ksanders..i had the same experience...they said they had a package for me via us express mail...i gave them an address to deliver to (not mine, because it was a suspicious call, i wasnt expecting a package) and nothing ever showed up. how much damage can one do..what precautions can i take??

Rcvd a call on cell and on office number from 877.786.0654 a few days ago.  Only 3 people outside the business have access to the office number.  The call to my office was to inquire as to my employment and when asked, they gave an address for me which belonged to a friend of mine 8 years ago.  I had NEVER used that address for my mail and refused to give them a home address.  I assumed it was a bill collector altho I do not have any old debts, or current unpaid debt either.  Now I have someone trying to glean info from my cell phone provider.  I was notified and the caller was refused any information.  Scary!

tried to call back again, 877 is NOt a prefix.

i know it is a bill collector phone spoofing.

this phone spoofing, this is what they do to try to trick you, and make you answer the phgone.

total scam do not answer.

got a call with this CLID on 1/25.  guy said he was call from "US Express Mail" for a Ron Rainwater, a name i'd never heard.  when i asked what number he dialed, he started to give me a number in the 310 area code.  the number he reached me on was a 415 number.  he hung up (or the call was disconnected) half-way through.  i guess someone is trying to build or check a database of numbers?  i tried to call the number and it doesn't lead anywhere.

this number called me 3 times in a row, back to back, i did not answer. they did not leave a message.
i did not fall for this phone spoofing, 877 is not a phone prefix.
this is a scam by a fraudulent bill collector and i have no outstanding debt.

this is a scam and is illegal, do not answer.
