The savings depends on the time of year. If it is already winter gas prices will be higher. However IGS does re rate. So the price can always be re rated in the summer months when gas prices go lower

IGS is a private company. No stock to be had.

The DNC seems to be about worthless. I get these calls 2x a day and I've been on the DNC forever.

i work for a small law firm in the chicago suburbs (sorry, we don't practice any law relating to this) and some girl called us everyday for the last week trying to reach my boss. thankfully our system is set up so that you have to leave a voicemail for him unless you know his 'secret' number that makes all the phones ring or his actual extension so the harassment really doesnt bother us. i just immediately delete the message as soon as i hear the loud background noise of the boiler room. next time she calls ill put the number she leaves on this site.

also, she keeps it vague and in this business that immediately raises red flags everywhere. she says rather urgently that she needs to, "discuss our energy bill"

evidently IGS energy is doing the same thing as what Tina described, now with respect to ComEd electric, in our neighborhood outside of Chicago

When i got home from work, my wife informed me a salesperson asked to see our ComEd bill.  wtf?  I won't do business with people like this on principle alone.  All rates can be gathered online, Choice can work if your willing to read the fine print on your contracts.  Unless you are using a lot of energy, it's not worth your time (or money) long term however as you will likely slip/forget, unless you are really on top of all of your various contract re-ups.

This guy from IGS showed up at door yesterday, he made it sound like he was from my electric provider, and they were walking the neiborhood letting everyone know that they were trying to keep our rates down, and wanted to make sure that we were using enough electric to do so. He asked to see my electric bill, which i did not have, so he said he could call AEP customer service to get it. He had them on speed dial, when he did, he handed me the phone and told me to just ask for my account service number.. Well when AEP customer service answered the phone, i told them IGS was standing at my door looking for my service number, and she then explained to me that they were trying to get me to change my service over. Which the guy at my door never said anything about... These guys are tricky, if its ligit, and would have saved me money i probably would have changed. Now they just tried to sneak it in, I dont want to have any dealings with a company that would be deceptive to get my business.

Considering when these people call they are asking who pays the MichCon or DTE bill, I'm guessing it's a scam. Nobody within 300 miles of here has either one of these services. Nice try though.

What a joke. We live in a apartment complex with no control of the gas situation. I have explained this to the every single person that calls. pull your head out.

Today is Sept-23, 2011. Just prior to last winter 2010, I had received the mailing(s) from IGS Energy and after I and my wife discussed it, decided to sign up. After a year now, jsut prior to upcoming 2011 winter, I am left with much more higher bills (ranging between $26 and $30 each month). I called today (Sept-23, 2011) at 888-995-0992 and pressed "2" to sign up as a new customer, and was 'finally' able to reach a rep. Upon requesting cancellation, she told me that the reason I see a higher bill is due to some 'transitioning' rates (6.250000) and that she can offer 5.75 if I decide to stay with them. I chose against her advise and cancelled the service and was given a cancellation confirmation number. She advised that I have to do nothing and that ConsumersEnergy will handle everything, Right after the cancellation today, I get a call from IGS Energy with an offer. Scam or Not. Be wary of these company as it is not really saving you anything and just costing you upwards of $25 each month (in the form of IGS Energy (Interstate Gas Supply)  800/280-4474, Supplier Charge 032).

I got some calls from this number also , its the same guy listed above , Phillip Spalletta , Redwood City , Calif. I googled his name and he was arrested for having machine guns and hand grenades and other illegal weapons , I hope the police catch up with him ( again ) .

12/22/08..11:45am..Daughter answered phone..woman stated, "may I please speak to whomever is in charge of your Columbia gas bill." When I stated hello.  The woman asked if I was responsible for the Columbia gas bill.  I replied, "We don't have Columbia gas."  She hung up the phone on me.
(This area is serviced by Dominion Peoples Gas Co....a horrible gas company..awful rates/rude service/and if your power goes out...they take up to one week to respond..constantly lying to you that they have missed placed your service order only to find the order was never placed.  After you call a few times..then they claim your harassing them....don't recommend this company to anyone who has a choice in their gas carrier.)

I've been getting calls from this number for about 2 weeks now.  We also get the same thing, pick up the phone and no one is there.  Most of the time.  I answered it yesterday and the guy said, "Yeah, I need to speak with the person in charge of the Columbia gas bill."  We don't even have anything in our house that runs on gas, so I said, "Sir, we don't use any gas."  The guy said, "Thank ye,"  and hung up.  Weird, huh?

i get call after call from this number and no one answers....no messages on my phone either.....

i keep getting calls from this number. today they've already called three times. they never leave any messages either...
