Call the federal trade commission. I just filed a complaint with them against stone whitman and associates.

Didn't get a call but got a letter in the mail telling me I owe them money, if you knew me you'd know that this is not going to happen. I called the 877-760-7072 and got a message they weren't available at the time to leave a message. Glad to see that everyone fells it's a scam.

Got the same thing snowgirl, and "Jason Richardson" from "Stone-Whitman" said I was the only person who argued I wasn't going to pay.  SCAM!! and when he said he was going to ruin my credit I told to go ahead, got the letter same day. This idiot also said I was avoiding calls and didn't answer to the letter..that I just received the same day.  And it goes back to December 2010.  If I really  owed any credit card "3rd party" money I would have received a bill.  Don't waste time, they are the worst scams artists ever

I received several calls from this # (877-760-7072) and decided to finally answer it to find out who this was. Some guy----said his name so fast & garbled-----stated he was with Stone-Whitman & Assoc. and was calling in regards to a "delinquent account".  I had never had any correspondence regarding the matter he was talking about, but he had SS#s, husband's mother's maiden name, etc.  Creepy.  He stated that if I paid the amount of over $300 now, I'd be saving over $200 later because the amount would continue to raise.  I told him, "Good luck with that!!  I have no job, so the amount can continue to rise because I was not paying for something that was settled over 3 years ago."  The following day I got an "official" looking letter from them.
I'm not too happy that they had so much information about us. I don't know who to contact to complain about this. Can someone direct me?  thanks!!

I get calls from them at all hours of the day and evening. I believe It to be a scam and have stopped answering the calls, nor do I listen to the messages they leave. I have no Intention of giving them any Information what so ever, and would urge others to do the same.

i got a call from that number today.  they had the right information but the card they calling about was discharged in bankruptcy in 2005.  my attorney told me keep talking and recording them and their threats on it and we go sue them for violating the debt collection act.

Called me trying to collect a deliquent credit card debt from 2000.  Yes its 13 years old.  Threatened to sue me.  Stautue of Limitations is 4 years.  Threatned to send a 1099 to the IRS for the original write off.  IRS web-site says the original bank must issue it within 3 years of the write off.  If the account is sold to a collection agency (which most are within a year of the first deliquency) the original creditor doesn't normally issue the 1099.  The reason is because the amount would be wrong if you ended up paying even a single dollar of it.

Got a call from this number today but didn't answer it and they left no message. From what I've read, I'll be blocking this number from contacting me shortly.

I have never heard of these people. And to make matters worse they are calling my son's father's parents whom i dont have any contact with! SCAM JERKS!

I just received a call today from this #. Her name was Lynn and she identified herself from Stone Whitman and  Associates. When I asked her what they do, she replied with they help mediate.  When I asked what do they mediate, she said there is a possible civil dispute against me. When I asked who is it from, she hung up on me.  So I called her back and she hung up on me again.  So I called back again and asked to speak with a supervisor and she said that she can assist me.  I told her that I would have my attorney contact her.  About 20 mins later, my attorney called me and said that he contacted this number and when he gave her his name and title, she hung up on him.  SCAM SCAM SCAM.  Tell them to get bent.

They've called me twice today and left a message with a pre-recorded voice mixed together saying, "If this is *garbled name* please press 1 and refer case number *garbled numbers*."  If they call again I may try to troll with them.

Someone from phone # 877-760-7072 just called my parents home looking for MaLinda Brooks with a claim # 201422709. Said they were a process server and MaLinda's maiden name is Phelps. That is definitely not me.

They called looking for my wife. They asked for her social # I laughed at them and I said like I was going to tell you that. They said they would give me a case number I said I don't care for that. any one could make a number up. They was really rude to me but I guess I was much worse then that wanted to deal with. They hung up on me. Beware this is a scam and please Don't give any Info out.

I have been getting these calls  for 2 weeks now they leave a voice message with a refer number when they call.

Just received a phone call from this number. Said this is in regards to a civil suit and provided a case number. Phone disconnected.

I received a call from this number on my home phone at 12:21am and then on my cell phone at 1:01am! I didn't answer, nor did I call back.

I have been getting calls for nancy miles for over 4 years about an urgent legal matter that must be dealt with right now.  At first it was from the criminal investigations unit of the government...but they barely spoke english.  Then it changed to a woman from the same agency whom spoke primarily spanish.  Now it looks like they have upgraded to a robo caller claiming to be from a debt collection agency.  I believe they are using hacked pbx or telephone relays.  This has been going on for so long i think that the next time they call i will just start recording them, give them false information then post it on youtube.  Or perhaps i can call the agency they are calling from now and file for harassment?

This number is associated with Stone Whitman and Associates.  Nothing but a scam!

I received a call about a suit that is being filed against me. I believe it is a scam cause I am always getting these calls.

I just received a phone call from the same number and the lady ask me for my neighbor, when I just move to my apartment,1 month and I don't even know my new neighbors like that, for this peoples, Shawnee Mission or Stone, Whitman & Asso call me. Someone have to spot this Scam

Name claim, Tony from Stone, Whitman & Asso.  Gave me a claim number, and asked if I was expecting a child support claim or something similar.  Fishing of course,   Bait not sufficient.

talked to a "Tony Wright"  gave me a case #.  I searched for the "Attorney Office" on the web = no such listing in Orlando, FL.  He did say he was calling from Shawnee Mission, KS.  I am going to file a police report.  "Tony" called from a Florida #  1-785-125-5657.  He tipped me off because he was too cooperative.
Someone needs to shut them down.

They just called my fathers phone asking me as well.  Here is their site if anyone else wants do some research (http://www.stone-whitman.com/). I know all my debts and what is being processed and paid off (and currently paying) so for them to call is very odd.

This is a scam.  Called the police department and a man had just filed a report about a similar situation.  Any correspondence from this number, file a police report.  A legitimate company would have a name associated with this number.  There is no results, so there is no company.  They claimed to be an attorney's office, but any real attorney would be searchable...something wrong here right away.  Don't give them your information!  Phishing scam all the way.
