Fraudulent
Called 877-737-6247 Sub Data Pro correct number, but no answer, I need the magazine "Outside" cancelled, I did not order, they did without my permission, getting in touch with better business bureau, it's against the law to order something in someone else's name and subscribe them to a subscription, I want this cancelled if not the authorities will get involved

Thank you for the number, Rachel.  The person who answered said they were North Atlanta Magazines and ESPN was a free magazine for advertising/promotional purposes.  They just needed the name & address on the subscription label in order to stop the magazine. How dumb is it to get a magazine that you would never read?

Received a Large Type Reader's Digest today, first issue, and the label says it expires in February 2015.   Did not order this magazine and won't pay for it.   Called Readers Digest customer service and they provided the number for Sub Data Pro (877-737-6247) , and I spoke with "Alan".   Alan said they could not cancel subscriptions but to call Countrywide Periodicals, 888-300-9415.   I am 78 and my husband is 79, and we have just a few magazines that we have time for.

I received Maxim magazine, that I did not order. This is a magazine aimed at young single males, I am a senior woman. I call Maxim's customer service and he canceled the subscription. I was given the number of a "third party"  subscriber, which happens to be your company. No one answers the phone no matter what time of day I call. If your company is legitimate, why doesn't someone answer the phone? I am calling my states AG in the morning and stop you from operating a scam in this state. No, you do not need to know what state....I did not solicit your service, you already have too much info on me as it is. You and your company are scam artists.

Started receiving Maxim mags out of the blue. I finally contacted Maxim directly. Maxim referred me to call (877-737-6247). I had to call twice and spoke to a lovely woman named Corinne. She was polite and was able to remove me from any further publications or mailings. I further asked where the order originated and was told it came from Magazine Exchange Club (800-324-9452). I was connected to that number spoke to some young guy. It was some crappy call center and could barely hear the guy talk because of some lady in the background. But getting removed was an easy process for now at least. glad I was able to catch it early rather than late and get scammed. Hope this helps any other people down the road.

I  also received the ESPN magazine three months, we called the second and were told Sub Data Pro handled the subscriptions and gave me the phone number, 877-737-6247, i called three days and only got a message, they never returned the phone call.   So I looked the company "Sub Data Pro", found another phone number and called, again a message and they never called back.  So I called ESPN again and talked to a person, just wanting to know if Sub Data Pro had paid for my subscription, they said they did not have that information they said, "They did not have that information, I would have to get it from Sub Data Pro."   I asked to talk to a supervisor and they repeated the same.  I said, I had been in business over 65 years and could not understand a company not keeping information on who had paid for a product.  So I asked for the persons supervisor and was again told the same thing, I again asked for a third and was told they would get that person, but I waited 15 minutes and they never came. I have not found the charge on my records but am wondering if they made it under another assumed name.  This company "Sub Data Pro" sounds very suspicious to me, and I also question the business practices of ESPN.   I will get to the bottom of this and invite either company to contact me.   They both have me phone number.

Yes, there were not only one, BUT two Maxim magazines in my mailbox last week. One for the current month and also the one for January. I was to say the least, not pleased as they were in my husbands name. Now, I'm not a prude, but come on! I've ordered 'gentlemen's' magazines for my husband myself in the past, but to think he went and ordered this himself was just annoying. I'm seeing since I was sent this same number to call at Sub Data, we are also victims of this same 'scam'. I've been watching my credit cards and so far, nothing has shown up. AND it better not. They're messing with the wrong person here.

Thank you Rachel, for the number 1-800-237-7855. I started getting a magazine that I didn't subscribe to. I checked my credit cards to see if anything had been charged. Luckily nothing. I could have continued the magazines but something was nagging me saying "There's no such thing as a free lunch" in this day and age. So I called the magazine and they told me Sub Data Processing had kicked off the order. And she gave me the number 1-877-737-6247, which I called and left a message. When I read your post about calling the other number, I did. Its a company called North Atlantic Magazine Corporation (I think they have changed the name now to North Lands Magazine). She said that "its a marketing scheme to send me free copies of the magazine, they don't have any of my billing info and I will not be charged. She said they get the name and address from any preferred mailing list of sites that I am a member of (huh?) and that they do this as a promotion". I told her to cancel, she did, she said I might get one more issue.

I am currently deployed to Afghanistan.
While I was here the company Subscription Data Processing placed an order for a shady magazine (scantly clad women) without my permission or my request.

The first issue arrived at my house while I'm deployed. It caused major issues with my family and small children! My wife initially believe that I actually ordered this trash.

I will be pursuing legal options with this organization. It's hard enough on soldiers and families that have to go overseas - this shady and criminal organization does nothing but make things worse on out families. Please spread the word about this scam organization.

same as many others, received Maxim magazines one day for no reason. I called first number(877-737-6247) no answer just a machine, then called 1800-237-7855 a polite woman, not Cindy, don't recall her name, took my address and said she will cancel all further subscription orders. Just hoping they don't just take this confirmed name and address and sell it to some other company... I will be watching...

Suddenly out of no where a Maxim Magazine showed up at my house today. I never signed up for any magazine let alone Maxim. I called Maxim and the informed me this company signed me up for it. I canceled with Maxim, and was told to call 877-737-6247. What a shock when the phone goes to a voice mail. I've been trying to reach a live person all day. This is a total scam, as I have never authorized any company to sign me up for anything.

If I receive a bill, I will be going to police to file a report and look at any other possible litigation I can leverage against this company.

The Maxim magazine started arriving today. Its a piece of ugly porno and I called today Alpha Media Publishing, Inc. to cancel the subscription. The cancel number is 386-447-6312. The New York City telephone number for that company is 212-302-2626. The web site for the magazine is maxim.com. Sub Data Processing is the company that starts the free magazine subscription and their number is 877-737-6247, which I haven't called. Now we get SPAM SNAIL MAIL through the USPS thanks to the Federal Government - what a joke!

This company is running some kind of SCAM where they initiate magazine subscriptions in peoples names that they haven't ordered or authorized. I do not know how they get peoples name address and phone numbers, but last time I checked, it was fraud to be ordering things in other peoples names.  These contacts will be followed up on with the Better Business Bureau, law enforcement, and any other legal action that needs to be done.  This is FRAUD and will not be tolerated!

I would like to inform all readers of these posts that the proof is obvious that this is a scam. I too have received an unsolicited subscription from this crook, and though he claims an "A" rating with BBB, the bureau stated that:
"This Business is not BBB accredited". Keep in mind that if this "person of interest" is convicted of unscrupulous business practices perhaps some of his Annual Revenue Estimate: $500,000 to $1 million (courtesy Manta.com) he is harvesting from innocent victims like ourselves should be redistributed. I personally have started to lose money in more ways than one just trying to get this illegal activity resolved, as it has begun to take time away from my work, not to mention the stress he is putting his victims through with all the deception, false addresses, phone numbers, less than honest behavior, etc.
