I received my first call from "William Anderson" ("Unknown" on the caller ID) today stating that he had been hired, no retained, to send me service of process for several complaints against me.  He stated that he needed me to call back to give my home address.  If I do not do so within the next few hours, I would lose my "one chance" to settle this matter outside of court.  They would then send summons to me at home, my office, or in public.  He gave me 888-403-7834 to call back, along with a file number, and then stated ominously that they would be "looking for me."

My first clue that this is a scam or shady debt collector..... that they need me to give them my home address.  If you have my cell phone number, then you likely have my home address, since I haven't moved in almost 10 years.  Second, summons or service of process are served by a sheriff, not some scuzzy paid lackey.  And third, send me a certified letter, and you'll get legal confirmation of delivery.  

These phone calls are harassment and scare tactics to take away what little money I have to take care of my family.  Proceed legally or bug off!!!!!

hey i also got a call. the processor who called me was frank watowski. he had stated that i had an account of wire fraud. they had called me at my wrk and got my supervisor on the phone. he called me in the office and told me the msg that frank had left with him and gave me the info to call them back. my supervisor did tell me not to have them call there again otherwise he was going to report to the boss. so i called them back and i had spoke to attorney robert keene about my case. my case number is bmg326783. so i had gotten told that it was going to go in litigation if this account wasnt resolved. so robert keene had got me approved for a settlement on the account i had. my original balance was $1798.36. i was then concerned when i heard that. i did ask y it was so high and was told that was that high due to the high interest on pay day loans and from the collection agency's i had ignored b4. they did get the collection fees off but couldnt get the interest fees off. so i had went and got a prepaid card from walmart and loaded the money on the card. the settlement offer i had gotten was for $948. i was relieved that i didnt have to pay the $1798.36. so i had saved $850 from my balance. i had only took out the payday loan for $450 but the interest on these accounts is really high. and what load doesnt have interest. so i agreed to pay them and they had emailed me a receipt and documents stating what account it was and etc. and i did have them fax over info to my wrk that was taken care of so this way they knew they wouldnt get contacted again. so my opinion is to be civil with these people and just listen. i would see what they recommend and see if u cant get approved for a settlement offer like i did. it helped me out. so see what they recommend and go from there.

I recieved a phone tonight from my wifes ex husband. This person who called his house from this phone number connected me and him together somehow. He called them and they told him i had wrote a bad check and he was a co-signer for me. Highly untrue.

I have received voicemail from a guy named Mark Stevens, he says he is with Nationwide Process Server and that he will serve me papers but first I need to contact 8778581038(which I called and it says Sterling and Roberts), well I don't know if I should contact them or not? Because if I was going to get papers for court wouldn't I have gotten served already no questions or phone calls? I'm going to report this company.

I'm on a mission to bring these LOSERS down. Do not fall for anything People. They will try to menipulate you and catch you off gaurd and violate your rights. I just wonder how many elderly has been scammed by these THUGS? Help is on the way. You must not ignore these THUGS!
You must investigate this issue and contact the authorities that handles these types of illegal issues.

I have contacted the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISIONS and talked to them about this issue and they also told me it was a SCAM and do not fall for anything they are telling you. They told me they will send it in and the law inforcements that deal with these types of illegal scams will investigate them.
If anyone gets an address for these scammers please report them to your ATTORNEY GENERAL and the BBB and leave there address on this board to show who they really are.

I have the same complaints about these same jokers. The same lady that calls for this so called SULLIVAN AND RANDOLPH LAW FIRM is the same lady that leaves messages for another so called lawfirm called STERLING AND ROBERTS LAW FIRM which none does not exist. Her so called name is (ATTORNEY ASHLEY WILLIAMS). She leaves messages at my home and at my work about how I need to contact them ASAP or they will be filing papers to take me to court. LOL!!!  I already contacted my lawyer she also called the same nuimber and she told me it is a SCAM. We already sent out letters and emailed to the ATTORNEY GENERAL and filed a complaint to the BBB. So help is coming my friends. You must do the same.

I had the same call for about a month. The gentleman that has been calling his name is William Anderson and said that had a payday loan and need to get it paid or they were going to charge me with wire fraud and for bounching money cross the state line and i would get served court papers. The he called me and left a message on my cell and told me they would settle for 700.00 but i would only have until 2 pm (2 hrs by there time). I was told alot of stuff and i even had a friend that was going to help me out with the money. Nothing sounded right that he was telling me it was just really strange. So i am going to keep up with this.   Thanks

they just called my work right now threatening me saying I committed wire fraud an they were going to take me to court.   this isn't the first time they've called so I wasn't worried since I've already read this site and knew it was a scam.   How can they do this??  they need to stop calling my job!!  this guy said his name was Eugene from Sullivor Randolph law firm and he was talking so fast and low - it's ridiculous!

Hell I am getting those calls for a person that is not even my name! and the # is always Unknown But one time they left a message from # 877-373-5009 and gave me a case # I am so sick of this abuse of my Cell phone! I have asked for a return call? Maybe!

I just got a call from a Thomas Wright giving me a case number and saying I will be charged with wire fraud. I haven't called them back but I will be calling the AG of Pennsylvania and the AG of Delaware.   Only law inforcement can charge you with a crime (wire fraud). It seems that the phone numbers changed but it's still the same scam. You have to get a court order to tax your wages. My company will not tax the wages unless they have something from the courts. My suugestion is to keep track of the number of times you're called, the names of the people who call you and dates and times. Law inforcement will need this information.

I recieved a call from this number stating his name was William Anderson saying I owed a old payday loan and I had three days to come up with 622.00.

I got a call from  these jerks last year saying the same thing. They said they were going to see me incourt after calling my mother and father. I told them see you then. Now a year later I am getting calls from them again. i told them to send something in writing and he said the client didn't allow that. He did alot of talking over me and interruppting. When I asked for an address to send letter telling them to stop calling, he refused. Kick rocks buddy

ANother thing, Subpeonas are NOT served via mail or by guys in beat up POS cars, they are served by your local Sherriff's department, in marked offical cars. If you receive something in the mail, turn it over to your local authorites, call the subposed Court House, get the number from the phone book, not from the letter, and have the records clerk look up the case number, in most cases, scuh as  mine, they can not find it or there is no such case number, "we do not number cases in that manner" was my reply.

F^CK OFF Gabe, your nothing but a lieing B^$?^rd, A plant from this company, this is a 3rd party debt collector that purchases old debts abnd then searches you down by calling everyone that may have known you. In most cases the debt is either covered by your past bankruptcy,  or has expired both state and federal statute of limitations, DO not give these scam artists any of your info, if they are serious they can give you THEIR info for your attorney to contact them. Better your state Attorney Gereral's Office. If they continue to harrass you contact your attorney's gerneral office, if they threaten you, contact the FBI it is a Federal Crime.

Also, in my state there is no wage garnishment for civil judgments.  Only child support and taxes.

I am getting the same calls from this person.  I have tried to locate him in the New York bar and he's not there, this William Anderson.  If you call the 877 number they say they are from Elmhurst, NY.  
I don't know what to think about these people or how to punish them.  Any ideas?

GOT A CALL FROM THE SAME COMPANY. THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE ME WITH DETAILS OF MY DEBT AND IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO REACH ANYONE IN THIER SO CALLED OFFICE. PLEASE WHAT SHOULD I DO. THEY TOLD ME I WOULD BE SERVED AT MY JOB OR MY HOME.

I looked them up on the BBB website and they have an F rating.  The website listed is not valid.  There's an email address of jsullivan@sr-recovery.com.  I sent them and email but I don't know if it's even valid.  I'm going to file complaints with the BBB, AG, FTC and my file a police report.

I received a call from them today.  They stated that I was going to be served court papers at my job and at my home.   I asked them to send me copies of the orginal debts since they said they were from 2008.  The man said that it would take to long because the papers are being served in 24-48 hours.  This is the first I've heard from this company.   It's pretty convienent that they don't call until there's no time for them to send you debt validation.   I then asked the man for what address they had for my job.  All he could give me was the name of my company.  Then he said he had another client on the other line so he didn't have time to look up the address.  Then I told him to stop calling my job and he stated that he did not have to.  When I explained to him that it's against the law to call a person's job once they ask you not to, he hung up on me.   It sounds like a scam but if I receive another call at work I'm going to sue.

Received a call stating I will be charged with wire fraud, and that I got a "loan" from them. They also put me on hold, and then when he came back on the man told me that while on hold, I admitted to taking a loan out. HAHAHA

I also recieved a call for old debt, the gentleman I spoke to could not identify the original copy debt was from and the amount owing is over double the original amount. He was able to provide that. I asked him without having original creditors name how was I to know or trace if it was mine. He gave me the date and told me to check my records and call him back. I am sending out a validation request along with a statment not to be contacted by phone. The original person who called was a Nicole Treveno from 877-777-9122 and when I called that number it was not an option to speak to her recording gave a list of people and extension, so I pushed an extension to get a person who stated Nicole may be in thier processing center he wasnt sure. He then pulled my account and referred me to some one else. Maybe they have gotten in trouble as the gentleman I spoke to was nice for the most part, tried his legal verbage, which I didnt play into. He did provide address 2217 Matthews Township Parway Suite D 243, Matthews, NC 28105.
