yes, it's wells fargo and when you call them back it's regarding a special promotion

Wells Fargo calling with a "special promotion." I blocked the call on our phone so it rings once and they get a busy signal. Called 10 times in 2 hours on Friday.  Finally answered and told them now not a good time.  They gave me their name and number.  Called 20 times in 4 hours Monday. And 15 times in 4 hours today and still calling. I call this harassment.  Called FCC. Can't file complaint because of previous business relationship.

Call persistantly. Never leave message. Answered once. Would not identify themselves unless I identified myself.

They are calling several times a day and asking for me by name- then say "I will call back at a more convenient time". Yes, it feels like harrasement

Get several calls a day.  Caller id just says Toll free number.  They never leave a message.  We do not answer the phone.  very annoying

I am getting calls from this number CONSTANTLY.  Saw on another website that it was indeed Wells Fargo.  You can call the number back and an automated system answers and gives you an option to be removed from their call list.  I opted out, hopefully it will work!!!

I'm getting the calls as well. i called back and they do give you an option to remove your number by entering 1. Then the recording said it will take 5 business days to remove number from this promotion and 30 days to completely remove. Then the recording asked me to leave my number on voice mail after the beep to remove.

I answered. A tape Said  " Hello...sorry we don't have representative available.  This call is from Minnesota Life Insurance.  A representative will call you back later or you can call ...." and they left a number.  I wrote it down wrong and got a disconnected.    I live in California.

Try this - pick up your phone - listen for the dial tone - dial star 60 - wait for a triple tone break - dial the 10 digit number you want to block - wait for the confirmation message - enjoy peace and quiet. Same process with star 80 unblocks the number - but why?

I called the number and it is, as everyone says, wells fargo.  Automated message said if I wasnt interested in the promotion to press 1.  I did and then it said within 5 days they would remove number from marketing...but to allow 30 (!) days for complete removal from system.  Im sure they will call every day until then.  Geez

None.  I assume it is a computer generated call.

I have been receiving this call several time a day too. How can I stop it? Please help.

Received 4 calls on 11/04/09.  Finally answered as concerned something might actually be wrong with one of my Wells Fargo accounts. Was Wells Fargo trying to sell me Mortgage Life Insurance.  Explained I wasn't interested and tried to terminate call.  She wouldn't let me off the phone. I was forced to hang up to end the call.

Frequent calls and nobody there when I answer. Wells Fargo and I have never had a business relationship with them. The do not call list is a joke.

They call every single day including weekends, morning, noon and night, but they never leave a message.

Your number will not be removed until you listen the entire message...press 1 to have your phone number remove, then listen for the additional information they are requesting...your phone number.

I have an unlisted number. They call several times a day, don't leave a message and when I answer a recorder comes on that no representative is available and they will try later again.
I think it is a Life insurance promotion through Wells Fargo Bank.

Thanks, there were 2 calls from this number on our caller ID.  I did what you said, called back and hit "1" and they said that our number would be removed in 5 days and totally from their system in 30 days.  We'll see.  I blocked their number anyway.

This caller is Wells Fargo. If you dial the number back, 1-877-740-1113 you geT a recording saying " you have reached Wells Fargo, we have called you with a special promotion, if you don't want us to call you press 1 to removed your name from our system". I have paraphrased. I wish they would have said what the promotion was, who knows I might have been interested.

Called at 7:06pm. Didn't pick up. Left no message. Irritating.

Chill out dude, while I too HATE Robo-calls, it clearly states that it takes 30 days to clear all of your info from their system. But good luck with the FCC.

Wells Fargo attempting to sell something, simply hit '1' and 'opt out' & the calls stop.

As Bokii said, it's Wells Fargo. I called the number back and pressed 1 to be removed. A recorder said it will take 5 days to process and 30 days to be removed from their marketing efforts. I sure hope it's true!

THey called again today, after I opted out several days ago.  I am on the do not call list, does that not matter?  I am going to report them to the ftc, too.

We have been getting many many many calls from this number.  I took the other suggestions and called the number back to be removed from their caller list.  The number I called was indeed Wells Fargo.  I hope they remove us from their list soon! UGH!

There must be something done to prevent Companies from sharing personal info with such an ease as it is done in the US.

Personal info can NOT be shared very easily in Europe and my country--Russia. When the US will have such a law? Untill then, many will be harrassed by telemarketers.
