I feel like an idiot for not seeing this until now.  It's from June, 2010, and I found it as I was gathering data for tax filing.  It's a debit for $1495 by Cure Logic software, same phone # as above.  You work hard just to give it to sorry lowlife scammers who've never done an honest day's work in their lives.  I hope you get yours, deadbeat.

All credit card companies generate CC numbers for their customers based on a formula. Thieves sometimes guess these formulas, generate huge numbers of fraudulent numbers, and try charging small amounts to them to probe which ones work. The ones that work often then get hit for larger charges.

Sometimes the thieves buy these card numbers from overseas hacker sites that sell huge lots of valid numbers for pennies.

In my case it was American Express. This is the third time in a year I have had to cancel my card and change my number. Since Amex shifted a lot of their 'customer service' offshore, I have had nothing but problems. I would not be surprised if an agent somewhere with access to my account information was selling my (and other folks) number on the side.

I was reconciling our bank statement tonight and discovered a $14.95 charge for Curelogic Software followed by a number which has enough digits to be a phone number. We've had no contacts with anyone. Our other debits that day were Murphy Oil, Wal-Mart, and Hardee's. I'm going to the bank on Monday.

My checking was charged $14.95 on 7-7-10. How did these crooks get all these credit and debit card numbers? I am more pissed at the merchants than the crooks. They don't seem to give a damn about securing our information. Anyway, reported the card stolen, closed it and filing a Debit Transation Dispute form (supplied by my bank) with VISA to try and get my money back. Also filed a police report.

I also have a charge for 14.95 from Curelogic with this phone number listed, on my latest credit card statement, and I did not make this charge or any to any computer company website. I called the 877 number and the message said disconnected. The date of this fraudulent charge is June 15. I am reporting it to my credit card company.

I just saw a charge for 14.95 on my bank account online.  I called my bank and I have to go in an fill out an affidavit to dispute the charge.  I shopped at TJ Maxx the day before this charge showed up.  I remember they had a huge problem with stolen card numbers in the past.  Wonder if there is a connection...

I just noted a charge on my card last night.  It was supposedly made on 07/08, but it didn't show up until 07/13.  I just got a new card on 07/09/10 because the old one quit "reading" when they would run it through, and I activated it on 07/09.  Now I get this fraudulent charge.  I hadn't used the card anywhere yet, so I'm not sure what the connection is or where they got their information.  I did call the phone number and got right through, but only got a recording that said to leave my name, phone number and a message and they'd "get right back to me", yeah I bet.  I did dispute the charge with my credit card company and filed a complaint with the BBB.  I noticed that www.curelogic.com takes you straight to a sell page for "BestCure Registry Cleaner"...has anyone purchased that or know anything about it?

I had purchased a cable from computer geeks and verified that purchase ( less than 5.00 including fright ). thay told me the two were conected and that I needed to call computer geeks to get the 14.95 from cure logic software reversed. Go figure! Needless to say I won't be visiting computer geeks web sight again.

I just checked my bank account and found 3 charges that are similar to those described on this post.  One for $9.00 from "S RM Inc." And two from CureLogic - $1 and $14.95.  Am on the phone with my bank right now to get the charges reported as fraudulent.  Will call the police as well.

These pieces of crap charged my bank account 3 times all on the same day!  Once under the name "Q MEDIA LLC"  for $10.00, and then twice under "CURELOGIC SOFTWARE" for $1.00 and $14.95.  There were no phone numbers or contact info listed along with the bank charges.  I noticed it right away, and called my bank to claim them as fraudulent charges.  The compromised card is newer, and I have only made about 10 purchases on it EVER, and all of it was shopping online at reputable SSL secured sites (clothes and shoes mostly).  That must mean either someone working for one of these companies is stealing or selling customer info, or someone is hacking one of these sites to obtain card numbers.  Either way, shame on you, get a job, you worthless losers.  I also received a weird answering machine message a few weeks back that was threatening in tone from some "lawyer's office" about a "loan" that I needed to pay back or else they would file charges against me.  Uhh, red flag immediately because I have no loans out.  At all.  As in none.  I guess they just assume everyone lives off of credit or loans at some point (because most people do), so it would be like shooting fish in a barrel.  I never called the number back, because it was obviously some sort of phishing scam dirtbags.  They used the name "Shapiro and Price", and when I googled the name and number, a huge amounts of posts came up with people saying they received similar calls and that it was a huge scam.  I am wondering if this is related to the bank charges, or if it is just a string of coincidence?  It just seems odd that both happened within a month of each other, and I have never encountered anything of this sort before this!

I got charged as well, the phone number i had listed was different 877-507-1018
anyone actually had the money returned yet, i think I'm just going to request new cards.  I called their number but I wonder if that is part of the scam.  I wonder if they are trying to match a phone number to the card.

The charge is billed from "CureLogic Software"  - the website: http://www.curelogic.com/order.htm
is unprofessional and gives no real contact info, their phone number been busy all morning.'
My a bank confirms the 'card was not present' for the charge.  They must have a compromised list of card numbers they're charging.  Please inform your card issuer.
