Sounds like mine to. I actually spoke with a loyer and the informed me that if they won't provide you with an address, or won't mail you an actual bill to avoid them. I was also told that if you tell them to stop calling and only contact you via mail, that is the law and they have to obey that. Any real agent will.  Hope this helps.

I had the same thing happen to me. They supposedly were supposed to come to my job on Friday after leaving a threatening message and serve me with papers but no one ever showed. Again someone called my job today demanding to speak to a manager. I am a manager and not knowing they were speaking with me they demanded my whereabouts stating they had important court documents to give me. He also said he was from my County. I asked for a callback number and it was the 800 number again. I asked if he was sure he was located in my County and he said yes. Couldn't even pronounce it correctly! I will be reporting this to the local police and I have already made a complaint to the FBI and FTC. It is quite annoying!

They have been calling me as well.  Called my elderly mother and in-laws and HR department.  Would not give me a physical address to mail a cease and desist letter, said it was too late to even talk to my attorney and would see me in court since I wouldn't pay them the money they demanded.  Filed a complaint with the FTC.

Debt Collector
Hello. A company called Creitors called my job yesterday telling my boss they were from the legal department and that if they did not get in contact with me they would come to my job and serve me with court papers. She would not give them any information but called me and gave me their number. I tried researching this company last night and nothing came up! I called and left a message. When they called this morning the number showed up Unknown. When I spoke to the representative they said i owed money and i would be served with papers for fraud if I did not settle the debt now. I asked if they had an address or website and she said she did not understand what that had to do with anything. I persisted for the address and she gave me a PO Box address. Again when I tried to research the address nothing came up. She stated that since I did not wish to resolve the information today they would send someone to my job today to serve me with papers and that I would need to hire a criminal lawyer. I have no way of verifying wether this is a legit company.

They are frauds. Scam artists. No one can be brought up on "fraud" charges (or any other criminal charges) for not paying back a loan because loan repayment is a civil matter, not a criminal offense.

Here's the FBI page about this scam: http://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/paydayloanscam_120710

I was called today and Iwas threatened that I was going to be brought up on Fraud charges for my unability to pay back a payday loan. I spoke with two repersenitives whom stated that they can set up a payment plan of only $200.00 a month, but it has to be with a bank or debit card to prevent me from being summoned to court on breach of contract and fraud charges. I do not want to give them any information due to I do not know if they are ligit and legal. How will I know?

I got a call from the same 877-719-7323 from Rick claiming to be Creditor LLC. Threatening to come to your job. Luckily I know the law, and debt fair act. Do not volunteer any information. What they do is buy your unpaid debt for pennies and try to collect using illegal tactics to get you to pay them. I called the original loan people and ask who they have collecting there unpaid debt. Guess what it wasn't Creditor LLC. So be careful you have scam artist out here.

Debt Collector
This number is a collection agency and not long that abides by the law. Person calls from unknown number claiming to be a "Court Papers Processor" then he gives you this 877-71+-7323 and case number to call to clarify the papers and allow settlement so you don't have to be served. The number is a collection agency claiming to an attorney firm and if you don't pay up you will be charged with a number of threatening charges. They will not give you the name of the "Firm" or any other contact info other than a first name and before the call is over they will hang up on you. They contact your house, your work and even your boss freely handing out information.

Debt Collector
Got a call, "Michelle" stated she was a process server trying to track down one of my employees. She had a case number and stated she didn't want him to miss his court date. Intimidation factor, in my opinion. Most likely just another debt collector trying to sound official and scary in order to get the guy to call her back. These clowns will try ANYTHING.
