Maybe you can tell me if I accidentally signed myself up for anything ? I was called by your company, they had my number but someone else's name. Maybe like you said someone made up a number or something. I was asked if I planned on going to college soon and I said I was in college. She thanked me and hung up. Will my saying yes be treated as requesting information or services or anything, or will that be the end of it?

As one of the people that work for that company. I will say we are NOT selling anything or asking for money of any kind.The truth is that some how your phone number was entered onto our database, by either filling out any type of questionnaire online. ex: free Ipad, gift cards anything like that or you had spoken to a call center rep from some other company, and they had mentioned somewhere "would you like to further your education" and at which point you either agreed. As you someday want to further your education or you just wanted to get the call over with. There could even be a chance that someone put your phone number down instead of their own. This coming from one of the people you may have spoken to once. In all honesty we don't want to get sworn at, get called a b*tch or anything like that as we are just doing our jobs. We don't get anything for you going to school or not. It is extremely insensitive of you to scream or yell at us for doing our job, as we don't go to your job and scream at you. So in final if you don't want the calls simply say "Do not call me back" or even "take me off your calling list" Thank you

I tried that, and it didn't work - they kept calling.  So I called her a bi***.  It felt really good.

Just call the number back, press #1, then add your number to the "do not call" list.

You do realize that those people are actually not selling anything, right? I get these damn calls all day long aswell but these people are just doing their jobs so instead of "blasting" them like you're some big macho guy, why don't you politely just ask "please put me on your Do Not Call list", as I do.
No more hasseling calls are that simple to get rid of.

I have been receiving calls from 877 -730-7217 for weeks now and when I answer there is never anyone on the other end. Turns out, tonight I finally got a live person when I answered! The person said they were following up on a survey I answered (not true)  - they were from http://www.collegesupportservices.org. I blasted them, then asked for a supervisor, blasted her and she kept saying that I filled out a survey - finally she offered to place my number on the DO NOT CALL list but then she said that College Support Services is not the only company using the auto-dialing 877 number!! She also said that something must be wrong with the auto dialer...all standard answers that are designed to hide the fact that they are rotten telemarketers hiding behind lies using a rotten auto dialing system that ensures they always get a live person.

SO FRIGGEN ANNOYING!!!! In the last 52 hours, I have received this phone call atleast 8 times!!! No one answers, but today when I answered, I didn't say anything, and they're like "Can I talk to Crystal..."  So I hung up on them,,, maybe they will get the point... I don't even know who crystal is.... GAHHH!!!!

The same thing happened to me, but finally someone answered. It is some private college trying advertise there school.

I receive this number every day around 5 to 7 calls, when I answered there is nobody talk!!
