Your situation is very similar to what brought me in to an abiding hatred of frauds. I was once used as a reference for an on-line loan. One thing led to another, here I am.
Never be surprised at what frauds can find out about you. It's all out there. Most of it can be found by something as mundane as asking "Google".  Yep, there you are! No big deal.
Learn. Play with it. Never worry. You know you have nothing to hide. People panic because they think a fraudulent report may appear on their credit report. Ask yourself, why? If an invalid credit report shows up, your prospective lender is going to be the first one out there to try and disprove it. Do you think he gets paid for denying loans? It's always a process. You say. They say.  The pundit that denies you a loan, based on an inaccurate FICO, is not going to held in great esteem by the guys that are turning the wheels. Believe me, I know! Been there. Done that. Poor B*****d, "never had a chance to thank him".
You're only a cog in the wheel if you let yourself be one. A single fly in the ointment can cause a serious rash. Always remember, at one point you're just a number. Step up to the plate, now you're a player.
Be a player & always remember to....
Live Well.

Debt Collector
They told me that I was a co-defendant in a lawsuit involving a defaulted loan. The Defendant was a family member who is delinquent, so either my family member committed fraud and signed my name on the loan or this harassing company lied just to get information on the real defendant but the weird thing was they had my name and ALSO had my social security number. NOT GOOD!

Interesting because I received an e-mail from them today, and they are SSA Group, and they reference this phone number to call them back at.

They have also used 1-877-774-1878 and 1-877-957-1761.

Interesing if they were a legimate business how they would have so many different contact phone numbers.

Their e-mail contact has this-SamuelSoleandAssociatesLLC_scs@gcnotify.com.

When I research them online under the BBB- they have an"F" rating.  They are supposedly located in NY, but I live in another state miles away.

I have reported them to the FTC and checked with my state, and they are not licensed to do business in my state.

Some "scam" debt collectors trying to collect on debt that is already paid, or doesn't belong to you; they must want some extra holiday cash and are looking for anyone to respond back who will answer them.

So tired of these kinds of people who act illegally..........

Received an e-mail from them today-not sure why or how they contacted me as I don't live in NY nor do I have a payloan with any companies located in NY. This is the e-mail that it came from-SamuelSoleandAssociatesLLC_scs@gcnotify.com.

They are not licensed to do business in my state as I have checked with the Department of Commerce.

They also have contacted me on other occassions to call these two other numbers:

1-877-957-1761
1-877-774-1878

If you look them up online under the BBB- they have an F rating.

They are scammers looking for money on debts that you don't owe or have already paid off.  They must want some holiday cash for their own spending and are looking for anyone who will respond to them.

My suggestion is don't reply or respond back to them.  Ignore them.
