I just received a call from this company.  My caller ID says BENEFIT XCHANGE 561-439-5252 but the phone message announced the company as "401K" and the number they left on my voicemail for a return call is the 877-777-4015 number.

I hope this adequately addresses everyone's concerns regarding the BBB rating.  Everyone is right that an "F" rating appeared in December 2011 and January 2012.  Here's some additional information you should know.  Companies must reply to all complaints filed with the BBB in a specified time frame.  Failure to do so results in an "F" rating.  The regional BBB assigned a new hire to handle our company.  This individual sent a complaint to a PO Box rather than the company's physical address.  We were unable to reply to the complaint in the time required because of the mistake.  We were subsequently given an "F" rating.  Once it was discovered that we were given the "F" rating, the CEO had several meetings with the BBB.  Because the cause of the rating was not the fault of 401K Exchange, the BBB regional office agreed to remove the rating completely to prevent any additional negative damage to our company.  Only the regional board can recommend a change in the rating and only meets periodically.  Once their process has run its course, I am confident a positive rating will once again show on the BBB site.

It's great that you feel so strongly about your company, but you have to understand that some people just don't want your service.  My company happens to be in that category but your employees just don't take "NO" for an answer.  The pressure that you are placing on people to use your service pushes people to believe that your service is NOT very good because you apparently have no customer longevity! When a customer or potential customer says they are not interested accept it and move on - DO NOT CALL REPEATEDLY day in and day out as you are making your company look worse.  This posting of yours was not very professional either!!

STOP CALLING!!!!

BBB Accreditation

A BBB Accredited Business since 01/31/2008

BBB has determined that 401K Exchange meets BBB accreditation standards, which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints. BBB Accredited Businesses pay a fee for accreditation review/monitoring and for support of BBB services to the public.

BBB accreditation does not mean that the business' products or services have been evaluated or endorsed by BBB, or that BBB has made a determination as to the business' product quality or competency in performing services.

i happen to work there and you my friend("bothered) are entirely wrong about denying the service....it would actually benefit you.....alot of people are sceptical(to say the least)but we have been in businesss a very long time and have a great reputation in the 401 and healt benefits servicing department. You just have a closed mind to new ideas. We have experts that give their time, energy and out of pocket gas money to come to businesses like yours simply to show you how thier costs differ from what you are paying now.We have 99.9% success in saving companies money. The reason for the appointment is to give you an idea on what you may or may not be wating large amounts of your money on.Worst case scenario, you see that your broker is doing a fabulous job protecting your interests and if not,our advisors simply show you how to do better upon your next renewal,,,,you don't need a checkbook,a credit card, nothing, just an open mind and you my friend will save lots of cash next time you renew. We wouldn't be in business this long with such a high rating if we were scamming or slamming people. So next time 401k or Empolyer Health Care calls,I would suggest you listen, learn and trust....We are not hurting anyone, but we are helping millions of companies save HUGE amounts of money.

Got a few calls from this number.  Is Pat at 401kExchange.  Asks alot of questions about our corporate retirement plan and is very insistant to "set up a meeting with a local advisor for a free evaluation of our plan"  Will not take no for an answer.  I tried to be polite and I kept repeating...  Thank you but we are NOT INTERESTED!.. He is very persistant and is becoming a PAIN!  I even told him that his inability to listen to me when I tell him I am not interested makes me question the professionalism of his company...  boy that ticked him off and he responds with "I'm just doing my job."
Watching my caller ID for BENEFITS XCHANGE.  Will not answer again.
