I have heard they usually leave you alone but it's always best to call from a blocked number and waste their time for several months. They go by Palmar & Associates and Atkins & Jacobs or Martins, as mentioned before. The woman who works for them changes her name quite often. It's fun to catch them on it, and always record your calls and save the messages. And post the really good ones on YouTube!

I am dealing with these people right now. A James Howlett has been contacting me. When I told him about this website and that I would most certainly pay them the money owed if I could verify they were a legitiment company. He "assured me" they were. I assured him his word was not assurance enough. He then told me this phone call was proof that I was refusing to settle out of court and that they would no longer accept any payment from me that they would just see me in court. I told him I would contact my laywer and hung up. After not paying this company has anyone else had any problems with them or do they leave you alone when they realize you're not going to play that game with them?

I received a call from this number saying that I had an overdue account from 2008 and that I was going to be sued in order to collect this debt.

The person over the phone did say I should verify my debt is real before I take any further action... I'm glad I researched this phone number before I decided to send in any payments!!!

Found a message on my phone when I returned home, saying the local county office was trying to serve me a summons and needed to know if "I'd be home tomorrow between 9 and 4"  He left a case number and phone number 877-736-6390.  I called and was asked my case number and was passed to 2 people.  The second person said " oh, the representative from the litigation dept. just came in the door.  I'll pass you through.'
This person gave his name as Edward Garcia.  He seemed to have a copy of my credit report, reading past history on my bankruptcy, medical bills due.  he said they had been trying to serve me a summons.  I asked at what address and he gave me an address I moved from 4 months earlier along with an address from 17 years ago!  I offered him my new address but he wouldn't take it.  The amount I owed started at $4,112. and by the time the conversation ended, he went down to $500.  He said if I agreed, they would record a statement over the phone that I agreed to the settlement an I would have to provide a scanned copy of a VISA or MasterCard.  He also threatened to attach my check. I told him the IRS already had.  i said send me the summons and he said he would follow up in a week.

Number is used by people claiming to be process servers. It's a phishing scam to get sensitive information like your social security, bank account, debit, or credit card number. They sound legit but are fake! Right now they only have your name, address, and phone #. Don't give them any more info!

They called me today. First some girl said something about legal documents and gave me this number to call. Some guy answered and asked who I was and wanted my ss number. Then he started to talk in a sexual tone with me telling me he could serve me the papers himself and we could work somthing out. He started to breathe heavy and made some sounds like he was touching himself. I got scared and hung up.

The call I got was from and "unnamed caller" telling me they had papers to serve. I asked them what kind of papers and she said she didn't have that info, they were just the people who served. so I asked her what address they were trying to serve to. she had my correct address...I was still wary so asked again what they were for or who they were from. she gave me the 877-736-6390 number to call and gave me a case number to give them. she wanted to know what time to serve the papers. When would I be home? I told her go ahead someone always there...then i called the number. some guy answered "legal department" . I gave him the case number and he put me on hold...never came back after 10 minutes I hung up.  i called my house and hubby said someone had already called there too and he gave them the royal runaround.....knew it was a scam and he loves to mess with em....i called the number again and he said legal dept and so I asked legal department of what?  He said excuse me? I said LEGAL DEPARTMENT WHERE?? he got huffy and said give me your case number. I said I don't think I will this time..just know I think you are a big scammer...he said you think what you want then. If we have a case against you we will see you in court....I said BOY I SURE HOPE SO...and he really got crappy then...said You do what you do and we will do what we do...and hung up on me...what a joke...

these people are a joke. dont be fooled. they are calling everyone and looking to serve papers. dont give any personal info to these gys

Told me they were Martin and associates.  They were trying to server me papers.  I gave them my info. Unfortunately and found out all of this.  I canceled my bank account.  We will see what happens now.

I have got the same phone calls.  They left message they were a county processor and they were trying to serve a legal summons.  I called they answered "legal attorneys" .  Transfered me to some guy demanding payment by 3.  Or they were going to put me in jail for fraud to the federal government. They said they were collecting for a us bank.   They wouldnt give their company name.  This was 1/25/13.  1/28/13 they called left message again.  I called back and said I was waitingt for their "county processor"to deliver summons.  They got hostile and demanded address.  I told them they have it that it was the same address they said they been coming to deliver it.  After 3 times yelling they want my address they yelled to give them my address and they wernt going fight with me I said neither am I and hung up...

They are going to family members homed sayingi got a subpoena for fraud.ya right

i got the same message, when i called back i asked for the name of the company they refused to give it to me, i asked them what they wanted and they wanted me to give them my social security number and date of birth, when i refused they asked for my address so they could send me some paperwork. I hung up on them and I haven't heard from them since, that was on 1/25/13

They left a messege about legal docs. Said they were Martin and Associates.  Called number, no answer.  think its a scam.

Calling me talking about they have to serve me papers cos of a bounced check. I dont even have checks!
