Received call from them last evening (08 November 2012). Call display identified them as "Advanis". No message left on answering machine (and I will never answer a call if I do not recognize the caller).

This number has been calling and calling for long period of time, most days 2-3 times.  When i finally answered today, no one answered, last call left a partial message to call this number and an ext.  Did not identify who they were or what they want.....What I would like....STOP CALLING...!!!  This is getting old.
This truly borders on deliberate harassment.

they called me a couple minutes ago asked how many people in my house were over 15. I said 2. He asked if I had a minute to complete a survey I said sure and thought I'd play along. He then asked who the next person that would have a birthday if it was me. I said no and he asked if that person was available and I said no so he said ok thanks for your time and hung up. Weird to say the least.

They called me last week (Aug 28, 2012) saying it was a Health Canada Survey. At first I said "okay" but it quickly got very strange and I think they were asking very odd and inappropriate questions. I hung up.

I have received 64 calls from this number in the past 5 weeks. Of course I have not answered after initially answering and finding out it is a survery.
How do I block this number???????

A girl with an accent claimed to be calling from health canada.
She asked me if there was any person 15 and above in the house and when i said I was, she asked my name.  I became even more suspicious... why would health canada or public health canada call me on a stat holiday and ask me my name... isn't that against confidentiality... they should already know my name and ask me to confirm it.
Anyway, so I said I'm not telling my name unless I know what this is about... She said it was to assess effects of alcohol and drug use in people above age 15.  
I hung up.

I have been receiving the call for weeks now, no message, no answer when I answer it call the number back and it is saying it is from Health Canada.. doing a drug survey.. take me off ths list please

This is a Canada Revenue fax number for PEI,  so I don't understand why anyone would be getting calls from them!

They keep calling my number.  Who are they???   Guess I will have to answer one of these days to find out.  Thought it was the Bank of Nova Scotia but may be someone else.

Four calls in an hour and a half is a little crazy.  SOMEONE HAS A PROBLEM.  Even when I answer nobody talks to me !!!

Received a call twice today from this number. We are with Primus Talk Broadband VOIP so I can permanently block this number. Any further attempts to call us gets greeted with "the person you are calling does not accept calls from this number". End of story.

I called their 800 number listed on their site, press 0 and spoke with someone, told them to take me off their call list.  Was told they would, see if it works!

I HAVE RECEIVED MANY CALLS IN THE PAST FEW WEEKS FROM THIS NUMBER.  BEING REGISTERED ON THE 'DO NOT CALL LIST' DOESN'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE.  LUCKY FOR ME I HAVE CALLER ID AND DO NOT ANSWER UNLESS I RECOGNIZE THE CALLER....IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THIS NUMBER  IS CALLING MANY PEOPLE......VERY ANNOYING....THERE MUST BE SOME WAY TO MAKE IT STOP......FIRST THEY WERE MAKING CALLS DURING THE DAYTIME, NOW I AM REALLY MAD THAT THEY STARTED MAKING EVENING CALLS.....THEY CAN REMOVE MY NUMBER FROM THEIR LIST ANYTIME!!! TICKED OFF IN PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND.

When you get a call and there is nobody there, it is the system they use to call. Computer based, it uses predictive dialing to dial from a list of phone numbers. This makes telemarketing more efficient so they don't waste man power time with answering machines, busy signals, disconnected lines etc.

As soon as you answer, the computer system transfers the call to an available telemarketer. If none are available, it disconnects the call (hangs up)

I downloaded the "do daa deeee" sound that includes the lady saying, the number you have dialed is not in service. and whenever I get a call from 800, 866, 877 number, I answer it and hold my phone up to the speakers and crank the volume.

It tricks their computers into thinking the number is no longer in service and (i think) deletes your number form their systems.

They keep calling, I don't answer.   Sometimes I will answer these annoying calls and when they ask for a certain person in the house, I say just a minute and lay the phone down, go about my business, until I hear the beeping that they have hung up.    I like to waste their time too.

Been Receiving calls from this number every 2 days. Finally I decided to pick up and after a short pause a man with a french accent answered and stated some french name and said that he was with Health Canada and started asking about how many people live in my house.

I had my 12 year old son answer since I figured it was a solicitor, who else calls three nights in a row at dinnertime and won't leave a message? My son answered, said hello, then a pause, then hello, then a pause, and kept doing this about 20 times, pausing in between.  The guy said, I know you can hear me and then finally said okay fine bye lol...we'll see if they call again tomorrow :)

I got a set of 4 Panasonic cordless phones at Costco that you can program up to 20 numbers to block. I just added this number to my list since they kept calling 3-4 times daily. It works great. Best money I ever spent.

Received 4 calls in the last 4 days. Answered once at 8h30 at night. Said it was Santé Canada.

Info@hc-sc.gc.ca is the general Health Canada email address.

As this is a "survey" and not selling anything they don't fall under most of the rules of telemarketers - I've spoken to a human three times and told them not to call three times - i'm not hopeful it is over (7 calls in 6 days).

If you are getting these calls then I'd email the above three addresses - once Health Canada gets complaints about this company not stopping then maybe something will be done.
