Contact the bank that issued the card.  The phone number is on the card or on the statement.  Tell them what happened.  They can reject all future charges from that company and can probably get your money back.

What you said is not true - I never ordered anything from those crooks, yet they had the nerve to charge $37 to my Visa card!!  I have identity theft coverage, which everyone should have in this day and age, and tomorrow I'll call the Maryland State Attorney General's office.  The sooner these crooks are caught, the better!!

I sent $39.00 on line to "PSV NATURAL HEALTH" after seeing an on line ad for a book about cancer prevention. I never received the book, and after 2 phone calls to their toll free number ( 800-905-0306), they did not refund my money nor did I ever receive the book! I notified my bank, and am in the process of getting this resolved. This must be a bogus company, since there are so many complaints. BE VERY CAREFUL who you send money to. Check on the reliability of the company prior to sending money. I will never do business with companies I know nothing about anymore. Lesson learned, and glad it was not a large amount of money!

Card was charged $49 on 28 August 2013 from PSV Agora Financial. But I've not subscribed to any of their products nor given them my card number. This is widespread crime, according to multiple commments. Who will stop it ?

I received a $49 charge on my VISA.  I called the number and was told it is the Billing Company for International Living magazine subscription.  The IL billing was moved to Ireland, I want to retain the magazine (for now) and ended the call.

If you receive a periodical with automatic renewal such as IL, that may be where the charge is coming from.

I feel sorry for all of you who think you have been scammed. Nothing about the business is a scam. It is all because when you signed up, you either 1) didn't read everything or 2) (for product orders) saw that there was a way to get Free Shipping and didn't bother to read any of the three following confirmation screens telling you exactly what you were signing up for. Yes, the products and services are not for everyone, but they are extremely desirable for many, many people.
The only thing that I can agree with is that the "descriptor" on the credit card statement is not very clear. Otherwise, I would tend to agree that most people on here slandering these companies simply regret their decision to purchase.
Here's a good first step: call them directly. If you dispute the charge, it will hold your money up for up to 90 days and then they will likely win the battle and the charge will come back on your statement. And, once you initiate the dispute, you will not get any customer service from the company until it is resolved, because the bank is the only point of contact from that point forward.
The companies housed under these numbers have made many, many people very rich by following the advice they print in their publications.
And, for the SEC "investigating" Stansberry -- read again; that was like 2003. And if you really dig and read about it all, and are a sensible person, you will understand that the reason behind that investigation was so small and "silly", it shouldn't even be taken into consideration when reviewing the reputation of Stansberry & Associates. Basically, they printed a date on a publication that came and went, and the "action" did not happen. Followers panicked and pulled out, possibly losing money. Two weeks later, the action took place and those who waited became rich.

I  think your problem is in not recognizing the name of the billing company they use.  Many of us order these things (especially newsletters)  then forget we ordered them.  By the time the charge shows up on the cc,. and then under a different name,  we naturally assume it is fraud, when if fact it isn't.  I have done that and a simple call to the phone number given on the charge card tells you what was ordered.   Too bad a lot of writings are not followed up with the resolution.  Note many above, wrote before the time was up to credit your cc.. I think many of the people just don't want to admit they made a mistake, so don't follow-up with the truth..

It 's fine to alert others but you need to be completely HONEST, and follow up when a positive outcome is reached.

I had a debit from my bank account with this phone number as a reference. I don't know what it is for either. Trying to find out who it is led me to your post. I called the number and got Hoover's (whoever they are). They just hung up on me saying I had the wrong number and they were not who I was looking for. "But," I said and was left holding a dead line. How these frauds got access to my bank account is what I want to know. :-(

I had a $49 charge show up as well on my bank statement. My bank gave me incorrect info on the source. I called the phone number listed and discovered the "company" involved contracts with numerous publications and services, and the charge (they had my name and all correct contact information) was for automatic annual for a magazine that we indeed subscribe to. The PSV on the credit card charge said "Ogora Ireland" which is where the magazine is published. So for us, this was not a fraudulent charge. ... I took the account off auto-renewal since they do NOT give you advance notification of when the charge will occur.

Received a call from this company and they answer the phone as "Subscriber Services".  They are a subscription processing hub for a lot of companies and a lot of different products.  They don't charge credit cards fraudulently but do charge based on the auto-renewal subscription you signed up for.

If they're calling you, it's because you have an account with one of their companies.  If they've charged your card, it's because you previously ordered something from one of their companies on an auto-renew basis.

This is  a charge from Stansberry Research. It is one of those programs where they continue to bill your card and send you stock market research even though you do not resubscribed.

I, too, found a charge on my credit card from PSV Health Sciences in Maryland,  but with a phone number of 888-240-6317.  My cc charge was $37.  I have ordered nothing! This happened yesterday (Saturday).  My credit card was immediately cancelled.  Maybe others would like to call them at the number listed here.
I will be calling them tomorrow for an explanation.  I got thru when I called yesterday, but only reached a recording saying they were closed.

Beware, I just got hit (October 07) by PSV*Natural Health Dossie (spelled as appeared on the credit card transaction) for USD 49.00  They claimed to have phone number 800-9050306 and location in MD. Of course, I reported this to my bank as a fraud. There was no phone call, just the above noted charge.

I had signed up for free email newsletters from International Living and after reading several of the newsletters, I agreed to sign up for a $67 one year subscription to International Living Magazine (paper version).  The day after I did, I got an email from them offering a special $49 subscription offer good for two days. I didn't have time to contact anyone and see if I could get the lower rate.  Today on my CC bill, I got a charge for $49 from PSV.  After seeing a previous mention of that name in this thread, I am hoping that it is for my one year subscription and that I automatically got the lower promotional rate.    However, after reading all the other concerned posters, I am going to contact them and verify that that is what it is for.   If so, then it would appear to be on the up and up, but they should warn subscribers to expect a charge from PSV and not International Living.
