Noticed it was a toll free number so we never answered.

A message was left on my phone by a Christine Walker.  This was for a person who lived in my house last year, but went to prision for DUI.  I don't know how they got my number.

Second call in about a month. I do not answer 800 calls on principal.Since retirement, I owe no one and this is a scam or pfishing. Be carefull. Real agencies will send you mail and proof.

This number calls our home atleast 10 times a week!!!! They always ask for a part who doesn't live at a home..I WANT IT TO STOP!!!!!

Over the past month I have received 23 calls from this number and although I have never been able to answer any of them, I find the calls very annoying and have noticed that yes, they do only let it ring twice before hanging up. I have no idea how they got my cell number since I have never given it out for something like that and don't have any bills to pay as I am still an adolescent. If anyone knows how to contact these people and get them to stop calling, I would be very appreciative as I am sure everyone else who gets these calls would be to.

Calls and just leaves a recorded message with my name and if I am listening to this as a recorded message to stop playing the message but they don't leave a call back number in the message and if you try to call the number it just rings and rings not even an answering machine comes on so that you can leave them a message or to even find out who to heck they are and what they want.............seems fishy to me

Received a call from this number and they were extremely rude.   They wanted my husband and wouldn't tell me anything.    Ask for another number to reach him at and I told them they'd have to call back    Doesn't make sense if it's a collection agency, our bills are paid

This is the number of VanRu Credit Collections.   It is true that they do not leave messages.

The guy called me and won't tell me why he is calling.  I have a 770 credit score, so he obviously has the wrong guy.

I received a call from this company at my parent's house - I called the phone# and gave them the phone# they called and they asked if I was so and so, I said yes, they asked to verify the last 4 of my SSN#, they had a different person with my same name. Appears they somehow try finding the person they are looking for by calling everyone with the same name in your general area. The woman on the phone was very kind and said she would remove my parents phone# immediately as I was definitely not the person they were looking for.

I did check my free credit report on www.annualcreditreport.com and there were no concerns.

I guess I am not the only one getting calls from this 877-719-0718, especially from Justin. He thinks I am going to give him my SSN, what is this guy an idiot.

The number keeps calling during the day and night. When I answer the ask for some funny names that I don't understand.

Some a**le called by the name justin told me I owe $280 for con Ed from my old place. So he told me I have five days to pay I told him I new all about the fair trade commssion and I won't pay cuz I have to feed my child I told him I'll make a payment next week he got mad and told me I refused to pay and hung up on me. a***oles kiss my a** Justin kiss it Mwa

I received a message from this number on my office phone, for someone who doesn't work with me.  Tried to call and tell them that, and to remove this number from their call list, got transferred twice, and "lost it" when they were going to transfer me yet again.  All I wanted was to tell them they are calling the wrong number, and I get that run-around.  Finally told the second person I spoke with that I had to go to work, and when they called back, I'd just tell them then, and hang up on them.  The lady's response was, "but ma'am, but ma'am...."  But nothing.  If you call a wrong number, are told you called a wrong number, and continue to run the caller through your entire employee system, that's what you get.

Recieved a voicemail from 1-877-719-0718, phone was on airplane mode, I am at work. I called back and someone name "kiki" or something sounding like that answered. I said I believed they called my phone in error. They said they were trying to reach a guy named "Shane". I told them the number was probably recycled as AT&T,  (my carrier) does so. "Kiki" said that my number was added to the do not call list. Odds are this is a collection agency. Saying this as an educated guess, that this guy Shane probably owes some cash to someone, and wasn't good with his finances and his account was turned off, which would explain how I got this recycled number.

They DO leave a message when they call me.  They ask for my fiance by name (computer, not human calling), including middle initial.  Have not answered, but RE: a previous post about the caller being from the Iowa Dept. of Revenue, my fiance DOES owe them about $100 from a previous tax year when a mistake was found on his taxes in their favor.  SO, it could actually be a legitimate call from them.

If any previous posters read this, or future posters, if you are from Iowa, please let us know, so we can figure this out !

What type of debt collecters are they?

I to have had a similiar problem. The person called from that number and I could not stop wandering who I might owe. I can't think of anyone but I'm wandering if they could collect a debt from me for my daughter who once lived with me. I heard they can but don't understand how this could be true if the person is over 18

keeps calling elderly mother and scaring her, because she tells whomever is calling to cease and desist.

Van Ru- I've never had any problems with them. I owe a comcast bill and I've sent in payments. Each time I talk to them, they're most of the time reasonable and professional.

Get calls from this number several timea a day

Received a call at 8 a.m. Saturday morning, woman was rude when I asked who was calling and just kept asking the same question (may I speak with so-and -so, who is this, may I speak with so-and-so) started to get into a mocking sing-song voice. When I asked to speak with a supervisor she cursed at me and hung up. I called back and a different woman answered, asked again to speak with a supervisor, she said 'please hold' and pushed the mute button. I have worked in call centers and I know the difference between being put on hold and being muted. Hung up after a few minutes. Why can't I make a complaint on the BBB? It only lists about 20 businesses and won't allow me to type it in.
