The next time they call, demand a legitimate, physical address in which to mail a cease communication letter VIA certified mail with return receipt requested. If they refuse, let them know you will be seeking legal counsel who will get it for you and will be filing a lawsuit for violations of the FDCPA and TCPA.

I get calls two or three times a day, for a guy that previously owned this phone. I know that because other people call for him.

But I tell them constantly to take me off the calling list and they say they already did. Then a lady miss Reid got nasty with me today saying I need to block their number or get a lawyer.

I'm tired of it. And I'm not paying money to block this harassing company.

At this point they have  called for weeks trying to collect on a payday loan I never took out. I just f*c with them now ask them a bunch of stupid questions or start having phone sex with them it's funny as he'll hearing them get all pissed off and hearing them say there gonna go ahead with a lawyer and go forward with charges.  Then I get serious and say spell lawyer for me and they hang up. It's really fun if you have a minute to spare.

I've gotten an automated call at work the past two days from STP Group, stating I need to call them back at 877-769-3058 regarding File # xxxxxx. Multiple attempts have been made to resolve this legal matter, if we do not hear back from you today we will recomment to our client that they persue further action against you. I did not call them back. Now, I'm wondering if someone hasn't opened an fraudulant account in my name. My wallet was stolen last year, and now I'm getting stranger debt collectors calling that were not on my credit report last year. Guess I'll write letters to the credit bureaus to get them to investigate it.

I wonder if these guys are related to Hartford & Associates. I get the same type calls from them. They always want to speak to my boss about garnishing an employee's wages. They told me I was not doing my job by not giving my boss the message, then they wanted to know who my supervisor's boss was. When I asked for their address, etc. they guy got ugly & I hung up on him.

Definitely writing the credit bureau's I have a police report.

They will also attempt to call back right afterwards from a number with an area prefix that will be somewhere in your locality just to see if you'll answer. #NotSlick

Calling me and letting threating message for a friend of mine.how did they get my fon number ?    A dork trying to sound official repeated message over. and over .if my friend does even owe money , i do not think the collecter is aloud to call around to everyone and blab about....sounds like an evil person.fact is I'm making a vodo doll of him andthe collector will not rest tonite guarenteed.

So  I get  Blocked/Anonymous Call I answered, which I never do. 1st had some lady call me named Ms. Lorrie and asked to speak to me, I tell her I need take a msg and call her back I have someone in my office, she told me she processes on Tuesday and Thursday and if I didn't wanted my file sent to the courts I needed to resolve this issue today. Again I ask for her number so I could call her back but she refused, so then she ask me to transfer her to my HR department, so I hang up. I am at work. She calls back and leaves me a horrible voicemail about how unprofessional I was and I needed to be terminated. Unprofessionally really Lady. She didn't even tell me who I owe I do know the law about debt collectors. An How about she was talking to HR DUMBA$$

I received a call saying that they had settled 50% of this and talking about a case at court really these people call me all day they are harassing me.

I just stated getting this call for STP, they said that I owe a loan, true I do a loan and I called the people that deal with my loan, said they never heard of them. I call Dallas county to ask them about this, since I was told that where they got my information to resolve this issue before it went to court from them.... HAHA.. they told me this was a SCAM, because that only deal with merchant personally not bill collectors. And they did violate fair credit act. I told do what they have to do.

I have filed an identity thrift with my local police because they do have to much personal information. I have received called from 5 different companies claiming the same thing. One I tell them that I have a police report and can fax it to them they seem to stop.

I have been getting calls all day from this number and I call back they tell me I got a pay day loan out and I curse they a** out bc that a lie then do hang up they must be real stupid if I'm going hand over my money I ask@ they to send me a paper to go to court with how much I owe I'm really tired of getting calls from these scam artist

These people obviously have no life. If they would get out and get a real job, I'm sure they would use half the effort they do now trying to screw people. What a hoax.

It is a place called STP Associates.  I asked Ryan want company does he represent he said STP and Associates.  I said you are a debt collection agency and I asked what company do you allege I owe and the amount, please.  I asked him to record the call he said why, I asked are you recording he said wait a minute es.  I said do not call me here at work send me a notice validating the amount you allege I owe, I will have my attorney review it.  He said I have a summons to serve you.  I said serve the summons anytime you need to I will be here until 5.  He said "YOU ARE TALKING LIKE B***S***", I said good one so you aren't recording my call, then he transferred me.

I have been receiving calls every day from one of these different people saying I am going to be arrested if I do not pay them. Its getting frustrating every day for the past month. I have involved my local authorities in fear this is identity theft. I really cant take anymore of it. Its crazy!!!!!

I get calls from this number AT WORK 3-4 times a day. I have NEVER taken out a pay day loan. I don't owe Habib in India a dime, though he stated his name is John, uh huh. I asked "John" to provide me with more details instead of idle threats with a lawyer. He replied with "You need to tell you lawyer to contact us". yeah, I'll just pull one out of my purse. Stop harrassing me, Habib. Go get a real job like the rest of us.

Correct you are. You can also ask them to comply with 15 USC 1601 and listen to them flip out.  That is the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act which requires them on the first contact to identify themselves, the company they are calling from, who they are calling for and that this is an attempt to collect a debt on the very first call. They are also required to provide a written "validation notice" by US Mail and to provide you with valid mail and phone contact information.  They really go off when you demand they comply with Federal law.

Automated message for "debt collection." If you try to talk to someone they will get real stern, try to intimidate you, and attempt to make you think that either they are a lawyer, employ lawyer, or will use a lawyer to take you to court.

Stay calm, don't believe them. I've been telling these scumbags to f*** off for months. They claim I took out a pay day loan AND committed check fraud. Neither have ever happened. They do have some of my personal info, which is scary. But do not believe a word they say. They are a debt collecting scam. NO ONE OWES THEM A DIME.

Flip the script on these dirtbags. When they call ask for the persons full name, ask for their address, website, the owners name. Watch how quickly they stumble.
