Just received a call from IRS officer brad Nelson stating about a criminal case against me. Call from 844-298-0231 and the messages received from 943-494-2666
It is fraud

I received a phone message stating; "my name is Officer Brad Nelson from the IRS Tax Audit Department.  We  got a legal complaint with your name and social security number.  We are trying to contact you before we start legal proceedings and send the police to arrest you because this is a criminal act.  Do not ignore this call; the number is 877-777-4152."

When I tried to return the call, the recording said the number had been disconnected.

Mine was from officer Steve Marks though his accent was not at all American.  Going to lien all my property and have the sheriff come to my house.  I asked him why I had received no notices and he said I had given them the wrong house.  I asked for my address and he couldn't tell me.  I said if you have my cell number you should have the address.

I just got this same call this morning. I told the guy, he is committing fraud. I told him I knew he wasn't with the IRS because I am an Enrolled agent and a Tax Preparer and this is not one of our numbers. Do not give any information to these people!

Did he say he was  officer gary nelson from irs tax audit dept.. he said my name as debi and with the irs it is debbra.  I think legal action should be against him.

This is not a true IRS phone number but a scam with people trying to get you to send them money directly. You can reach the real IRS @ 800-829-1040 (see IRS.gov).

I just recd a vm from a officer nelson from the irs tax audit dept stating there is a criminal complaint against me that is on my credit report and going to start legal procedure to arrest me.  My taxes are done by a professional.  This people need to be stopped.  It can really give someone a attack and die.  Glad I typed this number in and found others getting the same.

Got 2 CALLS today...Said I was involved in Fraudulent Activity.....Left Message on Machine....
Sounded like an OFF SHORE call, as the Male accent was Caribbian....

We got a call from the same number yesterday. They said there was a legal complaint against my wife's name and SSN, and to not to ignore the call. But we did not call back. Has anybody else called back?

We got the same exact type of call about the same time.  

Received a call asking to confirm our mailing address, then went on to say that we owe IRS $$$ and we have not responded to their numerious attemps to contact us,,,so we are now sending police to your address.
