Claiming they have made previous attempts to get in contact with me about a car they claim that was registered under my name that had been towed. I have never owned or sold such vehicle in question. Now they are saying if I don't pay the outstanding balance due, they are going to notify the credit bureaus of my delinquency. I called and those people are very rude, they tried several times to get personal information from me but I refused. I asked for the VIN number or License plate numbers and they said without proper identification they cannot give me details about the car in question and advised to contact DMV to see if the vehicle in question is under my name. At this point I am stuck and don't know how to proceed with this.

This company is shady, I got a call from these clowns about a car I never owned or leased.  I have never had a car get impounded and the only towing I have had is through AAA.  Anyway these guys called me and I just told the guy I've never owned that car and he has the wrong guy.   If they ask for your personal info its because they don't have it to start with, the guy was clueless basically dialing for dollars.  The guy who said Google the company its Legit must be one of their debt collectors because I didn't see anything positive about this place on Google

They also keep calling me on a motorcycle that I sold long before it was towed, I didn't even own it long enough to put it in my name. I sent them a bill of sale and they keep calling. From the sound of it looks like I should lawyer up before these morons decide to put a ding in my credit...

Got voice mail from 877-757-2296 saying that by not answering my phone I was verifying that I was Timothy Fowler....and any info gathered would be used to collect a debt. Idk who Timothy Fowler is, but its not me.I get repeated calls from these nutjobs and when I have answered and told them they have the wrong number, they inform me that they do not. Ya, so thats why they get voice mail now.

I had a car towed due to the malfeasance of gone-bad Jim of Shamrock Motors parking it all over the neighborhood in 2009-early 2010 while having it in their possession for many months, not fixing it, letting it be parked on the street getting tickets on it I didn't know about until much later, and when I went to take it back found it had been towed. I had no choice but to sign it over fully, pink slip etc. to defray all charges. They SFCity towing agy said they'd handle all paperwork. This was in Feb of 2010. Now am getting these lien notices and calls. I told them I could not pay and would not pay if I could. Got a call today from them (which I missed). I had already told them all my income was disability-derived and is not legally grab-able. That was a month or so ago.

Same thing happen to me, except that they garnished my state tax refund. DMV says they never received my Liability Change form (although we did) and that we still are the owners according to them. Really feel helpless.

I sold a car long ago. The dude never changed the title. Car gets towed. I don't care. Then I get a call talking about I owe 800 and need to get 'my' car out and that they are going to report it to the credit guys if I don't. I don't care. Not my car. I surrender my rights of the car when I sold it. Told the guy I surrender my rights at the DMV. Wants me to send paper. Dude if you went through the trouble of going to the "DMV" office and got "told" I own the car. You need to go again and check out that I am NOT  the owner!!!!!

I had received calls from this company before and when I pulled up my credit report I had an outstanding balance that they had reported to the credit bureaus. When I called and told them that I did not own this vehicle at the time it was towed and even faxed them a release of liability they still refused to remove it from my credit report. I immediately sued them and won. My lawsuit was the third one filed against them. Even their insurance dropped them because they were being sued so much. If you are having trouble with this company contact the law offices of Anderson, Ogilvie and Brewer LLP. Email Mark Anderson at mark@aoblawyers.com

I just received a voicemail message today. The message stated that I owed an outstanding debt. After reading the comments on this page, I feel that this is a complete scam. I've never had any of my cars towed, I've never had any of my cars in storage, other than my own garage, I've never sold any of my cars, and I've never had any of my cars impounded.  I also clicked on the link that mlou provided, and not one single issue relates to me. They're simply predators!

Mlou is a total scammer. NO government owned company would want to costumers to provide personal information such as social security through the phone! That's illogical and risky which should remain personal. I have a feeling someone's going to get sued!!!! BIG TIME!!!!!

I do not agree that it is legitimate.  I have never had a tow or even a ticket so they should NOT be calling me.  I've added the number to my phone provider's blocked list.  Now when they try to call me they'll hear a message that I'm not accepting calls from this number.

I sold a car in a different state over a decade ago. The title shows transferrance multiple times after my ownership and shows release of title to California from my state. I found this out in a matter of minutes from the DMV. I have no idea how these people found my name related to this car many years  and owners later, but they tell me I owe them for an impounding 2 years ago because I once owned this car..... I have also been told that it has been reported to my credit (I still have to check that one out). I never received any notification of this before someone called my home a few months ago. After trying to cooperate and find out what this was about, I asked the person I was speaking with why if I can find out that the title has been released from my name why they could not. She said "Oh, let me call you back" but did not.... They are also calling me under my previous name,  which also changed several years ago and I have not been at this phone number under. If they can do that good of a job researching and finding me, why can't they find the person who holds the title? I am being harrassed and will not let this rest. I don't understand how I can be told I am liable for a debt on property that was sold so many years ago in a different state and shows at the DMV that I no longer own the car....

Lien Enforcement, Inc is a shady company at best. The manager is named Mike Anderson. Their phone number is 877-757-2296. They "specialize" in collecting payments due to towing companies. They are unethical, rude and specialize in illegal business practices. They look back on vehicle ownership history and contact anyone who has ever owned the vehicle, no matter that records of sale and release of liability forms are all a matter of public record. They look to collect funds, irrespective of whether they know you are legal owner or not. Report to the BBB! Call an attorney. They clearly deserve it.

How can this be a legit company if you have never bought/owned a vehicle, driven a vehicle or had a drivers license in your life? I get 2 to 3 calls aday from this number, they leave no message. The one time I did answer they wanted my social security number, date of birth, bank information and my mothers maiden name, all of which I refused to give them. They said they needed this information to verify if I had an account with them or not! Yeah right, SCAM all the way.
