It would be good if everyone wrote up their complaints and sent it to the Florida Attorney General's office. you can do it as an online complaint. Anyone who actually lost money would be the best.

My scammer was "Rafael". He used the standard scam you all have mentioned. For me, William & ruth Snyder/Sneider of Milwaukee, WI. were buying Hawaiian properties.

I've been getting calls from Travel by Owner and they're being very persistent.  They say they have a couple from Milwaukee who want to buy our time share but I need to provide all the documents to prove title and no liens etc. etc., at a cost of around $1200.  They say I can even get in contact with the buyers if I'm skeptical.  Since we've been burned before, I feel sorry for unsuspecting people out there - these guys are really good at what they do.  Has anyone had any success in selling their time share through this company?

I have been contacted by Travel Buy Owner from a 407 area code number but gave me  the call back number as 1-877-783-5231. Similar story above that there were couple of old friends who want to buy property in Florida and they have already brought 3 and looking for a final one. They have also accepted my re-offer and made a down payment of 20%. They wanted me sign a credit card authorization towards documentation for the sale closing which will happen in about 90 days. When I started asking asking a number of questions, they said since it will be a credit card payment I will also have protection against fraud and do not have to worry much. They also said our conversation and agreement is recorded for my protection. Now I am thinking why should I pay upfront when the closing is only going to happen later. Any thoughts/comments.. please help.

This is Travel Buy Owner. Do not get involved with them. I did and regret from the day I did. They led me on as if they had a buyer for my timeshare but they keep putting me off for a while longer after they had my money.

Scam. I got bit for $1200 and I am still trying to heal. Same story. Talked to "Buyer" who happened to be there in the office. No sale yet. Not holding my breath on this. Any money up front company appears to be a scam.

Guys, back on December I got a call from a company quite similar TIMESHARE TITLE SERVICES in FL and they said they had a buyer for my timeshare, they got me in my five minutes of .... and I did agree sending a check for $ 1,900 USD for closing. They said that I was getting my check 3 weeks after that, as you can imagine I never got it. Just last monday I received a report of the Miami Sheriff's office saying that there is an open case for this company.
I just got a call from 407-520-5930 asking me to call back at 877-783-5231 the ID says TRAVEL BY OWNER and the system is just like the one I was victim of, The woman said they had a buyer for my timeshare.
My opinion, do NOT do it. I have the same question as Eddie, how do they get our information?

My mother got a call. She said I was handling it all and gave them my number. Interestingly this guy "Greg Matthews" of the "Finance Department" said he didn't want to bother me cuz I was at work. I have been getting a ton of these calls and my e-mail spam is full of messages for Timeshare sales.

I also get e-mails from my time share provider, Geo Holidays Group to warn against these scams. Now of course if they are not part of selling our names and numbers, how do these scammers get our legitimate e-mail and phone numbers.  The only people I provided these to is to the Geo Holiday Group.  I have asked several times if they are in on it and they have never dignified me with a response.

The same company called us offered 4,360 and they wanted a closing payment of 1,500 I checked it it is a toll free number off of a cell phone back away!!! They also said the person wanting to buy was Robert Gainz and the telemarketer name is alex stopped short when we said we will research on it

Got several calls from them telling me that 2 different buyers had deposited money into an account set up for me.  They just needed $1500 for each property to do all the paperwork.  Everything was guaranteed and I have 7 days to back out.  I said why would I back out if I am actually getting twice what I asked for.  I told them I would have to do some research and then she got short with me and said they couldn't hold it.  Then I told them that the Web says that it is a scam and "run" and that they got an "F."  They said they aren't registered with the BBB just a onlinebusinessbureau.com.  Yeah, right.  Anyway--run away.

I checked with the BBB and they are rated F

Run away from this as fast as you can. I didn't and got stung. Now waiting to see if I will ever see any of my money again.

Have you found out anything about this company? I've got same call today, that they have a buyer whose willing to buy my timeshare. Is this company a scam!!!

Have you found out anything? I got a call a few days ago and again today saying they have a buyer, Mr. and Mrs. Miller, who wants to buy my timeshare.. Of course they want good faith payment but I'm still very skeptical..
