When speaking to the representative - she said that I was going to receive a $200 wallmart gift voucher and a $40 gas card.  She said that she had other offers like coupons for local restaurants that I would also save on for a charge of $10 a month that would show up on my credit card.  And, that the first month was free just for trying.  If I didn't get my savings that I could call and cancel.  My package never came to my home.  However, when looking on my bank statement they had charged me $4.95 for the Shipping of the packet with all my goodies inside.  Checking my mailbox deligently - there was no packet!  I came to the realization that I was scammed.  Luckily, they had only gotten me for the $4.95.  End result, I had my credit card canceled and renewed.  Beware, Be leary

I got the same thing except it was a text message and it was for 100. I called to see what it was and my husband happen to have gotten me a gift card so when they said it was free I would just have to pay 2.95 for shipping. I used the gift card but didnt tell them it was a gift card so that way if it was a scam they wouldnt be able to pull any extra money once I spent all the money on my gift card. They told me it would take 7-10 business days until I got my 100dollar voucher. Then they told me about the resturant thing i think it was called Great Fun and that I would get an extra 20dollar visa gift card for 2more dollars and I decline then they offered me a 50 dollar gift card for 2more dollars so I told them to go ahead and just give me both. So about 4days later I get a phone call about the 20 and 50 dollar gift cards that they didnt  have anymore left but since they made a mistake they would give me a 200 dollar gift card to enter some program for identitiy theft, but they didnt tell me that charges any fee. So they charged 2.95 to the card and a 4.95 when the 4.95 showed up on the gift card balance w/ a telephone number (ID SENTINEL ALERT 888-367-6124 , KS) I called them and asked them what they were and they told me they were some identity theft place and I said they charged me and I never got anything from them and it had been over 2wks they apologize and refunded my money and hung up.

I went on vacation and came back and still nothing. I waited 16 business days (not including the weekends) and still nothing. So I called and they told me that it would be there tomorrow which was a thursday but if not it could be there friday, saturday or Monday and if not just to call. So of course I didnt get anything in the mail and called Wednesday instead of monday and the number was not available. So now I waited til today which is the following Tuesday ( 29 business days later from the orignial call not including weekends and charging me) from when I called and the guy told me they shipped the last shipment out late on Dec 17 when my order was placed Nov 17 which thats a lie and why would it take a month to ship out my voucher. He told me just to wait til next monday. I told him no thank you and to just refund me my 2.95 it might seem like ONLY 2.95 but if you add up all the ppl they are scaming 2.95x100 ppl=295 dollars in there pocket and I am sure they are scamming thousands of ppl. So buyer beware these ppl arent legit don't fall for it and if you wanna do it make sure your using a gift card or something not linked to your bank account.

Everyone that has been scammed by this phone number 877-775-0529....call the FTC and report them.

The more calls the FTC gets regarding this scam the sooner they can do something about it and get our money back.

I've waited untill 1-26-11 for my "rebate offer" I acually got threw to a conman today.  and he hung up on me when  I asked to whom am I speaking with.  I back tracked    to a company called savings to go who is a real company that was offering 40 bucks in gas.  They gave me this #  1-877-456-6289.  She called them and a woman answered said to look up the address in phone book ha ha. and then hung up so she was also puzzled and now is aware of this con so now this company knows too.  I am contacting the bbb, attorney general, and anyone else i can think of to try to catch these people.  Nothing is ever free and  I never thought it was.  buy the way visa doesn't deal with anything smaller than $10.

They pulled the same thing on me as well i got the draft information from my bank thats who i came across this information that i was not alone when i  google gft-vouch my bank told me to report this to federal trade commission so i u could do this as well it would make the case more stronger cause they need more then one complaint based on what im reading on there site im trying the attorney general for state of missouri as well because i dont appreciate this mess one bit i dont care if it was 2.95 its hard out here and who has money to throw away for somebody else

I am so mad and pissed off. They contacted me on dec 8. And said that thecard will be mail off on the same day. I haven't recieved the card and whem i call back exactly on the 10th day. they told me that the card will be mail off on the next day. So still no card..as the days continue to pass still not card or no answer throgh there phone line. So i call today dec.30th to be told that they are closed today on dec 31st.
This is truely a scam how is dec 30th is dec 31st? I will be contacting the fbi and bbb to have these b*****ds prosecuted to the fulliest. Time is to hard to be losing money.

Has anyone ever been charged more times than the first "shipping" charge?

I was stupid and did this back in Oct. I finally called in December after patiently waiting and the nice lady on the phone said they were having a back log of orders and that her computer shows that I would receive my voucher on Friday. I waited until Tuesday to call back since I had not received anything. When I called back the guy on the phone asked for my name.... I gave him my name WITH spelling and then after a long pause he asked for my name again. I then told him I gave it to him already and he said "oh ok." He then tried to tell me that the post office sent back the voucher because they said it was "suspicious." I asked him why the post office would think it was suspicious and he kept saying "I don't know. But we called them and let them know to look for it."

I then asked for the supervisor this time and he told me he was the supervisor. I told him that I wanted to talk to someone OTHER than him and he told me there was no one other than him. I told him I wanted to talk to the owner and he said the owner can never be reached on the phone. I got furious and he then said he was going to tell me to "have a nice day" and hung up.

I called again. I got a different person and said I wanted to talk to a supervisor. Guess who I got.... yup the same guy. He told me again that there was no one else. I told him I thought they were a fraudulant company and that if they really were sending me a new voucher that I wanted him to send it to me overnight. He said with their budget he couldn't do that. I told him that I would continue to call until I was able to speak with someone else. He then told me that he would be looking for my call.

I will be calling my credit card company to report them!!!!!!!!

IM IN THE SAME SITUATION THIS A***OLES NEED TO BE STOPED BECAUSE THEY ARE GOING TO BE DOING THIS UNTIL SOME BODY (BBB, FBI) PUTS A STOP TO IT....

I am very disappointed as well! I thought this was too good to be true. They got my money, and I never received my Walmart gift card. I think I wll call my bank tomorrow to dispute this situation, and just maybe they can gve me my money back.

I received the same call and just got off the phone with them, I paid that on (1/16/2010) was told that it was just sent out. I told them I want my money back and that they have been reported. I know ya'll are as mad as I am, we should know better!

What the hell is this i thought wow its my lucky day and its fake what in the world they sounded real to me i mean come on.  I want to sue them man i am soo irrate.

same thing happened to me i called the number and got the run around. i emailed walmart  and told them the story and they sent me a gift card and apologized for being misled and that they hope i could still trust the walmart name. i say email corporate the more they know that its not just me maybe something real can happen to the people that screwed us over

I just got done writing about this.  The Rep. lady on the phone was so nice!!  I told her when giving her my credit card number that It was my life line.  She didn't even flinch!  I was scammed too for the exact amount.  Never again!  Spent last Saturday with my family - my sisters made me call my bank to cancel my card.  They preached to me that nothing in life is free.  Nothing!  They're right again.  Damn that lan line.  I could be saving $50 a month for not having that!

I just got through and the guy told me that I should receive my card Thursday or Friday. If I don't get it to call back and they will FEDX it to me overnight. Isn't that sweet,(NOT) because he didn't ask for no information from me. He sounded like he was in a car driving with the window down and the wind was strong that I barely could hear him, now tell me this, isn't that kind of ironic.

I just called the 877 number and I got through quite easily and fast.  I told the guy on the phone I wanted my $5.95 back and for my identity to be cleared from their system.  He immediately says "Ok, I will.  Have a nice day."
I asked how he knew my name and information and how he is going to make sure this happens, he simply said that he has my phone number and will do it with that, and another "have a nice day."
I said to him, I'm not sure what you guys are doing here, but it's definitely illegal.  Once more, another "have a nice day", clearly trying to get me off the phone.

But if you call your bank they will be more than willing to refund you your money (if it turns out to be actual fraud) and send you a new check card free of charge.

Also, if you google "Walmart gift card scams" there is an option to report scams.  I suggest we all do this so this can come to an end.

Another also, isn't it quite certain this is a scam when a person calls the 877 number and immediately the voice inquires if we are calling because we haven't received our gift card! and it's the only problem mentioned!!

OMG me to....I am furious!!!!

I wished that I had checked this out before I let them take my money.  One thing that I am going to do though is contact the BBB, FBI, The AG office in New York state and my bank and tell them what these people are up too and let them do something about it because these people need to be put behind bars for stealing because that is what they did.

Yeah, I too fell for the stupid trap of hoping to get a gift, but did have gotten charged 5.95 for S&H.  Thankfully I used my credit card so I can get the charge taken off.  Be wise, and AVOID ANYTHING SCAM LIKE THIS!

I am getting a run around as well.  After ten plus days, I called to see what was the hold up. The first time I was told that for some reason my voucher was sent back and they will send me another one.  Ten days after that I was called again and was told it was on its way.  I then called three days ago and they couldn't find my information.  I think it is a rip off.

I just called again and ACTUALLY got through. I guess i will see now if they actually refund my 4.95 to my account. I can only suggest to anyone who goes through this to do the same, and be extremely persistant!! These people actually tried to tell me that they had to find another company to get their "voucheres" from, and that it was just sent out last Friday! OMG! And, if not for you wonderful people, I probably would have fallen for that one as well. I am presently waiting for a manager to call me because I will NOT stand for this to continue! They may change their name, their number, whatever they will do, but they will not continue this way as long as I can help it. I hope this helps.
