the police dept. and the phone number and have them call them to verify your not who they are looking for

They are calling me at 10 and 11 at night. Isn't that against the law?  I don't answer.

Plus, these numbers NEVER call my husband's cell phone, just mine. Guess who's always on the web? Me. It has something to do with the internet, the more activity, the more calls you get.

I thought I was a bad person for all these debt collectors calling, but now I remember that I share this phone with my husband, who had this cell phone number for years. They call maybe twice a day, every day. It doesn't bother me, I just ignore it. If you don't intend to give away your money, don't bother talking to them. I have NEVER answered it. If you answer it once, they'll call a million times a day. I've had bad experiences with that. It's officially an active phone number in their directory when you answer it. If not, they'll just call the number once or twice just because it's on their list.

Funny...I called them back to make payment arrangements on a small debt.  Asked them if they will send me a credit deletion letter once paid in full. they said no and I said it was nice talking to you...good bye.

My wife gets calls from these b*****ds 3-4 times per day about the balance due on a car that was repoed a few years ago.  It is annoying, but the way we look at it...we're doing our part to keep someone in a job. If the truth were known, they probably appreciate it...or at least they should, considering the 9.1% unemployment rate in this country.

We have been receiving calls from them for a Todd Craig. We have only lived here for about 7 months and have been getting calls for 5 of those 7. I have explained to the woman who answers when I call that I do not know and have never known Todd Craig and that I have only had this number for a short while.

This was the call-back number given in a message system from a company called Credit Management.  Apparently, they're a debt collection company.  They called my phone number looking for someone who lived with us about 10 years ago.  I expect they'll be calling again, despite the fact that I explained the situation to them.  If so, I will send them a letter formally demanding that they cease-and-desist calling me about SOMEONE ELSE'S DEBT!  Grrr!  Never, ever, ever let an in-law live with you or allow them to use your phone number.  It will come back to haunt you years later.

I received a recorded message from "Mandy" of "Credit Management" (which is a debt collection agency, apparently), looking for someone who used to live at this address and use our phone number about ten years ago.  I held on, letting the thing spiel on until I could talk to someone.  I explained to the woman the situation and she promised to remove my number from the file.  I'm not holding my breath that that will happen.  I know debt collectors have a job to do but I wish they would make an effort to verify that the information they have is up-to-date and accurate before they start pestering an innocent person with their phone calls.

I keep receiving a call from Mandy from Credit Management and no matter how many times I tell her she has the wrong person, they keep calling me.  This week alone they have called me 5 times.
How can I stop this?  I asked to speak to their manager and they hung up on me.  The person they are asking for is deceased.,

I keep getting calls from this number. I don't answer them because I don't recognize the number and I don't answer if I don't know who's calling. I just wish they would stop.

This company won't stop and they keep asking for information to "verify" you account and delete the number from their records. They keep calling my minor daughter.
I reported them to the FTC.

How can I stop a debt collector from contacting me?

If a collector contacts you about a debt, you may want to talk to them at least once to see if you can resolve the matter ? even if you don?t think you owe the debt, can?t repay it immediately, or think that the collector is contacting you by mistake. Every day, twice a day I am getting calls from several different numbers asking if this is "Julia V' please press one, if not press two and they won't call again. They lie.
