got a call from Officer Blackston, badge 0363, from the FTC stating there's an important package with my (deceased) father's name on it. We must call back so that they can get the package out to us today. He gave a return number of 202-521-2447 and to leave a message if he's not there.

Scumbags. I'd love to catch these guys in the act and get my hands on them.

"

This group is also using the number 202-521-2447.  Same guy, Peter Blackston, same scam.  The FTC does not bother with lottery winnings or taxes.

I was contacted by Dan Welch, said he was with the Federal Trade Commission and that I had won 350,000 and wanted 1,200.00 that was for insurance with Lords of London for transfer of funds from another state for requirement for homeland security to make sure I was the party for which the check was issued to.  I was very sceptical and started doing research on the internet.  He finally said I could give the federal express courier $300.00 to recive the certified check that was to be delivered to me. After reading all the responses from other people, I now know that this is a scam and other people had experienced the same scam.

Unfortunately, I didn't know about this until it was too late.  An elderly man was suckered into this hook line and sinker.  He sent these people $500.00 and was wiring an additional $2000.00 today until we spoke to him to find out who he was wiring it to.  They thrive on the elderly!!!

We received a call from both Mr. Lopez and Walter Anderson from the Federal Trade Commission stating we won $250,000 and wanted approximately $1,000 to be sent to Sheldon Low, 1325 N.W. 103 St, San Jose, Costa Rica claiming the man was an agent for Lloyds of London.  The caller ID however showed a company name of Delta Three Inc, telephone no. 202-330-4667.  Don't fall for this scam!!!!!
