I got the mail from them,,,that i received a $100.00 gift card from walmart or target. They ask about my information. Who are this people. I told them don't call or send me this mail. Is it a fraud mail. Who are this people????

i got that same message last night it was like around 11pm very rude fiirst of all and so i called it and i was put on hold  i was going to complaine when some one awnserd but not worth my time if i get it again though ill give em a peice of my mind

Called number form my work and it is a call center and you can not understand the people at all. All I could understand was do you want free gas card and I said NO.

5 minutes later i got this text

I do not want any calls from this number - i know not who it is generated from!

THESE PEOPLE ARE JUST TRYING TO GET YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER

JUST GOT A TEXT STATING "THEY WANTED TO THANK ME AND I WAS GETTING A $100 GIFT CARD."  I DIDN'T GO ANY FURTHER AND ERASED IT.

They hang on me on me when I ask who they are.

I got a text , but I returned the call from a land line. i asked whot hey represent and they automatically hang up!

The origin call is from a 912/332-6977 and checking this out, I found it is a cell phone operating somewhere near Hinesville, GA with a return number of the 877 #. This came into my cell phone as text msg which is on the national federal " do not call" list. The message was : Pls call, we want to thank you.....???? Be wary, this is an obvious scam.

I got a SMS message today saying we want to thank you, and call 877-770-0947 to get your free $100 gift card.  The number came in as 203-252-7999.  I had a feeling it was a scam.

There are so many scamers out there trying to rip people off.  Thank you all for the heads up.

This is a scam. Not only do they ask for your credit card information, it will also charge your cell phone bill. I called my cell provider and they said it is a scam, if you respond to it, they take it as you are accepting the charge.

This is a SCAM.  Report Complaint to the FCC  http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm.  Company name they claimed is Text Messaging Services.  Had to call 4 times because they kept hanging up on me.  Give them a bogus name and have them describe the program to you.  Then file the complaint to the FCC.

Event though our phone number is on the "Do not call list" we still receive these b***s*** calls. So how do we stop them from even calling us? Not only that, I don't have an unlimited text plan.

Received this text about winning a gift card.....not sure how they got my number!!!   READ UP, BECAUSE IT APPEARS TO BE A SCAM!

Yep. The same  number shown as 318.344.6915 called me. When I called this same number back, it was a recording first asking me to leave a message then said the mailbox was full and to call again later (?). The call back number was different in the message I received was for me to call this other nummber - 877.770.0947 so I called it and a guy named 'Jules' answered, telling me about this 100.gift card to WalMart/Target but I had to pay shipping of 4.95. He said it was because I'd done some surveys online in the past 3 months.  (Note here that actually I had done some surveys recently and had won a gift card that I never claimed but did he know this somehow?).  I asked if he could send me info by mail so I could pay for it by mail but he said they were only allowed to take debit/credit transactions, that the call was recorded and was only charging the one-time fee. It was all for this savings club promo thing that they wanted me to 'look over' and if I liked it fine, but if I didn't that was ok too and to keep the gift card as a thank you.  So, I would get this savings club membership info, and the gift card was a thank  you for looking over the package they would send by mail (after I pay over the phone (hmm-?-). I asked him if I could call him back tomorrow and he said yes but that the promotion was limited and might not be available tomorrow, depending on how many respond.  
Sounds fairly professional, but I am skeptical so am looking more into it.  I'll notify the survey people first, then notify or respond as appropriate. It's just a sad shame that there's no easier way to validate these kinds of things.

My wife is an AT&T wireless customer service operator.  She advised me to send a "Stop" reply to all spam type text like this one.
