I just got the same call to my Virgin Mobile phone.

Same message as other posts, women saying she found a solution to my problem and could cut my credit card interest rate to 1.5%. I never called them before nor do I know what she was talking about. Terry Green was her name.

I got the same call.  I started getting them in January of this year.  The first few I received had a male speaking, but saying the same thing.  Now I'm getting one with a female caller.  I have probably had them call me nearly 10 times in the past year.

Same message...fast talking woman going to help me with my payments by lowering them!

My mother received a message on her Verizon cell phone on December 6, 10, from the the same woman who said she was calling her back and had found an answer to my mother's credit card problem and she found out she could lower her interest rate to 1.5%, but my mother does not have a credit card!

Not illegal. Sorry ...but it's not.

Same details as others mention (reducing my credit, to 1.5%). However the caller's voicemail said her name was Kerri Green. And the call orginated from 989-631-7668.

Robo call from 810-985-8403 as likely fake CID.  (Reverse lookup to apparent private home number in MI)  

Fast talking recorded female identifying as Terry Greene from Credit Solutions, pretensing returning my call (I never had contact with any such company) and "found a solution".  Requested callback before 10 pm to 877-786-0934

Yeah, I just checked my messages and found out that I got a call from this random number that I didn't recognize, so I listened to the meassage and it was from this Terry Greene woman who I had never heard of before. It sounded like a real message saying that "we had talked last week about lowering my credit/intrest rates and she had found a solution to the problem" and she said that this would be great for me because  only making the minimum payments. Mind you, I don't have a credit card or intrest rates yet because im too young. I thought that it was just a wrong number or something so I called back to say that they had the wrong person and they might want to try a different number, and when I asked for Terry Greene they conveniently said that she wasnt there, and they insisted that I give them my phone number so that I could leave a message and she would know what number to call me back on. Then a few minutes later they called again with the exact same message. Just then, I realized something, and that was that they had called me before in November of 2010, but it was a different woman who also claimed that she was Terry Greene, but I know that it wasnt the same person because this women had an accent that I couldnt quite make out.

If anyone gets one of these messages, dont call the number back because they will steal your number and then sell it to other fraud/tellermarketing companies so they can call you. I have no idea how, but Im going to find a way to report this number

I got a message from this number 1877-786-0934, from a girl, like a college student or so, i have noooo idea what is that about...any comments?

Becky! Same here! Got the number (989) 631-7668 with the same 877 callback and same recorded message at 6 p.m. on 1/5/2011. Actually sounded like a real voicemail though, not recorded, although I knew it was recorded. Here is the Google Voice transcription, which varies slightly from the other one that was posted:

Yea I got that call too, but when i look in my "missed calls" the number is 989-631-7668. Stupid people.

I got the same voicemail while I was at work.  It is a recording which is why it cut some of the message off.  I know that this is a scam because I don't even own, nor have I ever owned a credit card of any kind!

Bot call from 898-894-5563 (probably a fake CID).  

Prerecorded message (the first part was cutoff) indicating that they had found a solution as I am only making the minimum payments on my credit card (I don't carry a credit card balance, so it was easy for me to recognize this as a cold call where they have no real information on me). Called was to my AT&T cel.  I filed a complaint with the FCC online.

Yup, same msg, appeal, return number.  Cute voice, prob college age,  but she's working for scum.  Hope she gets herpes meningitis and dies a slow death on a ventilator while her CSF leaks out her nostrils from her edematous brain.  Just a happy thought to get me through the day :)

You are correct. This call is a scam and is highly illegal due to Federal law. They did not "find" your number. The use automatic dialing systems that call numbers sequentially. You were just called at random. They did not target you specifically.

There is a new company that is creating these scam illegal robo-calls. One of the largest scam robo-telemarketing was shut down by the Feds early in 2010. Here is where you can learn of the Federal complaint:

Yeah same call also. What they are praying on are people with bad memories. Hope companies like this get there a***s sued. Think there also needs to be a law against this type of solicitation. I have seen ton of emails like that and makes me sick people would pull that type of crap.

Oh...by the way, my call came from 810-985-7273 but left a call back number of 877-786-0934.  I did not try calling either number because I wanted to look it up first.

Got it 3 hours ago. Same text as the google transcribed one. The funny thing is that I do not have a credit card to begin with. I was assuming she had the wrong person until I saw your posts, so thanks :)

I too have gotten this call twice now and I did call it back because it makes me mad to get this call, I too got "Diane", Terry Greene was conveniently not there. She wanted me to leave a number for Terry to cross reference my number with the one she supposedly had. I absolutely refused and stated that I did not need their help. She claimed to be a debt consolidation just trying to help people. I want to report them because I know it is a scam and it really bothers me that they have my cell number.

I got the same message, in fact i've gotten it a number of times from Ms Terry Greene. They give you a call back number of 1-877-786-0934. when you call you get a "Diane" and she claims they are a group of non-profit organizations to help people with credit card debt, and refuses to tell you how they got your information and that putting you through to anyone else is a waste of time (she didnt say that, but refused to transfer me regardless.) Mind you i HAVE NO CREDIT CARD! So pretty interesting that i got that call numerous times this past year. Even oncec i told them this, they wanted to my number, its a scam, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING! They still call me to this day on my cell. Just ignore them.

Got the same call from Terri Green, and called the number back, got someone else...I asked what her company was, she said Consumer Debt and when I asked if it was a for profit she said no...wanted my phone number, but I wouldn't give it...I have not made any such contact with someone...do not give out info to any person making unsolicited calls....I hope this doesn't really work for them????
