A Becky Smith called me on my cell number saying I have a court summon under a case number  regarding fraudulent check.  She instructed I need to call 877-781-1278 and ask about the case number. I asked her what office is she representing and aswered State of California, and I asked what specific office of the State of the California...all she says is just call this number.  
Told her point blank I don't believe what she says..( besides I know some of CA law), and that any court summons is always in writing. She was not able to answer me and I hang up.

They called me stating they were a state processor and that I had 24 hours to call back or they would file charges against me for passing a bad check and trying to defraud a financial institution.  I have looked over the internet and they seem to be scamming people. The phone number they gave me to call back was to ACS Group.  Said I could settle this matter by talking to the plantiff.

Received the same call yesterday.  From a Jessica Patterson stating possible bad check charges and that if I did not call back within 24 hours that I would be served with papers and taken to court.  I fell for a scam like this a year ago and now I hate answering these calls.  They really try to scare you into paying everything you have.

Funny, I recieved the same message last night on my machine.  Said I was being served for a bad chack, I don't use checks, and that someone would come to my home or work.  Ha, I'm going to call them back and have some fun!

I received the same message today but for my in-laws (who don't live with us).  The lady who called and left the message on our answering machine said the same things as "doubtful" but the lady's name that called was H. Morris. I agree doubtful they are very rude and breaking laws.

Received a call asking for me by my maiden name. 1) first issue I have been married for a hot minute so anything they had should of been through my married name.(2) They ( Kim Logan) stated they were with a debt processor and needed to serve me at home and at work - since when does a debt collector have legal authority to serve a person? (3) Closing with "Good luck with your case" huh? When did that become professional? I work as a cop that registers as the third big ringing bell. We are not friends you are not close to me. This is not legal or even remotely appropriate.

When I called the number that was left for me it came back to ACS. I asked for who the company was that filled case against me for a bad check ( all my loans have been through actual banks and have all been repaid in full). She was unable to provide that and claimed she legally could not divulge that information. I asked for the case number that the summons was filed under, county, and state so I could contact the court. She refused to provide that to me ( public information is not illegal to divulge and is a required submission when requested). I informed "Kim Logan" to send all corresponding information then to my P.O. Box. She said they had to serve me in person. I laughed and said you claimed you did that with a voicemail on a cell phone that isnt in my name. Kim Logan then began to raise her voice at me and said I would pay them or I would be in court. - Anyone with a crumb of professional bearing would not be screaming at me for asking for basic information.

I did a reverse phone check and google search after my call and found the previous complaints against her and this company. BTW as public knowledge even if a company has a toll free number it is suppose to be registered to them. So far when it comes to ACS I have found several postings with more than a dozen different numbers posted for this "Company". Be warned if dealing with these scam artists they will attempt to bully and berate you.
